Have you taken her to the DZ, introduced her, found her someone to chat with while you jump? Do you totally ignore her while your there. Does she truely understand the sport. Doesn't sound like your jumping going away. Try real hard to get her as involved as you can. Fly Your Slot !

I went to Key West in July. After not answering my emails at Marathon FOREVER...I finally got someone on the phone that told me "no fun jumpers". I did stop by there and look at the place, closed. small runway, one cessna, lot's of obsticles. Then I read the piece about the boogie in Marathon. NOW THAT I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO. I almost Parasailed, just to get a fix and the sight from under canopy....but It looked too dangerous

What part of town you staying in? Skydive Houston in Waller is way north of Houston. Skydive Spaceland in Rosharon is way south. They are both first class Otter Dropzones. Sometimes we can even have totally opposite weather at both (imagine that, Texas weather). Whatever your discipline, you will find plenty of people to jump with at either. Remind us when your coming so some DZ.commer can help you feel welcome.

Sweet. Im working on exit's right now too. I got some really good advice. You have to actually visualize and dirt dive the exit just as much, if not more, than the skydive. Wheres my body to the Relative wind..etc. ** Then think ahead...OK, if it comes off and we key on the hill, my next move is....and my body postion would be..... Another thing I picked up at a Seminar last weekend (that I only got sit in for half of, and Im bummed) but, when you practice the climbout, pay VERY SPECIAL ATTENTION. Don't just climb out. Every foot, every hand should have an exact position that you can count....like Hand-one, Foot-two, Hand-three, Foot-four....or whatever the climbout may be. Pay special attention to your grips and footing and it will help your concentration on the count, you will be less likely to leave late and (most of the time) will have better body position on exit. I have a lot of work to do, but every little tiny piece of advice add's up. Fly Your Slot !

I was on a 4 way Sunday with two guys who could not hear. They were sooo cool. I wasn't organzing, but we did diamonds and donuts and turned about 14 points. It was fun dirt diving with them, facing out - you had to shake them to talk about the points. But once they could see your face, they knew exactly what to do. Freefall...well, who needs to hear in freefall? I love the way we communicate in this sport. Sorry I couldn't catch the names, but YOU GUYS ROCKED! Fly Your Slot !

I so needed that hug this morning. People should express AT you and not TO you - that's how it is on this forum. I don't take things personal because I know it's not about me, it's about something much greater - the sport. Ya know, sometimes you say things, or make a joke or piss someone off - but here I know it's OK, cause your off to the next thread, and you might actually have something valuable to say next time. Don't laugh, but actually the Intellegence of the people who skydive amaze me. The resources we have on this board for good answers to good questions and good commentary on "what if's" is why the sport has come so far. Can you feel the Love? Fly Your Slot !

This was a grand event with 13 formation loads flown. Even the problems were handled swiftly and efficiently. It's ashame to take away from the success of the event for one aborted load. 40 way is an amazing thing. Makes you love skydiving. Fly Your Slot !
