If you would like to dispute that the pistols I mention cannot go off without manipulation of teh trigger, feel free to contact the legal deperatments of those companies, and to post that they will fail on an internet website. I dare you to claim that those pistols are unsafe and that they will fire if the trigger is not touched. -

To prove what I know to be true about the HK USP or the Sig P226? Not pulling the trigger for there is no safety other than the disconnector. Yes. As long as I could determine before hand that the weapon was not tampered with. I think you still have not endeavored to learn anything about how those two pistols are designed. -

How about Lou Palmisano? William Alexander? Gary Roberts? Scott Campos? John Rich? But of course you would claim that I could not possibly understand the flight characteristics, environmental conditions, or anything else, for you have proclaimed it. It is really quite complimentary of your status as an educator to assess the intellect of someone, and their capabilites. Thanks for lettng me know how intelligent you have deterimined I am. I stand in awe of your assessment skills. -

Why Pilots Should Not be Allowed Firearms on Planes
warpedskydiver replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
I see all these people who think that the statement about pointing a gun at my head are forgetting something. Whether a gun is loaded or not, even if done to illustrate an illogical point, to pint a gun at someone is regarded by all who know such things, as a absolute threat.( I can hit a grapefruit at 600meters) There is no court of law in this country that would construe pointing a weapon at someone as anything other than a threat against that person. If I wanted to demonstrate my point I certainly would not allow someone who harbors anmimosity or indifference to my life to point a gun at me and squeeze the trigger. How do I know what it in someones heart and mind? How do I know if that person will have an "accident" (liberal interpretation) or if that person would intentionally shoot me with a convenient excuse? If kallend wanted to prove a point about ballistic trajecory of a bullet, would he allow me to fire at a helium filled balloon suspended three feet over his head, with a rifle from 300yds? Of course alot of people here may not like me(even though they do not know me) what I have to say, or even what I stand for. That clouds their own judgement, and speaks for what is truly in their hearts. I ask you to think about that, of course since I am saying it, it will go without any refection upon it. -

http://www.ar15.com/content/manuals/USP_Armorers_Manual.pdf Pay attention to one small detail, there is a disconnector installed in these pistols. Unless the trigger is pressed/squeezed the firing pin cannot be struck by the hammer. There is no safety, because none is needed, there is a mechanical block that slides down when the trigger is pressed. Now we have firearms experts like kallend, and bill von to lecture us. Bill Von should understand that, but of course he will not side with mechanical fact when it has to do with firearms. And yet it is ok to suggest that someone wants to point a gun at my head, because it is me, it is not a threat. And yet I received a warning. Hippocrates. Do you understand that what you allowed could be considered to be implicit approval of a threat, since you seem to agree and condone it? -

Learn more about the firearm that was involved, this particular firearm has a feature that WILL NOT ALLOW THE PIN TO STRIKE UNLESS THE SAFETY IS OFF, AND THE TRIGGER IS PRESSED. Learn, there are differences between types of firearms. A rifle such as the AR-15 is a safe one, but yet one I can get to fire if the safety is on, if I try hard enough, it has a floating firing pin. The same cannot be done with either a Sig, or the HK USP. LEARN, all it takes it to examine an internal parts diagram. If you do not look, you will continue to be ignorant on this issue. -

You seem to completely miss my point. That pistol is a HK USP40 it cannot go off unless the saftey is off and the trigger is pressed. Sig is another that has the same type of feature. The firing pin cannot strike the primer unless the trigger is squeezed. As for pointing the pistol at me? FU, are you just plain stupid? You also claim alot of experience at using firearms, and then you say you will point a gun at me???? -

I can guarantee you that if the safety was on, the pistol will not fire. Of course in order for people to believe this, they will need to actually learn how the pistol is designed, and how the safety works. Sadly some people will always remain ignorant, and insist that modern firearms "just go off" -
Wow your friend does not kill combatants that have just killed fellow servicemen, and even shot him? He must have some really bad training. Or this is BS.

Just remember: Minutes/MOA and yards Mils and Meters. Do not mix and match. -

To help confuse you, the .mil also uses mils or milliradians. Of course the Army and the Marines have different views on what a mil is. But a mil is a meter at 1k -
Sounds like there would be alot of guys that would not feel comfortable asking a woman like her out. i.e. weasels, cowards, insecure men etc. If you still don't understand I cannot help you. I was not saying that in a derogatory way, but rather that she has proven herself, and others will take note of that.

You cannot pass up an opportunity to use a misleading premise to defend those you believe in. I guess dates, and or circumstances have no meaning to you. -

Negligence or the admission of, is the willingness to accept the blame for having committed and act with results in an accidental action. To say something is purely accidental is simply an unwillngness to accept responsibility for ones own action, or inaction. No wonder ACCIDENTAL is such a popular phrase, it allows someone to never accept responsibilty. It is always someone, or something elses fault. -
Come on over for dinner tonight. I have something for you. Answer your damned phone, geezer.
