  3. ***Someone better have pie ready... or whatever you can get your hands on...*** For those of you who were on my 1000th skydive, NO FUCKING EGGS THIS TIME :)
  4. Omar, I plan to make my 1000th wingsuit jump on Saturday at Flock n Dock, and I would like to make that jump as big as possible. You were on my 1000th skydive a couple of years ago, and it would be great for you to join the flock on my 1000th wingsuit jump. Purple Mike

  6. How many wingsuit flyers will be attending this boogie?
  7. Are you sure about those dates? I just searched another thread and found 3-8 July 2007. Can somone confirm the dates?
  8. What are the dates of the boogie? Where is it located? Is there an english website with boogie information?
  9. Ok, I'm flying into Jacksonville instead. I'll see you in Palatka!
  10. Purple Mike will be there :)
  11. Is this the entire list of confirmed birds at the Keys Boogie? 1. Perry 2. Matt 3. Purple Mike 4. Scott Bland 5. Gray Mike
  12. ALL: What birds plan to be at the Keys boogie in November? Has a list been started yet? Mike
  13. ALL: It's been cold, windy, and rainy in NY, so I'm thinking of Heading to Z-Hills next weekend (Oct 28-29). Who plans to be flying that weekend? Mike
  14. Thanks for the offer to borrow some gear, but I should be ok. I will know on Thursday if my gear will be ready, but I will have to try to fly standby on an earlier flight in order to make a flock on Friday. Mike
  15. ALL: Assuming that my new gear is ready, I may try to make some jumps on Friday. Who plans to be there on Friday? Mike
  16. No beer ... this was my fourth cutaway and with 1280 jumps that is around 1 in 320 or .31%. As for the malfunction, the main opened hard forcing my head against my chest with line twists all the way to the risers. After unlocking my head for the riser twists, I briefly looked up at the twists, started to pull them apart, and then I began to feel the G-forces of the spinning canopy. This also happened last July and it didn't take me long to cut away again. The pull on the main release handle was a hard two handed pull, and my RSL beat me to my reserve handle again. I deployed around 3500 feet, and I was unzipped in the saddle around 2500 feet. I was jumping with Pete Muldoun who saw my main go into a river and free bag land in a far away field. Maybe I'll find them, but I already have a Sabre2 150 on order for the weekend :)
  17. I had to chop this weekend, but I'm still planning to come down on Friday. Hopefully, I can find my gear today, or put something together quick. I've been flying the same Sabre 2 190 for 1200+ jumps, so I'll probably buy/demo a Sabre 2 150 or 170. The good news is that I'm still walking, and I will be able to fly again soon :) Mike
  18. I like that picture as well. In fact, I attached it to my farewell email as I left my old job, and I used it as my background when I arrived at my new job :) Someone said that this picture made it to a British skydiving magazine. Can anyone confirm that? Mike
  19. Purple Mike will arrive Friday night :)
  20. I'll be heading out to the ranch again this weekend. It looks like there will be some nice white puffy clouds :)
  21. Acutually I am closer with direct flights from NY to San Juan in under four hours for about $250 :)
  22. We had a great time at the Ranch. Thanks Yuri, Pete, and Wayne for some nice flights. Also, Alex did well on his first Prodigy jump, and I hope to see him fly it again. Let's do it again next weekend! P.S. Yuri has some nice HD video of me :)
  23. I just moved to Connecticut, so it looks like the Blue Sky Ranch will be my new home DZ. Are there any wingsuit flyers here?
