And THAT IS MERELY YOUR OWN OPINION, not fact.

Prefer? I am sure she would have preferred that he be alive. If you take that into account, you must also consider that she was very proud of her son, and the fact he was a SEAL. She knew all along that this grown man made his choice, and served with distinction. She also probably knew he was the kind of brave young man who would do such a thing to save his team mates. Can we all now keep from turning this into some type of bush bashing festival? If you can't, please just say nothing at all.

It saved the lives of two of his team mates. It was not in vain, and will never be.

US Presidential Campaign Summed Up in a Picture
warpedskydiver replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
By the time the next POTUS is in office two years we will wish FDT was our president instead. He really should have run as a Liberatarian. The problem is with that is that many voters think the party is run by lunatics. But what is so different about that? -
US Presidential Campaign Summed Up in a Picture

The dems worst enemy has always been the one that lies within. -
We talked about this before, and I think we are both in agreement. I am pro hunting, and pro conservation. They should exist to work hand in hand. To me there is no honor in shooting an animal that is fenced in. But in some of the very large hunting reserves in africa, they are nearly as large, or larger than many of our national parks.
-
I agree on canned hunts, the ones in this country are serving no purpose whatsoever. Of course here we do not have the poaching problems of the African continent, and far more resources to protect game animals, and prosecute offenders. Black bears are very much at risk here due to the chinese population becoming more financially able to pay for poached bear gall bladder. The poachers should be punished the same way they killed the animal.

When our kids were in DARE, we told them to ask the instructor why, in the 1920's in our country, marijuana was legal and alcohol was not. I never heard back on that one, though. One of my 4 kids was in DARE. He is the only one to become a substance abuser. Empirical evidence, or just a statement regarding coincidence? This is not a slam against you.

and my grandmother but, thats far far from the point. And my Nana, who was kind to all people regardless of race, and then when she was in her late 70s one nice young man of about 28yrs old, and of black heritage snatched her purse and knocked her to the ground as she was getting off of the Senior Center bus. Her opinion changed slightly, for she knew right then how she was viewed by those like him. Somehow, I know in my heart that the guy who did it got punished.

How far can you take this argument? Could we breed humans to hunt specifically, if they never lived in the wild? Just a hypothetical question of course. In the sense of true fairness, why not? I hunt, I hunt for as many kinds of aninals as I can afford to travel for. That being said it does limit me to the midwest for now. I only hunt for meat, if a trophy buck happens along, so be it, if not, I could care less. I have two large 8 point racks in my garage on a shelf, one was shot with a rifle, the other was killed with a knife. If I had the money to travel and hunt so called trophy game I would, but there are animals I do not want to hunt. In hunting trophy animals, if the animal is being hunted through careful and meticulous conservation efforts I have no problem with it. What I have a problem with is poaching. The extent of what happened before the hunting lodge industry got going in Africa was just plain criminal, and inhumane. I loved knowing that there were out of work soldiers hunting the poachers down like the vermin they were. Unfortunately that prgram was terminated after it became known to the world, and their hand wringing media. The ivory trade, along with that of the rhino horn, and body parts of truly majestic beasts was a crime to be dealt with by deadly force. If hunting as we see it now can reverse decades of poaching and extinction, and re-populate the wild areas that are now being decimated yet by the poached meat markets, I am all for it. I hope some of you will take the opportunity to read and fully comprehend what I am saying, rather that immediately denouncing it as "rubbish"

I guess they will realize how you felt when they discover if they clean up the poo with a shovel, or their lips...

Happy birthday to you!

Nice to see paranoia alive and well you look after yuorself now Mr Bond Nice to see you would belittle my point of view, one that is shared by someone who was an NSA briefer for 23yrs. This is just one of the ways people get in trouble, if we do it, so do others. Now go back to putting your head in the sand. To make a case in point of my argument. If someone wants a few secrets about something such as a B-2, why go through all the trouble of having to use spies in order to obatin the information, when you can grab an aircrew member, or engineer? The same is true of many things that are closely guarded.

SURVIVAL training not sercret squirrel training Crazy huh? I guess anything that would reveal what the training entails, would not be of use to those who would hunt down, or capture and iterrogate those who have attended the school. Yeah, let's just tell our enemies everything. You may think it is nothing of consequence, but then again, it is not you who's ass is on the line. The same could be said for certain individuals or groups of individuals posting their pretty faces on the internet, and someday having those photos provide excellent intelligence on their actual ID. Go through an area somewhere with facial recognition software and then be identified, that can result in quite a few unfavorable actions. This may not be true for all individuals, but for some it can certainly come back to bite them. People in certain sensitive jobs, etc.
-
I am of the opinion that SERE should not be discussed, nor pictures taken or any other information ever provided outside of the training itself.
-
No matter what you must admit one simple fact. Going to SERE sure beats doing it "on the job"

Now we all know how they can "feel the pain of the downtrodden middle class, and poor" It must be a bitch to have to live so frugally. Yes I am envious, for most people to make that kind of money they would have to work extremely hard, provide a product people need, or be an innovator. But they get that kind of money for cutting deals and pandering to special interest groups. Their product? influence and graft.

Amen Brother! BTW hope you are well and all is good.
