  1. Israel is probably in violation of more UN resolutions than any other country. Should somebody do something about that too? Nope, Israel is one of the Good Guys...and a good buddy to have in the region. Look if left alone, Islam is doing more to kill itself off without any interferance from the outside world.
  2. Take 3 Deep cleansing Breaths...it will help calm you. "Racist"...and this coming from an AGITATOR...I'll repeat it backwards for ya WOW!!
  3. Every time he craps, its an OBAMA
  4. >"about 100 different Syrian rebel groups" That number is roughly 250, and most are not align in our favor. It is my understanding, many of these groups are fighting each other. We need to stay out and let this civil war play out. When it's over, and we don't like the winner, we can go in and kick their ass and take all their oil
  5. Because what he has put out there so far has been confirmed. The government isn't pissed that he told lies. They are pissed that he told the truth. It's like the IRS story coming out: it was believeable because the IRS admitted it before the story broke. It he was spreading lies and untruths, then there wouldn't be talk of charging him with violating the Espionage Act. Sen. Saxby Chambliss has said, "He's already exposed part of it and I guess he's going to expose the rest of it." Has Edward Snowden in fact taken and transferred Highly Classified documents to media sources or foreign nationals? Or has he simply expressed in an interview what the NSA / US Government and other agencies were doing in gathering personal information on private US citizens...much like they are doing now monitoring this very site and possibly monitoring my ever key stroke.
  6. ...."Sally Ride's partner is denied what she should receive." What, Sally was Gay?? Damn, and I even work with her. I now understand way the 5 year marriage to a fellow astronaut went belly up
  7. The practice of collecting data on all citizens, digital, phone conversations, electronic....has been going on for more than 20 years. The troubling issues...to the low information voter this doesn't even register within the gray matter floating between their ears. And as someone here likes to point out: "Nobody who is a moderate swing vote in an election year cares. And they're the ones who will decide the 2014 and 2016 elections" And yes, tragically I think I agree with that statement. I need to get off now, the NSA is monitoring every key stroke and I've used up my allotted time.
  8. Nobody who is a moderate swing vote in an election year cares. And they're the ones who will decide the 2014 and 2016 elections.
  9. Oh lookie, wee Andy has a new mantra.
  10. I'm not against it because he's black I just don't think many American families have the ability to pay the hugh premiums associated with the law.
  11. Sheriff Office Response "I’m not taking up for … mistakes that were made, but when you get a call from a facility like that, certain decisions have to be made within minutes and seconds,” Byrd said. “And the de-escalation comes afterwards.” Unfortunately, the sheriff’s department didn’t de-escalate the situation as much as it should have, he said. But he defended the decision to hold Robin Fleming overnight and charge him with breach of peace. He said the local FBI had told them to hold the pilot for questioning, something they couldn’t do without a charge. The breach of peace charge is minor, he said, used for anything out of the ordinary, especially something that causes a law enforcement response. Also, Fleming had said that his lawyer had told him outside the closed courtroom that the charges would be dropped if he agreed not to sue the department. Byrd denied that the prosecuting attorney made this suggestion. Byrd said the sheriff’s office followed procedure for responding to a security issue at the nuclear power plant, contacting local, state, and federal officials. He said the initial call had been that a small craft, a glider or drone, had been circling the plant and had passed within 100 feet of the dome. (Fleming’s flight recorder, which logged data every four seconds, placed him at 1,518 feet msl when it passed over the plant once before circling over the nearby lake; the highest charted obstacle in the area is 577 feet msl.) Byrd said the department hasn’t received similar calls from power plant security, except for once when a helicopter flew over the plant two days in a row; deputies saw that it was Progress Energy contractors doing survey work and security personnel hadn’t been notified, and they did not respond, he said. He said officers started to realize the glider wasn’t a threat once it was on the ground, and that they probably should have realized that fact earlier. He added that the handling of the situation was affected by “not being familiar with the operation of an aircraft like his, and not having dealt with a situation like this before, and quite frankly, the assumption by the plant, us, and the local and federal agencies that there was a restriction over the plant.”
  12. >“people who hold contradictory cognitions" Damn wonder I was able to stay awake long enough to get that far. Think I'll lay down and get a short nap. I often wonder you thinks like this...I guess these things are bouncing around within their gray matter.
  13. I wonder if eiter of the two have been given special treatment when going through security screen. Maybe an extra pat down?
  14. Well hopefully your Mooney wasn't one of the dozens of GA aircraft that got stranded.
  15. Yep, that has been covered extensively as well. Clearly pilots fit the profile. Damn...were have I been living, UNDER A TREE? Well I guess I spend way to much time hanging out at the hanger to know these things.
  16. My wife and I were involved in a relocation project roughly 5 years ago. Worked out well, we love the new home, great community, schools and such...just no snow for the last 3 years
  17. >"reported in the aviation press and aviation forums." Then there is Robin Fleming and avid glider pilot who was almost shot down due to entering a make Believe NO FLY ZONE. "January 15, 2013" He was charged for Breach of Peace, handcuff and had a total of 17 police vehicals respond with one officer requesting promission to shot down the pilot. DHS and the FBI got envolved with the Pilot held in custody for more than 24 hours. Only after agreeing not to sue, he was released with no charges...however his finger prints, mug shot and a complete profile still remains in the hands of DHS/FBI. Excellent story is located on You Tube.
  18. Finally, maybe we will get some snow in League City Texas this year for Christmas...it would be nice to see.
  19. Poor guy got everthing but a rectum exam.
  20. http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/05/annals-of-the-security-state-more-airplane-stories/276018/ No Clicky to the above referenced story, "will explore the process in purforming that next time...but for those of us that like to fly it is somewhat Scary in how you might be detained by Home Land Security when flying legally in our airspace simply because you meet a Certain Profile. Don't know any others here that are pilots other than John Kallend that might find the enclosed story interesting. But image dropping your case that holds your glasses on the ramp next to your airplane. Realizing you lost them, you return to look for them only to be surrounded by Police, totaling roughly 19, SWAT, A King Air 200 swooping in with DEA, and a DHLS Cessna Citation circling over head. Now imagine you are being looked at as being a criminal until you prove otherwise.
  21. I'll give him 8 out of 10 chance of being successful. After all, its New York...people there like his kind of politics.
  22. Well, what about us who did it but got a BS?????? JerryBaumchen
  23. I completely agree. Among other things, they're flexible enough to respond to local market conditions, and add courses faster than some other institutions (and delete them when their appeal has waned). In Texas, they're dirt cheap. If you go to a CC, you're not doing yourself any favors if your long-term goal is to go to Harvard or someplace like that. But if your long-term goal is to get a BA, it's a great and cost-effective way to start. Never mind that they also offer all kinds of tech-school stuff, including nursing, fixin' stuff, etc. Wendy P. Would agree. My oldest got her BS at University of Houston and works with my sister, her Aunt in the insurance business. My middle child went to a trade school i.e. the Harvard of Hair...Paul Mitchell to be a hair stylist. She works at a well know Salon on FM518 in Friendsword and pulled down 45K last year. Not bad money for a 23. year old.
  24. Wendy, give me a name girl, just give me a name...I stand up for you. Those bastards, they sound like a bunch of Pharisee's.
  25. Hey man, you're the best!! Someone once asked me what type of ladies man was I? A Breast Man, Legs Man, or an Ass Man...well I figure I'm and Ass Man, because everyone is always telling me..."Your and Ass, Man...Your an ASS" So I guess SC has help me to notice on occassion when I'm being an ASS...and on those days I don't see it, your always there to point it OUT.
