  1. nice having stuff made to fit... Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  2. My freefly coach, my canopy coach and my rigger are on the list. And big Dave was on my first 4 way freefly formation Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

  4. I'd like a DZ and tunnel about 64.5 miles closer to my house...with unrestricted beach landing priveledges. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  5. You can find heated undergarmets and heated gloves. You can also put little thermal bags in your gloves. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  6. Thanks Bill. I have something kind of in the works now...I'll have to see how it pans out. And I did a little reading on Nova's...thanks for holding out on me Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  7. You must not know any surfers, or skaters...there are quite a few more surfing movies sold a year than skydiving, probably 100000 to 1. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  8. I just learned how to really track last week...after 200 skydives. I would go on tracking dives and have like 95 mph fall rates, but had a hard time ever getting forward drive. Everyone would tell me afterwards I just needed practice. Practice what? Curt Swanson, the freefly LO manager at Perris, gave me a 5 minute dirt dive/lesson the other day. Tuck my chin, look down my torso, bend slightly at the waist. Holy mackerel! All of the sudden I was moving out...It was the single largest skill improvement I've ever had from one jump to the next. If you are into horizontal to earth, belly down RW and want to do some tunnel time, check out Meeker Mondays. Chrisitie Frikken puts it on. Cheaper pricing and good free coaching. If you search on here you can probably find something, or ask at Perris next time you are out. Have manifest page her or something...Might be an advertisment on the bulletin board in front of Square1...maybe something on the Perris website. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  9. My Safire2 is 8-10 weeks from delivery. I can get canopies through Square1 @ Perris, but that doesn't do me any good if I want to go to Otay or Elsinore. Plus, I've missed loads before because the gear store doesn't open till 9, but loads start going at 7 or 8 some days. Getting a demo through Icarus is only good for 1 or 2 weekends...I don't really feel like repeating that process 5-10 times. My thoughts are that someone has a canopy that is not being used...maybe they are a seasonal jumper, or taking time away from the sport, or just a gear head with extra stuff sitting around...that wouldn't mind parting with it for a couple of months for a fee. I can provide references in the form of AFF-I's or a S&TA that can verify my abilities as well as character. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

    Matter Sale

Well, here is my update. I placed my order late on a Friday night. After I placed the order, I realized I gave Matter the wrong size, so I emailed Cedric a correction. I also wanted a t-shirt, but couldn't figure out how to add it to Matter's shopping cart, so I sent Cedric another email. When I returned to the office the following Monday, Cedric had already emailed me with an updated order summary. He also informed me they were out of the color black in the Original Freefly Pants, so he upgraded my order to a pair of Kombat Freefly pants at no extra charge. I received my order from Spain to SoCal 14 days from when it was placed. Everything was correct. The pants fit great and are very well made. I really only have positive things to say about the whole experience... Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  11. Cool, I'll probably be there then. Do you have to make reservations in advance, or just show up? Do you check the PM's on here? Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

  14. I have a quick question for anyone. Are the intructions for all PD reserves the same, or would this mean having the manual for each specific size? Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  15. When is the next freefly skills camp at Elsinore? Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  16. I bet more US workers are on speed, crack, heroin, prozac, valium, oxycontin etc than Honduran workers... In the US sewing/garment industry, I would actually bet there are a very high percentage of first generation Central/South American workers at those sewing machines as well. 17. They have the leather look on a demo rig at Perris. It has held up reasonably well, but looks like crap IMHO. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

  19. When you land and it wants to kite, grab the front risers and dive it into the ground. It will be windy at Perris almost every day after 1 PM...especially in the summer when it's hot. That's when the dust devils come out and say hello as well. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

  22. I don't talk about BASE to whuffos and most skydivers because I'm sick of hearing about my "Death Wish". I hate this one, since it's all about experiencing life to me. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  23. Funny, I thought that one was the number one reason for wearing a helmet as well. In my quest for BASE armor, I have seen some mountain bike helmets that look like they would be up to the parachuting environment...ie Full face protection, CE impact ratings, lack of snag points. Paragliding helmets are another option. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  24. PD has reserve canopies set up for demos (bridle attachment point added). I've had two hop and pops with PD176R's and two with PD160R's. If and when I ever do have to chop one, you can be rest assured it won't be my first time flying or landing that canopy. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  25. I dropped a toggle once mid flare on a 169 @ a 1.1 / 1 WL...maybe 8 feet high?!? Obviously comes as no surprise to most of you, but I personally was absolutely amazed how that canopy picked up speed/dove in only that short amount of distance. I would have gone to my reserve because I'd be too apprehensive of that knot freeing itself. But hey, maybe with a couple thousand more jumps I'd give you a different answer.
