just in case you're not trolling: multiple states have passed laws outlawing abortions, clearly unconstitutional. the only thing they are meant to do, besides control women based on several religious concepts (the part i was referring to), is meant to give the stacked scotus a chance to repeal wade v roe, something some of them have admitted to being open to if i recall correctly. that mingling of the church controlling us using the state. if you can't see how that is the case...(at a loss for words)

in some cases like the whole of congress. like when we say we want sensible gun control to stop the killing and congress bows down to the nra. the ones who have the balls to actually stand up to them are too busy infighting and trying to ban everything are the worst. time to dissolve the nra for the corruption and start looking at the root cause of the issue, not just say mental health caused it and skip anything valuable. yes, the us has been a banana republic for a while now.

if the beliefs being presented here are true, then it is a great example of how effective propaganda is. everything based on just enough truth to sound right to the targets. too bad smart folks fall for it along with the idiots. i have two holes in my tongue from biting it yesterday while listening to how biden is almost ready for a nursing home and hired a woman who bombed the senate as his cabinet. i think they saw the blood dripping while i was trying to ignore them. two very smart folks whom i continue to respect, but pity for falling for the lies.

another one stolen by catholicism and bastardized so as to bring converts over. ever heard of samhain? that's where it began.

so you're ok with us making sure that christianity is the one religion of the us, noted. maybe i should have said satanist rather than muslim, as i interpret their allah as not god, or else we would say "in allah we trust". thanx for clarifying that @billvon. i knew i would find something i agreed with you on though, and i do agree that we should not insult one's culture. the way you are raised is something outside of your control to, your religion is not. if you think we were nowhere near that premise, you must be smoking something that is affecting short term memory. last time i checked, there are many states trying to use THEIR religious views to decimate the rights of women, not to mention what they are trying to do with trans folks. do you think they are not worthy of having THEIR beliefs respected? how about we just do like the founders intended and COMPLETELY separate the church from the state. unless you think it's ok to control people through religion.
-
so, you think that by our "great" nation putting "in god we trust" on money in no way puts christianity in a position of dominance over islam (or any religion that does not worship god), thus violating the 1st amendment? nice to know that you can pick and choose which part of the constitution you feel we have to follow. and neither do i on days i have field work, which is why i missed most of the bullshit antics trying to reverse the meaning of the 1st amendment.
-
i'm still waiting to hear the response to the separation of the church from the state that is desperately needed in this country. or is that part of the constitution not valid @BIGUN?
-
are you implying that lich jesus is immune to parody? that's right up there with no pictures drawn of the prophet. i respect none of them and i have that right, at least until the gop locks that down. they're just as bad as the muslim extremists who want sharia law. time to truly separate the church from this state. take out the "under god" from the pledge, take the "in god we trust" off the money, etc. so in this case, i define it as not at all deserved, so not given at all.

How to encourage tax cheating by the very wealthy
sfzombie13 replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
there most certainly is evidence of the changes of the '80s, that's when reagan deregulated almost everything. also the first puppet president of the gop. it is very well documented that the decade began the upward spiral of ceo pay, and the beginnings of the wall street fiasco that culminated in one of the bubbles that burst when it was unsustainable, the dotcom crash if i recall. until that point in history, the 20th century had fairly stable lines of income for all classes in charts that i have seen, then it flattens out for workers. just so you don't think i'm making it up, look at this link. also, i just read an article on reddit that showed how they taught african parrots to use tokens to buy their food. when they did, they found that the birds with all the tokens shared them with those who had none so that they all got to eat. on the science sub if you want to look it up. blows out the theory you have about animals and food greed. it all depends on how the tests are conducted. -
as much as i hate to admit it, the stupid fuck has a point. it isn't completely racism driving the bus, it's suppression of democrats. that just happens to coincide with black folks in ga to some extent(i haven't looked at any records so can't say how much). it is extremely close to a jim crow law, but it also includes others. it's also nothing compared to how badly the gop is gutting wv now that they have a super majority.

