    Gun nut?

No, I understand that you want to try and tie the KKK and the NRA together to try and make you weak point stronger. Prove it, or at least admit you are unable and just running off at the mouth.
  3. It actually does not change the intent as presented... I said the FF stated the militia was the whole of the people..... And he did say that. He does say he is not sure what the future holds, but Mason considered the militia to be the people and that *is* supported by your longer quote. AND when you go further into the discussion you would know that the quote came during the discussion of the Virginia ratifying convention and how a BoR was needed. The Virginia delegation's recommended BoR stated: That the people have a right to keep and bear arms; that a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defence of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, and therefore ought to be avoided as far as the circumstances and protection of the community will admit; and that, in all cases, the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power. So my point that the FF's (in this case Mason) said that the militia was to be formed of the people still stands.
  4. Prove it. Because you know you are unable, you will not.
  5. So you want to ignore this story, but you post the NAZI story with the same sources?
  6. Bad analogy. A better one would be that a person who graduates Skydive University may be better than someone who does not. To claim a person MUST do SDU to win 4way is like claiming a person needs a degree to be smart.
  7. Mine did till June of last year. They brought it back recently.
  8. Depends on the degree... Degrees like Medicine, Engineering....ect can really matter. Things like Marketing, History...ect less so. I know lots of people with a degree that do not work in their profession. So a degree is more a check point to get a job. I know lots of people with no degree and really good jobs.... Heck, most of my peers think I have a Masters.
  9. You still denying that the last recession started under Clinton?

    Gun nut?

Nope, but your illogical leap that the NRA = the KKK is just silly. You bringing race into it and trying to tie the NRA into the KKK is showing how you think. You trying to make it a racist issue shows that you want it to be a racist issue. Unless you can show me where the NRA says it supports the KKK.... You are making things up to try and make this a racist issue... That says more about you than about the NRA

    Gun nut?

Being that most gun control laws are based in racist thinking.... Yeah, you have no clue what you are talking about. The NRA supports the right of ANY citizen to own a firearm. The only person bringing in race is YOU and that says more about you than anything else. BTW, I am not a member of the NRA.... They screw up more than they help. GOA is much better.
  12. A visit is different than being there most of the year. Exposure time to incident rate is a good place to start. But if you don't know how long the person is in each place we can't use that. Murder per capita is another great place to start. http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_mur_percap-crime-murders-per-capita MX is #6 US is #24 While that does not break down by visitor/citizen... It does show that MX has more murders per population than the US. Well basically you are just making up data sets then. Approximately 20 million Americans visit Mexico each year (http://tinet.ita.doc.gov/outreachpages/download_data_table/2007_US_Travel_Abroad.pdf) To just ignore them to make a data set is just dishonest.
  13. Unless it deal with personal freedom on certain topics....
  14. So it would be fair to say that the ACTIVE Mods are liberal. Personally, I have seen them use "mod power" in an unequal method.
  15. Many quotes from the founding fathers state that they want the average citizen to be armed. I see someone else has posted many of them. Here are some more. "I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them." -- George Mason "And we do each of us, for ourselves respectively, promise and engage to keep a good firelock in proper order, and to furnish ourselves as soon as possible with, and always keep by us, one pound of gunpowder, four pounds of lead, one dozen gunflints, and a pair of bullet moulds, with a cartouch box, or powder horn, and bag for balls." -- George Mason Fairfax County Militia Plan, 1775. "They tell us that we are weak—unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Three million people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us." -- Patrick Henry, 1775 "The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand, arms like laws discourage and keep the invader and the plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. The balance of power is the scale of peace. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside. Horrid mischief would ensue were one half the world deprived of the use of them; the weak would become a prey to the strong." -- Thomas Paine, writing to religious pacifists in 1775 "Arms in the hands of the citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self-defense." -- John Adams "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms" -- Thomas Jefferson. "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined. The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able may have a gun." -- Patrick Henry "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them." -- Richard Henry Lee American Statesman, 1788 And I have never seen a quote from a founding father saying that citizens should not be allowed to be armed.... In fact, most seem to require it or at least strongly encourage it, IMO.
  16. And there were 300M in the US from 2004-2008, how many Americans were in MX at that time? You don't seem to grasp statistics.
  17. Well just last weekend a corp plane broke down and the VIP's on board where not allowed to leave the protective detail or seek alternative travel arrangements. So the VIP's were stuck in Mexico at the hotel for fear of a kidnapping. Many of us have first hand knowledge and many more have official knowledge. Does that mean you are sure to die or get kidnapped? No, but the warnings should be listened to and considered. Personally, I would not go to many places in MX unless I had to go, and then I would stay as low profile as possible. Some areas are fine, but even the tourist places are seeing violence http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/6111426-mexico-police-found-12-corpses-in-cancun-beach
  18. I clearly wrote what I wrote... Read it again. Pay particular attention to post #11, the sentence that started with "While *I* think it is stupid...." And then for fun read the sentences that follow. And are you ready to personally invade to prevent it? Or do you think that the governed are responsible for their own government? Just trying to get you to realize that your opinion does not mean law. And that people should be free to run their own lives to INCLUDE deciding how they want to be governed. Would YOU be OK if the UN said we could not use capital punishment at all? Cause YOU are trying to impose YOUR views on others.... Exactly the same thing.
  19. Nonsense... That is all you decipher from it. There is no gray area according to the law in that land. I guess you didn't actually read the article either.... I guess you consider *Scotland* to be filled with "compassionless conservatives", and the woman in question to be "not white", and the legal system over there to be "right wing conservative", and " blinded by conservative ideaology" Like I said... It is pretty clear you didn't read anything. This is about a WHITE person *IN* EUROPE being held to a blind standard. Like I said... It is clear you have not read anything here.

    Gun nut?

Actually, it was an example posted to show your flawed thinking process... If A = A, then B = B. Except you don't seem to like being shown it.
  21. Like it or not.... That is the law in that Country and they have voted for those laws. Maybe, but that is THEIR call to make. It is a different Country.... I have no say there, just like they have no say here. What do you want to do? Personally invade and free her? They chose the laws, they have to live with them.
  22. You clearly don't actually read all the posts on here.

I wonder how many criminals like the ACLU? That is just about as logical as your comparison.

    Gun nut?

I am sure you would have invited this guy to your house for dinner? He was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers. He was sentenced according to the law by a Judge. He picked the method that was used.
  25. That is one of the ways people attack it. They try to change the definitions to limit the power. Back then the average person WAS the Milita. So the Founding Fathers wanted the average person to have weapons suitable in case they were needed to defend the State. But then we created a State Milita.... That does not change the intent of the 2nd, although people want to claim that with a State controlled Milita that the average citizen no longer needs weapons. But the founding principal still stands not matter how much you want to wrangle and twist it... The Founding Fathers wanted the average citizen to be armed. Redefining the terms should not change the intent.
