Are any wingsuiters planning to go to the Belize Boogie (Feb 14th - Feb 23rd)? I went last year after the Puerto Rico boogie and had an awesome time. This is really a great boogie. The view is amazing! The hotel is within walking distance of the airport (In fact, it is right across the street). Also, there is a scuba boat that leaves from the hotel. It is unfortunate that it occurs just after Puerto Rico, but it is definitely worth attending. This is the fifth year of the boogie, so I don't know how many more years it will occur. If you have a significant other that does not jump, then this is the boogie to bring her/him along (especially if she/he scuba dives). The Blue Hole jump is scheduled for Friday, Feb 20th. Even if you can't make the entire boogie, it is worth going just for this jump. This jump is 60 miles off the coast of Belize into the Blue Hole atoll. Yes, last year I made an intentional water landing with my wingsuit. It was not hard to get out of the suit and harness. I had flotation gear, but I did not have to use it. You can purchase demo gear, if you do not want to get your own gear wet. After the Blue Hole jump, the scuba dive into the Blue Hole is great (130 - 140 feet deep :) Then, we make one or two dives on the way back to the hotel. Check out the website for details http://www.skydivebelize.com/ Let me know if you are thinking about going, and we can discuss travel arrangements. Purple Mike Note: This boogie has a 500 total jump minimum.

Scotty, You might want to keep your old camera, so that you have a reserve still and a reserve video camera :) Thank you for including me on this jump! Purple Mike -

Steve, I already have my plane ticket for Sebastian. I arrive in Orlando around 5:30 pm on Friday, and I leave early Monday morning. My plan is to turn around and fly somewhere warm with a lot of birds (like Zhills) for Thanksgiving. Purple Mike

Who is going to be flocking at the Thanksgiving Boogie at Zhills (Thursday 11/22 - Sunday 11/25)?

Great job Justin! I enjoyed jumping with everyone at Pepperell this year. See you in Florida/Puerto Rico this Fall/Winter :) Purple Mike

I agree ... we definitely need two planes! Is anyone jumping on Thursday, Oct 4th? I am planning to buy my plane tickets soon, and I can be there to jump on Thursday Load 1. So, here is the beginning of the Thursday list: 1. Purple Mike Add your name if you plan to jump on Thursday :)

I'm flying into Brussels on Friday morning (June 29th). Is anyone else going to be in Brussels on Friday? Is anyone going to be jumping on Friday? I plan to rent a car and either head down to the DZ on Friday, or up to Amsterdam to meet up with everyone. Purple Mike P.S. Get your cameras ready :) -
It will be nice to fly with you again mini me

I just registered for the AN_72 boogie. Get your cameras ready :) Purple Mike

ALL: I made five jumps this weekend in the freezing northeast from a Cessna 182 at CPI and a Porter at the Ranch. There was snow on the ground as well as a little at altitude. We only got 9000 feet from the Cessna. One student was brave enough to make his first flight in the cold, but he grew up in Siberia. Yuri base was the only other bird with me, so I made a lot of solos :) I am ready for the warm weather! Here is the plan: Thursday 7 jumps Friday 7 jumps Saturday Wingsuit #1000 will be jump #4! See you soon, Purple Mike

Well said Scott. The near collision at Skydive Sebastian a few weeks ago could have resulted in a triple fatality. I've watched a canopy collision in Thailand that resulted in a double fatality after a mass exit from a C-130. We've been safe for the past two Flock n Docks (as well as 1.5 and 2.5), so I'm sure that we will do it again. Purple Mike P.S. I will be there in two days!

James, What differs between this suit and the vampire that allows for a lower stall speed to enable the slow horizontal / slow vertical flight mode? Does this difference compromise the fast forward / slow vertical flight mode? In the fast forward / slow vertical flight mode, do you expect better performance from the vampire or the new flocking suit? Can we have one delivered in time for the AN-72 boogie? Thanks, Purple Mike
-
*** even Purple Mike will be left out of frame ;) /quote] Well, maybe I'll just have to get one! I know that you can make it in purple :) Does it come with a phoenix-fly logo option like the vampire?
-
Chuck, Yeah, I mean next Wednesday. I need 23 more jumps to reach 1000 wingsuit jumps. So here is my plan: 6 jumps at the Ranch in NY this weekend (unless its too fucking cold) 6-8 Thursday 6-8 Friday Then, jump 1000 = jump number 3,4, or 5 on Saturday! If the weather is bad at the Ranch this weekend, then I may have to jump at Zhills on Wednesday. Purple Mike

I will be arriving on Wednesday. Hopefully, I can make a few jumps before sunset, otherwise I'll start jumping on Thursday.
