Just to clarify something here. Whilst Scott has seen the "old Phi" he has not touched or even seen the brand new Phantom in person. Both he and Chuck are pointing out "cosmetic" similarities between an old design and a photo of a new design. The Phantom is 100% a new suit, no templates / components are the same. The thing they DO have in common is a certain wingsuit designer from Croatia. Further more, the old Phi was designed for a different purpose; to be an acrobatic suit. The Phantom is designed to be an all rounder for flockers, solo flyers etc offering (as you rightly put Scott) a very wide performance range. J BASEstore.it

It is hard to see when it is A. not inflated B. from a straight back view I will post some in flight pics soon... J BASEstore.it

weird stuff - arm cables coming out in flight?
unclecharlie95 replied to The111's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Hmmm, would put $$ it happens during deployment. Are you sure you didn't change the "missing tab" or some thing... J Ps. like the beard I have a razor you can borrow... BASEstore.it -
Yes Kris, the leg inlets are an evolved version of the ones used on the pants and Prodigy. The arm inlets are a completely new design. J BASEstore.it

Hi Chuck, The air inlets are in fact the black areas on the thigh. Although there are some "familiar" lines, I can assure you this suit has very very little in common with the old Phi prototype. Incidently the problem on the "old" phi was not that the inlets were too high, it was due to the fact that the inlets were too far round behind the body. The leg inlets on the Phantom have been tested and provide excellent pressurization regardless of leg position. Long flights, J BASEstore.it

Here is a sneak preview of the new Phoenix Fly suit: The Phantom A few details: - The Phantom is an intermediate wingsuit, flying between the Prodigy and Vampire V-1 in the Phoenix Fly product range. - It was designed with flockers and progressing pilots in mind. - Revolutionary air inlets based on jet aircraft in-takes that allow fast and solid pressurization whilst keeping drag to minimum. - Large back deflector reduces drag and increases lift. Full information on all the Phantom's features will be released mid July... Long flights, J BASEstore.it

Thanks to the Atlanta crew for the sweet jumps and good times at the Italian terminal wall this past weekend. You guys re-wrote my US BASEr stereotype - damn you hike fast! Thanks for introducing me to that Jose Sanchez guy and for generally polluting my tiny pure mind Long flights, J BASEstore.it

>Who has flown Prodigy side-by-side with other wingsuits? Yes. With V1, Access, S-Fly Expert, Matter 2, GTi, Classic, S1 and S3 >Does Prodigy play well with other wingsuits? Very well, we were doing 20 way flock dives >How does Prodigy fall-rate compare with other suits? >How does Prodigy forward speed compare with other suits? >How does Prodigy glide ratio compare with other wingsuits? Performance is always pilot dependent, from my own experience and observations of other people who have flown the suit I would say the Prodigy's performance is very similar to other intermediate suits on the market. Hope this helps, long flights J BASEstore.it

That may actually be #14 AG ? BASEstore.it

Jason, I can testify that S3S does exist! I saw the one from the photo in Norway with Jussi, but he was not jumping it(?). For the Phi you'd better ask Scott nicely I have a nice wig you can borrow if you want Scott

you forgot jet lagged and no clean underwear due to lost luggage... (but it was okay, rob J bought me some disposable female razors and a wonder woman tooth brush) The suit is the original prodigy prototype. Photo taken by Kathy from Morpheus if I remember correctly. BASEstore.it -
The Prodigy is very similar to the GTi in terms of performance, more than the Classic thanks to the large back deflector. (usual disclaimer applies to the importance of the bod in the suit) BASEstore.it

To be honest we didn't measure our flight performance during the boogie. We focused on aerial exits and formation flying

In a word, no. Go somewhere higher like the Italian Terminal wall. Read "Advice for starting wingsuit BASE" in the safety section of this site. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/safety/detail_page.cgi?ID=506 long flights J BASEstore.it

Hey Matt, talk to Perry, he is the go slow master Pull everything open, and push all that surface area down hard against the relative wind and keep it there
