    On My *first* skydiving trip in Dec of '01 I dressed normally for the plane, but carried on my gear bag (no biggie, looks like a big backpack, but left the helmet, my old protec, hangign off the side of it. The looks I got were great. Heard lots of "mommy, she has a helmet...." I flew a bizarre charter airline last October that seemed to have an excess of pets on it. Felt like I was flying on Old MacDonalds Farm. ugh. __

    HOnestly, I wouldn't. Same reasons I wouldn't get a scuba tag. It kinda screams "ooh ooh! this car could have expensive sporting equipment in it." I know lots of people who won't go for the tags for that reason. No one needs to know there is $5K of sporting equipment in my trunk... __

    i second kramer. USED. Jumpsuits are NOT cheap (even very basic ones) and as you progress through demoing gear, student gear, and finally your own, you'll prolly have some creative landings. Who wants to spend 250$ and then get it messed up on day 1? I bought my first suit off the reject rack at square3 (Cross Keys). 20$. I learned a lot on it. THEN i eventually ordered my own suit with all the bells and whistles a hundred or so jumps later. When yo order a custom suit you are going to want every little extra on it, since it is *yours.* Don't do that for a first suit. For RW all you need are arm grips and leg grips (preferably not those little pencil sized ones) and if you prefer booties, something that makes you fall appropriately with others. Check out the classifieds.
