  1. Denigrating the masculinity of men not in agreement is an ongoing and repeating theme of one of the posters on my kill list here. I'm sure there's a reason for that.
  2. Don't be sorry. I'm sure there are always "alternative facts" to fall back on.
  3. What happens now? The lunatic fringe still won't get it's way. But it still holds a few critical votes. There can only be a deal with the other side if the other side gets something from it. Stalemate.
  4. He could not and would not be able to do that in the current House. He had nothing to offer the other side.
  5. There is no reason McCarthy could not get the job back. Someone will.
  6. He should only need about 5. Something profound may come out of this.
  7. Which is why Elon Musk is now a world power.
  8. Around here there is no need to troll. He catches all the fish he wants still fishing.
  9. Canada has a large and fast growing immigrant population from most of the countries you have named. The coalition group called the "Liberal Party of Canada" that currently and most often holds power needs these groups and those groups are an active part of that coalition. If the Prime Minister did not call out India on this he would have been accused of covering it up. In the same way that he has faced a massive amount of criticism for inaction regarding Chinese attempts to leverage expats to influence elections. Both Modi and Trudeau are bound by domestic political considerations.

Like most people believe I would suspect about 8 years after he was born is the best time of his life.
  11. Most won't ever read them. Just the headline please....
  12. It's a regular three ring circus.
  13. India seems to have considered him a "terrorist". I have seen no evidence of anything to justify that.
  14. I've been reading that it is also quite active in Great Britain.
  15. The last time they tried to impeach a sitting president it damaged their brand. And they actually had some beef in the bun that time. McCarthy couldn't resist, but I'm sure he wishes he could have.
  16. It works if you take the third E out. But there is nothing there but a bunch of gamer vids.
  17. Next will be Winsor with his standard "they are all equally crooked" bullshit.
  18. The man was doing business with people in China. Like thousands of Americans do. Nothing was clandestine about the transactions. At the time his dad's address was also on his drivers license. Where's the beef? Oh, another case of huffing and puffing trying to create innuendo over nothing. As usual. Money changing hands is not illegal or immoral.
  19. That's not really what I was trying to do. I was just pointing out the contradiction in your statement about executive pay not being relevant because shareholders pay it. I generally am supportive of labour rights but I do not have strong opinions about this particular fight as I have not studied the issues. I suspect both sides are being quite greedy and that a compromise will be reached.
  20. Maybe the deniers are right. Climate change is inevitable no matter what we do. So let's just keep the party going. https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/26/world/supercontinent-earth-intl-scli-climate-scn/index.html
  21. Yes, shareholders pay executives to manage the company and to increase profits. One of the ways to increase profits is to hold down labour expenses which puts more money into the pockets of the shareholders. There does not need to be a direct link in the chain of command to understand who pays the workers. Do you need further explanation?
  22. What kind of doublespeak is that? The shareholders also pay the workers, or didn't you know that?
  23. The right wing intelligentsia always suffers from the slings and arrows of the soft headed liberal elites. Just ask the Dotard.
