No, it is me reading what you wrote in post 71 of this thread: "Seems fair enough. 31 rds plus for LEO and Mil, 30 and below are plenty for Comps and weekend fun. Matt" Right now you have the RIGHT to 100 round mags. The military and police can use them, but you are willing to give up that RIGHT. Sorry, but if we can have it today and you support giving that up.... It is you surrendering rights. Not a difficult concept really. 2nd time I am asking..... Show me a quote from a founding father that limits an item, not an action.... If you do not, I assume it is because you CANNOT. Please show me where a Founding Father said that a citizen could not have a cannon? Your idea of "common sense" is why England has been disarmed. This just shows how pathetic your arguments and intellectual ability is.

When did I say "the people"??? I said him. Are you speaking for him now? Great, but your claim was, "I've yet to see Islamic religion interfere in American life"....And to that, I'd say 9/11 was interference. You will also note, but may not admit, that I never said Christianity does not interfere. So your OKC example is moot. -
Are you not saying that you think we should give ground to try and keep the whole? Because you said exactly that earlier. Please show me where the Founding Fathers expressed limits on the right to keep and bear arms that would have anything to do with the OBJECT, not INTENT. BTW, bonus points if you can find one on the very website you provided http://www.largo.org/meaning2.html Yet, you are willing to surrender my rights because it will make your life easier.... How is that not against your oath?

Show where I support them. 9/11 ring a bell? Show where I support the Christin church, or book bans. -
Incorrect, it is not a double standard if I support the SAME standard. It is YOU that has the double standard. You support ID to buy a gun, but not ID to vote.

Fixed it for you.

Maybe you should read my posts before you knee-jerk reply? I explained myself, but you didn't bother to read it before you replied. If you had, you would have not needed to reply, or would have asked for a clarification if I was not clear enough. I have plenty of ideas... And none of them are any different than the laws currently on the books and ignored. If Cho's records had been reported.... He would not have been allowed to have guns and he should have been forced to attend his court 'mandated' therapy. Columbine, both kids had histories of mental health issues... Plus, they were too young to buy handguns. AZ, the shooter had a history of mental health issues and a history of drug use. Here it seems the shooter also had a history of mental health issues, and MAYBE even wrote out his plans and sent them days in advance. Now, do you have any ideas besides taking away a citizens rights?

And yet you would not get up in arms if someone had said: "I will work to stop the Christianization of our society, and do everything possible to prevent Christian based law from circumventing our laws and our Constitution," I personally would not support sharia law, or any other religion based law. -
All I have said is you are going against the Founding Fathers intentions and against your own personal oath of enlistment. I have backed that up with data. Go ahead, since you know me so well, list which rights I do not defend. I have taken the same oath. Do you see me putting limits on rights and being willing to give up rights to appease people who will never stop trying to take your rights? YOU, not me are the one saying that we should just give up our rights because it is 'easier'.
-
On that there is a difference; You however have stated that certain types of arms should not be allowed and that people should not be allowed to carry. Guns have limitations... In range, accuracy, rate of fire, etc. That is a physical fact. But guns have no emotions or ability to act and do not need limits like magazine bans. What you want is limits in gun RIGHTS for PEOPLE.
-
Your link does not support your goal. You took an oath to defend the Constitution.... Not to 'compromise' when it looks easier. You are supporting giving anti-gunners something they want while Pro-gunners lose a right. You should be smart enough to know that they do not stop trying to take away rights.... You will give up one right at a time till you have nothing. At one time, England had a right to bear arms.
-
Well, just admit you do not understand tactics and the difference between 'real' tactics and paintball tactics. A paintball gun and a real gun are not close to the same thing. Getting hit with a paintball and a real bullet is not close to the same thing.

1. I saw no mention of body armor in that article. 2. You have proven that a dedicated killer will always kill. 3. Guns are still just tools: "Authorities say the man charged with that shooting also firebombed four police vehicles in October as part of a "one-man war" against law enforcement."
-
Or they grow up being afraid of everything and try to ban things they do not understand.
-
Maybe because that is not where your focus was? I even mentioned one in the post before the one you replied to.....
-
And that Chicago had to go back to the SC since they were fighting the law tooth and nail. And that Emanual said he would do everything to try and fight it? You trying to claim that the decision in 2010 suddenly made Chicago into a city where the average person could get a carry permit or exercise a right is sad. You do know that IL is the only State that flat out forbids carry right? And you do know that Chicago is in IL, right?
-
You just proved my point. You think the solution is to limit an object. JUST like the idea that the solution to stopping drunk driving is to limit cars. You ignore EVERY other option.
-
Ever see a little child with an irrational fear of the 'monster' in the closet?
-
It is illegal to carry a gun while drunk in most States. It is illegal to get a gun with intent to use it for a crime in ALL of them. And there is the problem. You don't want to discuss what can be done to prevent a mass murderer, you want to discuss how to ban or limit an object. This would be like trying to 'fix' DUI's by banning cars from people that do not even drink. You want to discuss how to prevent mass murder.... Well, better reporting of people with known mental health issues would have worked in VT, Columbine, AZ and here in CO. Overall better mental health care would have maybe done something as well. But banning an item clearly does not work.
-
You just can't stop with the PA's can you? Already illegal. Your 'ideas' do nothing.
-
History has shown us that if we just increase taxes that they will just increase spending. If we do not control spending, this economy is lost.
-
I have answered your questions. You fail to recognize that a cop and a citizen is not the same thing, have different standards for action, and are held to different standards for their actions. That is not my fault that you do not grasp that simple concept showing your question to be false. BEFORE SYG..... Not now. Do some research before you try to act like an expert. Why do you think SYG was put into place?
-
You have several times stated that citizens do not need to be armed. No, your OPINION is that you are realistic. That is not the same as a fact and no more valid than someone else's opinion.
-
No more useless than trying to disarm honest citizens to try and stop criminals.

113 people have been killed in mass shootings in the US in the last 10 years. 115 people have been killed skydiving in N. America in 5 years. 228 people have been killed by guns in Chicago from Jan 1 to June 16th this year. Skydiving kills more people and gun laws clearly do not work.
