The man was doing business with people in China. Like thousands of Americans do. Nothing was clandestine about the transactions. At the time his dad's address was also on his drivers license. That's not really what I was trying to do. I was just pointing out the contradiction in your statement about executive pay not being relevant because shareholders pay it. I generally am supportive of labour rights but I do not have strong opinions about this particular fight as I have not studied the issues. I suspect both sides are being quite greedy and that a compromise will be reached.

Yes, shareholders pay executives to manage the company and to increase profits. One of the ways to increase profits is to hold down labour expenses which puts more money into the pockets of the shareholders. There does not need to be a direct link in the chain of command to understand who pays the workers. Do you need further explanation?

I'll just get the flu shot this time around. After 3 1/2 years of avoiding the virus it finally found me on the Labour Day weekend. And I even gave it to my wife before I realized I had it. We both tested positive. I think that gives me the highly sought after "hybrid immunity" for the rest of the season.

Yes, that's true. Some will not want to be bothered. That is pretty much what happened here in the 90s when the CARs came out and included skydive operators. I can't be bothered is not the same as cost of compliance. Some DZOs will close. No markets will be abandoned. If fishing is all you have left I hope you enjoy your dotage.
