  1. In this real world example, no cops were run over, but two guys were shot.
  2. WE did not give the order, nor pull the trigger. (Well maybe you did, but I did not...I don't want to speak for you) How could WE have prevented it? An invasion? Equally? No. I did not ask nor order anyone to kill. The person who does the dead, or orders it is much more culpable.
  3. Since people should not be allowed to own a personal nuke, they should not be allowed to own a gun? Bad logic right there. As for the constitution it states "to form a militia." A normal militia would not include jets, mines, or nukes. In fact having been a soldier in the US I never used a nuke, a jet with laser quided bombs, nor a landmine.
  4. What do you think should be done to a man who killed 180,000 people? (Of course this verdict was only for a few hundred people) "Saddam is currently in the midst of another trial, charged with genocide and other crimes during a 1987-88 military crackdown on Kurds in northern Iraq. An estimated 180,000 Kurds died during the operation."
  5. Of course, but the story takes a large number and attributes the whole number to one cause. The story should have only used the number of fatalities due to police not wearing a seatbelt. And to be really truthful only those that were not worn for the reason they claim.
  6. But 800-900 FPS muzzle velocity beats 88 FPS. I would try to use the car how it was designed...And thats to drive away; it also can be used as cover. By trying to run over the cops (even if you didn't know they were cops) you would most likely end up with some bullet holes in you, just like this guy did.
  7. That is a valid reason. In Iraq soldiers don't wear seatbelts at times for the same reason. It is a TACTICAL issue, not one of hypocrisy. Now I personally think that it is a poor choice. The seatbelt use would be a better choice than quick access to the firearm since they are more likely to get into a traffic accident than a firefight. I am also disappointed that the police do not have a different seatbelt design for this reason. Also, the story does not show how many fatalities were the result of not wearing a seatbelt. It takes a large number that could have many causes (deaths due to traffic accidents) and by omission tries to imply that all of the officers did not wear seatbelts. But accident reviews show that some accidents result in fatalities even when seat belts are worn.
  8. Or maybe the police got caught up in trying to "serve and protect"? Ever been driving and had to stop short? Did you throw your arm up to protect the passenger from the dash (Maybe to cop a feel on a hottie )? That is an automatic reaction, your arm would not really do anything in a crash, but you do it anyway. The cops might step in front of a car since that is where the best shot (not safest for them) can be taken. The target is moving at you so you don't have to lead and it is getting bigger so you don't have to rush the shot. Also, the chance of a miss flying through the car and hitting someone is less. Point is that people often make automatic moves to do what they think is right. You amy think they stepped in front so they can claim they were in danger (possible, but stupid to do). While I would think they just got caught up and tried to stop the suspect.
  9. You think the cops in this case didn't think of that as well? Simple fact is that when actually in that kind of situation you can't think clearly.
  10. Your opinion. Others have the right to disagree.
  11. Really...Google it, she fits. She was in charge national health care and blew it. Look you like socialism, but the United States is NOT socialist. Move, or vote for your local socialist party.
  12. Because it is not in my nature to "turn Rambo". It never solves a problem. What exactly I would have done depends on a bunch of things that we cannot know from the information given. Was there a better exit route that through the van? We don't know. I have had guns pulled on me before, I didn't shit myself then, I doubt I would now. As for Amazon, she was a survival instructor (SERE) http://www.gosere.com/fast.html in the Airforce. I kinda doubt she would crap herself either. We also have several police and other armed forces members on this site...I doubt they would wet themselves as well.
  13. I think that the fact these suspects were leaving after already having an issue inside the club says a bit as well. Facts are we may never find out what really happend, but it is strange that suspects that were already being watched just happend to run into a cop car. I would maybe do close to the same. How would you react if a guy tried to run you down with a car and you were a cop? I know you will claim to "follow SOP's", but in reality don't you think THEY would have said the same thing?
  14. Yes, don't you think it could say that some were in the danger area, and others were not? I mean if a guy went to punch you, it is not like I would flinch if I were standing 5 feet away, right? The number of misses just tells me that most trained people will shoot badly when the bullets start to fly. Again very common. I also think it is a shame someone died. I would really like to know if the suspects *tried* to hit the cop car both times. But we will never really know.
  15. No, but you seem to be missing that the suspects were involved with some issue INSIDE the club and then some how managed to hit a parked COP car on the way out. If I had threatend to kill you, and then you pulled the gun it would change the situation right? Then you would be justified.
  16. So you get called for doing what you claim others are doing and the best you can do is attack people? How about you act like you claim to be, instead of act one way and then claim others are wrong? And if you don't want opinions, I suggest you quit posting to this site. And the only whining I see is from you once you were proven to act one way and talk another.
  17. It is also a crime to try and run over someone, which might have happend here. So like I said earlier. We have a situation where things such as "Get the gun" were said by the suspects who hit a car. When the undercover police showed up the suspects tried to escape. You would agree it is a normal reaction to try and run from unknown people with a gun right? So do I. But why did the suspects happen to hit a COP car filled with police "as the victims walked out, got into their silver Nissan Altima, drove half a block, turned a corner and struck a black unmarked police minivan bearing plainclothes officers. The car then backed up, nearly hitting an undercover officer, and shot forward, slamming again into the police van, the police said." But in trying to run it seems they tried to hit a few undercover police, and while the departments SOP's do not allow deadly force in this case it is equally as easy to see how the cops opened fire. So while I do think that the police violated the SOP's...I can also see how BOTH parites thought they were doing the correct thing. The first report states that these people were involved with a situation inside the club, and then the shooting involved the BACKUP force outside.
  18. Ah yes...The fine details. Someone gets it, not like the automatic "hang the cops" crowd. Yes, they would try to fight or run. If escape is not permitted, they will fight. According to the SOP's for that department, no. However actually being in that situation, fearing for your life. I can easily see why the police, or anyone would open fire.
  19. It is not a case of knowing what she is talking about...It is about acting Rambo. Also, you don't know my history or my skill sets. So, while I can agree that some action could be required, the "I would flatten the muthafuckas that were trying to shoot at me." Is EXACTLY why this situation turned the way it did. Someone thought they were Rambo and started trying to "flatten" the others. Except the others killed them.
  20. Ah you said "I would flatten the muthafuckas that were trying to shoot at me." Nice try. You acted like a badass and were called on it. Rambo would now like his bandana back. I would not be in that situation in the first place for starters. But the last thing I would do is turn Rambo.
  21. It should also be noted that the average cost of living in FL is rising so fast that people are leaving the state. Using ACCRA it shows that ALL of FL is around the 100 mark.
  22. I would not vote for that ticket. I just think Hillary is a snake. I actually seem to like Obama so far. But HC on the ticket would prevent me from voting for it. McCain/Obama. Maybe. Clark/Obama. Maybe. Clinton/anyone. No.
  23. The goal was to prevent staw purchuses, where you buy a gun for me who can't legally. The idea is to limit the ability for me to be an agent and buy a bunch of guns to sell on the black market to make money. A great idea to try and prevent those types of sales, but a really bad way to try and stop it.
  24. A vehicle is a weapon even if the SOP requires more. Just because the SOP is that it requires more than a car...does not mean that a car is not deadly force. There has been statements where the cops said they had to dodge to avoid being hit by the car, AND the suspects vehicle did hit an unmarked police car. You don't need to prove they were cops. If a vehicle comes running at you, do you think that is a threat? I agree based on the "need more than a vehicle". However, you have to agree that if the suspect did run into an unmarked cop car and tried to hit a cop or two that the shoot, while not policy, is also not a crime.
  25. Not even close, YOU are the only one talking about how badass you are.
