I personally like the system of naming people by how many posts they have, even though I have more jumps than posts. But I do see your point about confusing newbies. William

Then you are going to have to change all the people who are veterens and addicts who are on student status. William

I met someone the other day you should meet. She stopped in the middle of the road just outside of base and started yelling all kinds of conspiracy theories. I had to go detain her and get her can moved. Unfortunately for your cause though, she was a physciatric patient who forgat to take her medication. William

I am sure each manufacturer will say there kind lasts longer though. William

It most likely is not even important. I have seen both types with 2000 jumps on them. Most canopies never make it to 2000 jumps anyway. If I had to guess (and I have no concrete knowledge, so it is a guess) then I would say the slippier kind would last longer just because I have seen some of them with several thousand jumps on them, where I have not with the less slippery kinds of zp. It seams to help with my FX. Never tried it before I got the FX. William

400 posts. I have been posting more since I have not been able to jump as much. William

I was actually responding to the earlier posts. Sorry. I have also noticed that getting big to slow down ust before opening helps a lot. William

I lot of the opening issues with cross braced canolpies are solved by using different packing techniques. I have got to where my FX opens as good as my Crossfire did. William

Being recalled to the Marine Corps sucks in that regard.

lately my post numbers have been gaining on my jump numbers.

jump it sure, but not land it. I heard of a guy jumping a kite with a cutaway rig. I would like to jump something rediculously small just to see how it feels and then cut it away at about 5 grand. The guy that i met that jumped the kite had one problem though. He did not change the angle of attack and the thing flew between his legs because a kite is trimmed much differently than a parachute. I think that was someone else that got his password.

Oh yeah. There was a time when I said I would never jump a canopy under 135 square feet. William

How many people have more posts than jumps and the other way around? I for one have a lot more jumps than posts.
-
oh yea. now I remember. didn't he stop posting?

Are there any good free flying tunnel camps?
-
Just curious here. How many new jumpers (we will say less than 100 jumps) plan to some day be jumping a cross-braced rocket ship, and how many don't think they ever will?
-
trying to run up those post numbers?

Way to go. I am going to have to invest in some tunnel time at some point. William
