I'm just kidding ya Jaap! It was a pleasure to meet you also. I learnt a few things about "outgaying" I was impressed by your snowboard BASE and that diving board jump - the highest pull aerial stowed jump of the event!!

Thank you to Jason, Jennifer & Malory Bell, Bill Bird and all the BD team for organizing an excellent event. Weather was great on Saturday although the wind in the late afternoon got interesting Highlight for me was meeting so many great people; Mike and Ryan (El cap 1 & 2), Jean Boenish, Nick DG and many many others

nidez is another Marco, not Mucho BASE Marco He is tainted by knowing me all the same BASEstore.it -
I think I remember that episode (sad, I know) They had some stock footage of a plane flying, a close up of the fuselage showing the open door and A-team jumping out one by one (plane obviously on the ground but with blue sky behind, rigs looked pretty dodgy). Then more stock footage of rounds in the air. Followed by close ups of the team "hanging" in the harness

Robi asked me to post the reply: The advanced suits like V1 have grippers to extend the surface and ( w proper use) increase efficiency of the WS. On V1 the ''sticks'' are long and also extend the span of the WS. During the flight the grippers must be in the hands and under proper tension. To define what is the proper tension is hard to say, because it depends on each individual body distribution and flying skill. BASEstore.it -

Robert Pecnik, Scott Bland, Perry Trowbridge and myself have written a document about "Performance Flying". If you are interested in some tips to increase your flight performance in terms of distance or freefall delay go check it out. http://www.phoenix-fly.com/articles.htm > Performance Flying Long flights, James BASEstore.it -
Bingo! Full marks. Comfort is a free added bonus BASEstore.it

Is that base as in base or as in BASE ?? Both a cradle undercarriage (like the early German jets) and a cliff launch would be very very risky due to the high stall speed. BASEstore.it

Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself

Hi Jussi, no, unfortunately I didn't have time, but I have looked at one next to a GTi. J BASEstore.it

Suit comparisons are always "pilot dependent". From my own experience the Phantom has a better glide ratio and slower fall rate than the GTi/Firebird. In fact I am getting performance similar to my S3. (Ask Costyn what happened when he was base in the Phantom . The 1.5 Z-flockers were also impressed) The Phantom is an all round suit, easy to fly, less tiring and less sensitive to body position, thanks to the new inlet design and large back deflector. If back flying and acrobatics are your thing check out the Acro. Other things that you may want to consider when choosing your suit: Construction and material quality, look and feel of the suit, feel in flight, 2nd hand value etc. Like Jarno said, try before you buy and see what flies best for you. The Phantom has a very wide leg stance to enhance stability and performance. It also allows you to get a good kick going in the case of line twists and even take long strides for landing your canopy / walking to the plane. So a cut away system is not necessary. Nice work guys!!

I know the guy who made the ad but I'm sure he didn't make the suit. Infact I asked who designed the Phi a few times on this forum and never got a response to that question either? But your right I'll email one of the 2 Js. BASEstore.it

Anybody else? (Can't wait for the description Tonto

sweet, nice CS BASEstore.it

Interesting, what makes you say Balloon ZP is "flimsy"? What is the performance advantage (other than resistance to damage from bad landings) of a heavier material? (In the other Phi thread there was one guy who had had some durability problems.) BASEstore.it

Damn those Mechanical Engineers!! Wait a minute what did I study again....? DOH! At least you are still the L.O.T.S. BASEstore.it

Hey Tonto, just curious, now that you have flown your Phi can you explain what the "Dynamic wing technology" is? (no this is not flame bait, I am genuinely curious) Thanks J BASEstore.it

What is the fastest wingsuit available at the moment?
unclecharlie95 replied to Trae's topic in Wing Suit Flying
It is worth noting, Yuri flew the S3 like nobody else could Most pilots saw a big increase in performance right from their first flight on the V-1. Like Yuri said on those long flights (90sec +) you get tired and the performance drops off towards the end. My peak GR measured with GPS was 2.7, but it is the average GR that counts. Still training and learning. BASEstore.it -