How to encourage tax cheating by the very wealthy
sfzombie13 replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
i heard that japan had a system like that years ago, where the highest paid workers got 17x the lowest paid ones. it was the best and most fair system i had ever heard about, and there is no downside to it. no way they would automate everyone lower out of a job; if that were possible, it would already be done. the only way to get more money when at the top is to give everyone more money. take profits out of the equation altogether; those go to stockholders, employees get their compensation. had it not been for the greed surge and excess at the beginning of the 80's, we may have been able to achieve that. it will never happen now. -
some riggers choose not to mess with gear over 20 years old, or older than they are in some cases. maybe that was what was going on. my hear is almost as old as one of our riggers, but we have an old fart rigger who has been doing it for decades.

not a zombie, a lich.

and i thought the trolls were bad a few months ago. i have trouble believing anyone can believe any of this shit. maybe that's why i have a hard time understanding what is going on with the gop. pathetic traitors for the most part. just plain crazy for the rest. racism is an insidious motivator.
-
now do the crime rates for homicide.
-
no, but when talking about racism in the military, it helps to have some first hand knowledge of it. if not, you're listening to all second hand accounts from someone else whose motives and agenda may not be the same as purported.

first of all, until anyone cares to look, it isn't a mental health problem, it's a glorification of violence problem amplified by the media. like it or not (and i very much don't), the media control how we as a population think. there are individual variances of course, but by and large, it is a pattern. that pattern is currently geared toward glorification of violence. i think it may have something to do with needing cannon fodder for the forever wars we seem to need to ensure cheap energy.

so, the natural response to having both of these bullshit threads closed would be to hop on another thread and continue the debate, no? wtaf is going on here? or am i missing something? i do that sometimes...

when i arrived on the post for my first assignment in germany, one of the guys with me was drunk as hell when we got in the first night. he tripped up the stairs and broke his back in three places. he healed up and went to desert storm with us, but it is a very real thing, although i agree it is rare. this one with biden was just funny, although i recall laughing our asses off at him at the time. even made fun of him when he went on sick call the next day.

i love the brilliant pebble i have. cheap as hell and reliable. i think it has up to 20 alarms and 10 different tones to set. you can set it to chirp on the way up so you can check the preset altitudes with your wrist altimeter and to make sure it's working. not bad for $100, and the customer service is awesome. i had one that had a charging problem, worked just fine but came on when you plug the cord in. i mentioned it to the guy at aon2 while discussing something else and they said it was a bad batch and sent a new one, no charge, and they said i could keep the old one. i like playing with electronics.

i recall a similar sentiment around the y2k bug. all the hype and nothing. hell, i went to bed at 11 that year because i knew nothing would happen because too many people put in way too many hours making sure of it. same thing with i t security, when it works well, you don't know it's there until you get the bill. then you dispute the bill because nothing happened. then i leave, you get breached, and i charge 10 times the amount to clean up the mess that i could have prevented cheaply. damn, that went a bit long, sorry.
-
or it the law which i seem to recall about waiting limits would have been applied, or not so easily circumvented at the very least.

i heard that mostly the gop has won in their respective states and are setting up the new districts, so let the silly lines commence. i know in wv they are gutting the shit out of everything we got in the last decades through hard work and with much blood spilled. they made it illegal officially for the teachers to strike since they did so well last time and eliminated the water protection laws, or what was left of them after they gutted them last time. 300k had no water for months and hundreds dies, i had a friend who miscarried. the gop are evil, all of them, no exceptions as a party. fuck every last one of them, at least in wv. god it sucks so bad living here, where all of my family is. if i could go, i'd e gone in a heartbeat.

that was one of the accusations i read, he made her wear high heels. too politically convenient for me to believe much of it. they need to chill the hell out and have an investigation.

House blocks deportation of US military veterans
sfzombie13 replied to billvon's topic in Speakers Corner
i had to read it twice to see how you got that from what i wrote. the second part of your observation, the part about it not being clear while they are in is the part you have wrong, the rest is right. it is very clear when you are in that after one year of service, you apply for and get a green card, with the fees waived. i knew many immigrants who did so, and it was something they usually used a calendar for. it was crystal clear to them when they were in. lots of things are left behind after we get out though. there is the real betrayal.
