  5. What about guns? Are guns included as well? All this rock talk with no guns is like a strip club where they leave the bottoms on....BORING!!! Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  6. Doesn't make any difference. For starters, the air runs across the rig in opposite directions between head-up and head-down flying. Secondly, air only is most likely to get underneath the flap and lift it out when you're on your side (i.e. during a transition). Most likely, it will come undone if it snags on anything. Security is key, not the orientation. My freefly coach John Chisholm wrote that reply under my name. You can debate whatever you want with him: jchisholm AT freeflymegacenter.com He is sponsored by RWS...go figure. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  7. Relative Workshops v-3 has all you can ask for, superior riser protection, a main flap that closes from the bottom up, and tight pilot chute storage. There are a couple manufacturers that offer these, but everyone uses RWS ideas. From the three ring release, to other copied ideas, you can rest assured that a purchase from RWS would be the right choice! Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

Is this a joke? My friend Dale is from Mississippi, and I believe he's lurking around some reddish hued cliffs at the moment... Last time I checked he wasn't quite up to death camping people, but... If this is who you are looking for, PM me and I'll send you his cell phone number. 13. Whether or not Oakley skydives, those vests are ugly as hell. They look like tactical operator vests, minus armor plating and mag pouches. And who the hell wears a tac op vest to the mall? Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

  16. I actually got the idea after reading posts on here a while ago. People posted that they have applied for BASE permits in National Parks, but that they have been ignored or denied. So I thought why not have an ACLU attorney apply for a group permit? The NPS would 1. Have to respond. 2. Either say yes or no, and if no, they'd have to give some kind of reason for their denial. And maybe this denial would provide a spark for the ACLU to take interest in the issue. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  17. I can't even believe I am thinking about it, but... Has anyone ever sent the ACLU a packet on BASE and the NPS and asked them for a response? Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

  21. How exactly is raising prices going to help customer service from dealers? I've seen people working in gear shops that have 0 skydives, 50 skydives, 500 skydives and thousands of skydives. Gear shop customers have 0 skydives, 50 skydives and thousands of skydives. Hypothetically, If I have 2000 jumps and want to buy a new Velo, besides paying a higher price and having to go through more hassles to even figure out what that higher price is, how will PD's new structuring benefit me? Are gear dealers supposed to be taking on the role of instructor? Is everyone working in a store qualified to take on this role? Is PD going to offer/require a training program or AFF rating for gear store employees to truely insure that everyone paying more for their canopies is going to become a better skydiver? I have no problem with PD increasing their prices, but the press release they issued on the front page of DZ.com was a load of crap....IMO. And if PD reserves went up 19% and Aerodyne doesn't increase their prices dramatically, I will be putting a Smart in my new kit. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  22. After people finish chit chatting on the phone, the consumer is still going to search around for the low ball price...I don't see how this is going to change. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  23. This cracks me up. Are they really purporting that raising their prices is going to make someone a better skydiver? How is raising their prices going to make sure someone gets the right canopy for their skill level? Material costs and production costs have risen, so their finished product price has risen...they should have left it at that. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
  24. Thanks...they actually had the MarPat pattern in 725 Cordura, but they are sold out. I guess I'm going to have to settle for CadPat. I cannot find the Marpat pattern with the embedded eagle, globe and anchor by the yard anywhere. I have searched websites for special forces stuff, combat gear makers, paintball forums etc, anywhere I could think of people looking for it. It is like the worlds most sacred fabric. Number 100 . . .

Not everyone on "the list" has a BASE number, so your data is kinda screwy. You need to take only those with BASE numbers on the list and compare them to the current BASE number. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
