Mornin` all. Raining here It`s windy so fckn rain drops sideways. It`s going to stay that way at least until the Saturday. Sucks. Anybody from that side of the world knows some juju for good weather? Oh and... I teach college kids. 18-20 years. But, last year my school was in Government program for educating high school teachers in comp science. Standard groups consisted of 40-50 year old people, usually with no previous knowledge of English language or computers. After two days they were working in Excel just fine. dudeist skydiver #42

Hey, it`s a shame you`re living so far away. I have found some great ways of teaching "your kind of people" comp skills . Really. Today is start of a new semester. I had 30 kids since 9am and they finished their tasks very fast. I hope it`s going to continue that way... No jumps for me last weekend. I went on a "Big fat Greek wedding" on Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning i got to the DZ, geared up, and then the weather rolled in. Sh*t. Still, maybe it`s going to get better in 5 days... dudeist skydiver #42

Thanks for the concern. Still, though I`m sorry for him we are not good friends, just DZ buddies. He was jumping like mad in the last couple of months, piling up jumps. I always thought he has rich daddy. They got him with that shitload of money when they busted into some dealers apartment (which they were after in the first place). 26 years old and I don`t think he is getting away lightly... Mornin` all. News for today is that one of my jump buddies is arrested. They got him with 12000 Euros when he tried to buy some narcotics. Lately he was jumping like crazy and he ordered a new container with all extra options for 3000$+. I was wondering where is he getting the money. Talk about "Point Break"... dudeist skydiver #42

Sometimes when I try to exit the room too fast, I pull the knob to open the door, but because I`m in a hurry I simultaneously try to go through the door. I end up hitting myself in the forehead. If you can imagine it, for anyone that is looking It appears like I was deliberately trying to slam my head with the damn thing. dudeist skydiver #42

Hm, the real scene was last year when skydiver boyfriend brought his non-skydiving girlfriend to do tandem, but didn`t tell her what she is about to do. Afterwards he told her, she played along thinking it was all a big joke. We thought she said OK and she`s going for it. We thought... until we opened the door. Yes. I got back from the strut, we did a second pass, but nothing... I was surprised with the lack of symptoms of quitting. TI was speaking with her for the whole ride up (which can last in a C-182), you know, relaxing, her without stupid jokes etc. Actually, she was one of the best passengers on the ride up, smiling telling jokes... Background is that her husband bought her a tandem jump ticket. In the end he jumped on the next load. dudeist skydiver #42

Well if you were living closer to me I could really help you. Last spring I was teqaching computer courses to ehm.. more mature students than usual. So I know what`s the best way to teach an old dog couple of new tricks. Not saying anything bad about your age... I was doing a video... There I was hanging of the Cessna strut, 10k feet... when she started to yell "NO"... At first i thought she is freaking out "the usual way" as some students do. I was wrong dudeist skydiver #42

We did another Dudeist 2-way (pic 1). We planned to make new Dudeist record and make 3-way, but at the last moment, formation-dude #3 decided to contemplate more on things and all and work on his Indian Seat... The moment when I regretted I don`t have a shotgun. Also see pic 2 and pic 3. Still, later I figured it was very dudelike of him to do something like that. dudeist skydiver #42

Does the phrase "don't show any mercy" ring any bell???? They did not give ME any chance. They did exceptionally good. It was practical part of the exam. Making animations.
