but it sounds so much like some folks i know...
-
out of all that, this is the one that i am refuting, because this is the point i was trying, very unsuccessfully i might add, to make. no, everybody does not know that. anyone who can argue over the difference between a 1.3% and a 1.9% fatality is not using the word estimate correctly. i am not going to go find it, i saw it last month, and i believe it was in one of these very threads, i read way too much to find anything after that long. not only can i, i am saying it. the same way i can say for sure that there was one incident of mishandled secret documents, that it was reported, and that i was blamed for it when i found them and did all the right things by handling them properly until i shredded them in the proper location. the last administration broke so many rules it wasn't funny, and they were mostly so inept it left trails of evidence. now, i'm not in any position to be involved with any of that, and if i were, i damned sure wouldn't be saying anything about it here. what i am saying is that i have been on the inside of some government type things that were not as they appeared from the outside, and i wasn't even an operator, just listened when they talked, and trained with them in preparation of getting tabbed. i've still got a few folks i can talk to about certain things, but am not gonna over this. i could well be wrong and it could really be that they are just so inept it looks like it was done on purpose. the more things that come out, the more it appears this is not the case however.

the point is that i found a page full of links in a three second search supporting that the numbers have been doctored, meaning they are not reported accurately. a thorough search would most likely reveal that to be true, but i have given it enough of my time. i recall seeing numbers last year that were very much not in line with the reported deaths, and that it even made a few news stories, but was eclipsed by trump's antics, almost as if he planned it (he's not that smart but there are others who are near him who may be). i also recall the cdc changing their recommendations due to political pressure. all sorts of things have come to light about how badly they were falsifying the information, and i am not going to try to regurgitate them here. i don't much care if you believe it or not, so if you want a source, look it up because i have filed the information away last year in my head. let me clarify the point, just in case it was not obvious. the previous administration did a pretty good job of falsifying any information regarding covid, so none of that information can be trusted without verifying the accuracy of it independently, and that is done after the fact as with comparing normal death rates and the ones we see now. even then, you can't say for sure the new instances were all covid, as some were due to not being able to get treated for other things due to limited hospital availability and others were due to co-morbidity. i am not arguing that the data you use is not accurate, just that there is no way to independently verify it and it should be treated as an estimate, yet it is being treated as absolute truth. it can be as accurate as any other, and could even be spot on, but there is no way to make that call yet. it is most likely the closest thing we will ever have.

that is the current plan, or was until my son lost his mother last fall. former special forces support, not tabbed, as that seems to be a big deal. if i could find a place that would keep a standard bred horse and a jerusalem donkey together, i would be gone in a few months. it is a good example of propaganda, and it works. it's the only way they can get otherwise normal folks to vote for things that are not in their best interest. it's also what happens when you leave all regulation to the corporations. when folks put profit above everything, you get a state a lot like wv. nothing but extraction here, and it's been like that for decades, centuries in all but the name. predatory politicians, corporate shills in the regulatory bodies, hell, the damned governor switched parties less than a month after getting elected. wv politics is about to get worse since they have a super majority in our state legislature. they already started ramming bills through that have been stopped by various people in the past. you guys can sit here and argue how things are elsewhere, or how they should or should not work, but i can guarantee you that it is nothing but greed driving wv politics. it sucks balls that i am at least the 7th generation from this state, and have grandbabies here, and the only choice to having anything worth having is leaving. yeah, i may be cynical, and i may have caused some of these issues myself, but that does not change the facts. the facts are that we have almost no politicians which are not dirty, and in the pockets of the extraction industry. they aren't even trying to hide it any more.

it's actually worse than that, it's propaganda. they took the fear and insecurity of their base, then fed them lies that fit their agenda until they believed it. they started them thinking like that. most of these dumbasses i am forced to hang out with, and actually agree on most things that we want. it pains me to see how badly they were being used, and still are. using fud effectively: fear, uncertainty, doubt.

https://www.newsweek.com/florida-stops-medical-examiners-releasing-coronavirus-death-data-report-1501090 it was all over the news just a few months ago, surprised you didn't read any of it. it seems like it is being hidden now due to incorrect search terms or it may have not actually happened, but i recall very heated discussions over the fact (at the time) that trump et al stopped counting positive covid cases, and did everything imaginable to stop testing. as you may or may not know, the death rate for covid was supposedly around 1.6%, but without having a valid bottom number of overall infected, or a valid top number of the actual deaths, the ratio that results is incorrect. i think i stated that we could only tell later, when looking at the numbers, how many actually died, most likely paraphrased though. hell, i'm sure you could go back and look at some of these threads and find whatever you want, i am working on other things though.

so, is this account for real or another russian troll? sounds like way too much for even a script.

i'd love to jump it, but damn, it is pretty old, even for me. not the round, afraid of that acid mesh shit. i did have an old 24' conical though, if i still had it i would jump it just for the hell of it, not at my dz though. that canopy is pretty, i would pay you like 20 or 30 for, but only for decoration. unless it is airworthy...maybe one jump. i think i can put a belly reserve on my rig, just in case.

he sounds like a bot to me.

what data? without knowing with 100% accuracy how many people have had covid, the data is an estimate. some estimates are closer than others, yet none of it is 100% accurate. people claiming with absolute certainty just what happened or is happening while just taking these numbers, most of which have been knowingly doctored, as fact. after it's all over, we may be able to extrapolate how many died of it, yet will never know for certain, other than it was pretty bad.

damn, this would be fun if i weren't in a hurry. i kind of miss that odd debate, now that i seem to have made my timeline a little nicer when i blocked someone. i do have a hard time swallowing that anyone can actually believe the crap that is spewing forth here, in the comment just above this one.

none of the numbers are real any more and haven't been since they started slowing down and stopping the testing months ago. no way to tell anything yet with the way the last admin screwed the pooch.

typical response from a republican. pick a topic, then complain about something irrelevant to said topic. man, you guys are just too predictable. i would say it's funny, but nobody's laughing any more. it's just plain stupid now.

it seems every dz has a facebook group, and another for experienced skydivers. there are a lot of them for buying and selling gear. it sucks balls because facebook is evil.

i wish it were reddit. it's facebook.

because you and i and everyone else knows that clinton could get impeached for a bj, but he inciting an insurrection is ok. apparently the private lives of elected officials is fair game, yet the public comments are off limits.
-
you have one thing right, they can't have it both ways. unity starts when we make sure this insurrection does not go unpunished, if nothing else than to set a precedent for the next gop wanna-be dictator. next time they may be smart enough to pull it off.

the media is more culpable than they like to admit.

do you recall when the d went to 500 jumps and when the ti rating came out? -
unless the utilities decide to ask for an increase in price due to "infrastructure upgrades" that never happen, then the customers pay the fines. happens all the time, at least in wv. as for the part about ng lines exploding, one took out a chunk of 1-77 and almost got me one time. had i not stopped for lunch i would have been driving right by when it went up. don't get me started on how many times i heard folks talking about things that shouldn't have gotten past inspectors yet did. i may need to get called back to this contract.

i fart in your general direction...

you left out that part of the equation that said blue is green now and up is down. take into account the fact that the earth is rotating slightly to the left of what it was almost 150k years ago and it makes perfect sense, on a full moon evening anyway.

if you are referring to the last several posts between two individuals, it was not a debate to start with. it was an argument, and i know, i am involved in a lot of those. it was also wrong, since the one knew nothing about the other beside area lived in. i find diverse places in wv where there are mainly white folks.
