I never thought I say this, but wow, produce is cheap in San Diego. (I didn't think anything was cheap in SD) Last time I purchased a decent sized apple (not very long ago), it was $.88. I think they were $1.49/lb. I really don't think I could buy all that for under a buck per meal around here. I'll check next time at Publix, though. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! One sausage egg and cheese McMuffin costs $1, and will last me until dinner. Try as I might, I have not been able to match that in price or convenience. An apple costs me nearly as much, but only keeps me feeling not hungry for a couple hours. Plus, I can't keep roommates out of fruits and vegetables, so I end up paying for their food, as well. What do you think about people sueing McDonalds?

In order for this to be logical you must demonstrate that an option is either bad or good (no gray area), and that it is always bad or always good, regardless of the perspective of those who have said option. So you are saying eating McDonald's is a good option for society? Let us all eat at McDonalds and die of obesity and heart disease by 45. You sound like a corporate moneymonger, just trying to profit at the expense of the people. I'll bet you think trans-fat is a good thing, too. What about airborne plutonium greehouses gases? The more the merrier? I eat at McDonald's often, because they are cheap. My other option is not eating, which is definitely a bad option. I would much rather eat healthy every meal, but that is not an option currently available to me. (Though I do when the opportunity presents itself.) My point was that an option is good or bad relative to other available options, and not something intrinsic to any given option. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! And I'm proven wrong this time. From the US Constitution, Article One, Section 3: The point is yours, Sir. Nonetheless, if there was not enough evidence for a conviction during his impeachment, why would there be enough evidence for a conviction by a jury of twelve? That in itself would imply that our leaders are supposed to be held to a lower standard while in office. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

We obviously get our information from different sources. I tend to not rely on movies and television shows (excepting the occasional news program) for my info. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

From the impeachment standpoint, yes he was. From the criminal standpoint, no he wasn't. Think OJ Simpson, okay? OJ was found "not guilty" of the crime of murder. OJ was later found "liable" for the death of his ex-wife. Double Jeopardy? No. So you think we should sue Clinton in civil court? It's not my theory, it the Constitution. A sitting president is tried for a crime via impeachment. If you are not happy with that then your grief should be with the Constitution, and not Clinton. With Clinton, persecution aside, the system worked exactly as it was designed. He was charged, impeached and acquitted. BTW The reason Ford had to pardon Nixon was because Nixon was not impeached; he did not face prosecution as Clinton did. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

What possibly gave you that idea. Clinton was charged. Clinton was prosecuted. Clinton was acquitted. What more do you want? To know what were the key factors to the deal he cut, with federal prosecutors, on his last day in office??? Why would he need a deal. He had already been persecuted and prosecuted. If there was additional evidence of a crime, I have no doubt Ashcroft would have pursued that evidence vigorously. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

The claim was that nothing of significance had been found after investigation. I posted the article, disproving that claim. What you seem unable or unwilling to understand is that the well cited article only has to make a single point to refute the claim that nothing of any significance had been found supporting allegations of election fraud. Just one. The article finds evidence to support many claims of election fraud. There need be no trials or convictions to prove fraud occurred. If such were the case, then one could claim that Jon Benet Ramsey was not killed because no one had been tried and convicted of the crime. So, since you cannot refute the overwhelming evidence, we are left with no choice but to conclude that GWB won Ohio via election fraud. Or, of course, we can continue to live in denial of such things happening in the USA, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! Clinton had plans to go after OBL, but FBI and CIA would not say with certainty that OBL was behind USS Cole attack. The right was bitching about how Clinton was obsessed with OBL back then. It's ironic that now they are complaining about how he did not go to war without good intelligence. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

He was impeached and acquitted of perjury. I have to assume that those who heard the testimony were better qualified to make a decision on his guilt or non-guilt than armchair quarterbacks on a skydiving forum. Until we get a better system, the Constitution will have to suffice. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

What do you think about people sueing McDonalds?
jcd11235 replied to stayhigh's topic in Speakers Corner
The difference is that McDonald's isn't selling a product that is chemically addictive, while the tobacco companies are, all the while aggressively marketing their product to knowingly misrepresent to the public just how harmful to the users' health it is. Don't forget about them adding chemicals to make their products even more addictive. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials! -
According to the Constitution, charges are brought upon a sitting president via impeachment. Clinton was impeached, and subsequently found guilty. He escaped neither persecution nor prosecution. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

You mean tax incentives (cuts)for businesses? That's corporate welfare. (Heresy) I interpreted incentives as offering prizes for being the first to accomplish something, like whoever can land the first person on Mars and bring them back safely wins X amount of dollars. What about small companies who don't have the capital to compete with the larger corps.? Do we just throw them to the curb by leaving them no alternative but to sell the technologies they develop to big companies? - Perhaps I used a misleading example. Projects smaller than a human to Mars mission could qualify for incentives. Or perhaps I am misinterpreting Billvon's post. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
