    i'm a little nervous as well. i was thinking about hooking up my parachute to my car incase it gets thrown, at least it's descent would be alittle slower and more gentle. of course my car would load my canopy at like 14.7:1.....

    lived in baltimore for 18 years. Spent a year and a half in upstate new york, and 3.5 years in the philly metro area. Been in southeast FL for 1.5 years now. changes of scenery are good. __

    can't speak for sleeping in your car, but after one particularly rough night i ended up napping on top of a friends car in queens at about 4 AM wearing a full face helmet to stay warm. i don't recommend that, however. __

    that's bizarre! I did athletics in college, had a scholarship, etc, and the coaches and trainers HARSHLY discouraged us from rooming together given the vast amount of time we spent together traveling/training, etc. ugh. __

    Yesterday I received a card from a family I'd worked with stating that I was an angelic presence who removed them from the turmoil of the present and allowed them, for even a short time, to enter a state of peace. I work with hospice patients and families, often at bedside in teh alst moments. I think that was a pretty sweet compliment. __

    kinda hard to explain in writing, text, but i'll try. Blocks are sequences of formations. THey begin with one formation, there is what is called an "inter" which is a required move or separation between the team members, and the close which is the last picture. If you are looking at the dive tables you will see 3 images for each block (1st is the formation1, then the inter, then the close). 2 points are given for each block. teams can lose points if the inter is not performed correctly, and/or the correct separation is not displayed CLEARLY on the video. This is one reason a lot of the competitive teams wear white gloves/dark suits, it just shows separation better. Randoms are simply one formation. that's it. build it and go.

    we saw a hammerhead this weekend off on razzledazzle in pompano. twas neat to see... from a distance. if anyone is ever diving in south florida let me know! it's great down here! __

    yeah, 300 for airfare, especially around the holidays, isn't bad. not great, but probably about average. Just booked flights from south FL to baltimore for the holidays and they ran similarly in price, even after searching the discount sites... __

    similar thing happened to me. I ordered a TJNK. I got a TJNK.5 did i care? nope. they allotted extra room for my canopies airlocks. I'm glad they did and actually grateful that they thought ahead of me! had a small other issue, they mispelled the custom embroidery on my cutaway handle, but they fixed that up very quickly for me. __
