Seems like after the fire/ems merger(hostile takeover).Nobody wanted to trade with anybody from there anymore. DOn't know why.The morale of the dept only got low enough for the chief to have bullet proof glass put in his office.

I'm on a quest right now. For years I've collected patches from fire/ems depts around the country. I think I have about all I can get. Now a new quest.... I want to have a collection of DZ bumper stickers. Weird, I know but I need something to do. So if your willing to help by sending a bumper sticker or two from your dz no matter where in the world your at. drop a line and I'll get you a address.

#36. Hard opening with a blown cell on a new canopy. Cut it after control check and found it would not be safe to try and land it. Right side of canopy would collapse when check was being done.Cut at 3.5k and nice blue canopy overhead. Got a couple of broken ribs from it. -
Bwwwahahahaha...oh. Don't scare me like that. From a C.O.L. calc that I found, it's says that Austin is comparable to CO Springs. Know of any good overpasses with cable hook up I could stay under?

Hi all, It's been almost a year since the last time I posted anything. So what's been going on with everybody in my absence? As for me, I lost a job and been using my unemployment to travel around and see and jump at a bunch of different DZs. Now the unemployment has run out and it's time to get a job. I just got my TX medic numbers through reciprocity and should have a job in Austin. I just need to come up with the money to get back down there for my 2nd interview, PAT, and drug test. Then I can start work. Anybody know of a place where the rent is cheap in the Austin area?

Skydive Temple is a great place to jump.From the time of arriving at the DZ we were made to feel welcome by all there. Rich was very friendly and helpful in explaining everything about the DZ and it's operations. Small planes, but a great view from alti. The indoor packing area was nice and air conditioned. After the sunset load the cookout was a nice way to end the day. All of the local juumpers were friendly to the point of making the dz feel like I've been jumping there for years instead of being the first time there. The only con was out door seating for spectaors was limited for the amount of people there. So take your own chair and prepare to feel like you've found a home.

Believe me if I had a problem I could admit it.I've admited other things on here before.And the head med supervisor is known to be on ativan for anxiety.And a asst. supervisor that was convicted of dui.And it's a legit prescription I have for it.Hell,we have stonger things there than what I have.We have 50 and 100mcg fentynal patches that there are no documentatiion for there.Now if I wanted to I could have gotten them but instead I brougth it to the supervisors attention about it.I try to save what I have as a last resort for my migranes. It's a private company that does the medical for the jail.The jail quit doing it to save money.

I was talking with one of the peole that I work with and they were telling me that someone had threatend a while back and they got fired over it. That way they can hire someone else and pay them a lower rate thereby saving the company money.

No, the police came by the house.I work at the jail.Or did until this happened.THe COmmander of the jail called me at home and aske dif everything was all right.I said yeah,just watching some tv.I talked to my supervisor about it.And told him that the only meds I have is some percocet that I got over a year ago and that I only take it when my knee is bothering me or I have I migrane I can't get rid of.I told him the last time I took any was yesterday because of a migrane and I only took half of one.And that was yesterday morning.I opened a beer last night and had 2 hits off of it before pouring the rest out.And I told my sup that if I had such a probliem then why are the narcs always accounted for with nothing missing from my shift?I told him I could go in a do a piss test of blood test or hair test to prove them wrong.Now does that sound like a suicidal addict?

Is someone playing a joke on me because if so then it's not funny at all.I just got a call from work about a supposed problem I have.Apparently Some one has said I intend to do my self in.And now I see this post that I did not make and all these pm's from everybody.Well,I'm here to say that nothing is wrong.In fact nothing could be farther from the truth. I feel ok,a bit pissed off right now but other than that,fine.In fact I just made a date tonight ot go out with this hot girl sun night.The last post I made was this morning about storeing my rig.I'm thinking about taking a little time off to do some other things.I am in no way addicted to anything except this sport.Infact I was just talking to the dzo sun about getting back in the training harness and doing some coach jumps to get back up in the air.Now does that sound like some one who is planning on doing anything?So that post will be deleted and you can go on about your lives.There's nothing to see here.

It just does'nt feel right anymore.But alot of different reasons really. And no none of them have anything to do with a female.Hell I have'nt been on a date in over 6 months.MAybe one day I might be ready to jump again.But the way it feels right now who knows?

Every thing I have is new. It all has less than 50 jumps on everything, main,reserve,container,cypress,skytronic,altimeter,helmet.I bought everything brand new.

I posted this in the gear and rigging section but figured I would get more responses here so. How should I store my rig for a unknown length of time. I'm going to quit jumping for a while and need to know the best way to store it for the long haul.I don't know how long I'll be out or if I'll ever jump again so I might end up selling everything after a while

I don't see what the deal is. I've seen plenty of people deal with a AICD. The only time it goes off is if there is a rythem going on that it's set to recognize. Do you carry a magnet with you to reset it when it goes off?Of all the people that I've seen over the years with one, when it went off they wanted to go to the hosp to reset it since they didn't carry thier magnet on vacation with them. When I was working in Denver on a ambulance we had one on the trucks to reset them. I don't see why you would have a problem jumping with a AICD.
