    unfortunately both sides have been pandering to the special interest groups because that is who is going to pay for campaigns. the problem is that mainstream america is left out in the cold wondering what the fuck to do. our representatives in washington have turned this into a battle between two side completely forgetting (or not caring) that they are supposed to be on the same team. our senators for the most part vote for their party and against the opposition instead of doing what is right. i think we should celebrate the one republican and five democrats who voted against party lines today. that said, it will swing the other way eventually. this is a good thing though, i wouldn't want the left or the right to keep all the power for too long. maybe this is a good thing though. the people may get fed up enough with both parties and vote in a third party.     i can't help but to fart constantly when i'm on the treadmill. it sucks, but there's nothing i can do about it. letting a big one rip while at a pulic urinal is great because the acoustics in public rest rooms are amazing. it also helps me get over my stagefright.     i had a teacher in junior high who's name was mr. hooker. rumor was that his wife's name was ima. it most likely wasn't true, but one day in class he was talking about her. i asked what her name was, and he got really pissed. he could have squashed the rumor right then and there but he never did tell us her name.     right now i'm doing 3 parts souza white tequila, 2 parts cointreau or tripple sec, one part fresh squeezed lime juice. i bought a bottle of cointreau and a bottle of tripple sec to compare the two. cointreau is significantly more expensive than triple sec, and in this mixture is clearly the the right choice, but some recipes call for mor ingredients and different ratios, which could alter the results. i have also read different theories about white tequila verses gold tequila. i should have bought some gold. i will not make the same mistake next time. another problem is that the limes aren't the best this time of year. i'd rather not use bottled lime juice, but if someone knows of a brand that is very good, i'll try it.     in preparation for cinco de mayo, i'm trying to perfect my margaritas. i've already tried a few combinations and ratios, but haven't quite hit on it yet. it could just be that the limes are shitty this time of year, but as a true athlete, i'm pushing on in the face of adversity. if you have a recipe, post it here. when this thread dies, i'll print all the recipes and try them at the next practice session and let you know what my team decides.     Seahawks by a touchdown. i'm leaning toward seahawks by ten. i think that the steelers will do there best to shut down #37 so it will be more of a passing game for seattle. the problem for pitt is that seattle has already shown that its not a one trick pony. i still can't believe that seattle is the underdog.     unfortunately sometimes shitty things happen to good people. i think that there are plenty of 15 year olds that have taken mom and dad's car somewhere before. at 15, you just don't understand the consequences of some of your actions. this is the worst case scenerio.     this is truly tragic. i think about how much of my life is taken up caring for my two children. imagine how much of your life would be taken up by 7 children. coming home and finding that all 7 of your children have been killed would leave a person an empty shell. 15 year olds are usually capable of babysitting, but the are also capable of doing stupid shit. i don't think that any reprimand will do anything to the parents. they've already been dealt the worst punishment possible.     i agree with you that things aren't adding up, but can we err on the side of caution though until we know more? at this point i can only assume that we have gotten a lot of bad info. so much so that the only thing we really know is that a man is missing and his family is going through hell right now. while you are certainly free to express your opinion, if you are wrong in your assessment then you may be pooring salt on a wound. if you are right, then it will come out and it may be better discussed then.
