    I think that POTUS is such a unique job that no one can be fully prepared or trained for it. The job calls for such a blend of intelligence, judgement, political skills, management skill, being an icon and symbol, leader within an organization and through media to the country and even the world, and a host of skills and qualities that no one person could excel at all of them. A successful business person has as good a chance of being a successful POTUS as any other highly motivated skilled leader. I'll admit there are almost always some isolated wackos out there who will ambush a cop, but it doesn't seem to be true that there is any coordinated or systemic issue stemming from the BLM movement to do so. And, there is no reason to believe the Obama administration is legitimizing any form of violence against cops. That is utter nonsense and fear mongering. How is that any excuse for deliberately suppressing voters? The right wingers have proven over and over again that they will do anything they legally can get away with to discourage classes of people likely to vote against them.     My biggest concern with socialized medicine is very different, and based on what really happens. Namely, that when the government pays then they must somehow finance it. Which means taxes. People resist taxes. They would rather pay insurance than taxes, even if the taxes are less. It just feels better. So what ends up happening is that the health care system gets squeezed and is always short of cash to do the huge job. I know. It's the opposite of what people think will happen.They think the system will just keep spending more and more. Well, it would if it could, but the health care system can't directly tax anyone. And the politicians want to be re-elected, so believe it or not the system starves. So far I have seen no sign of the government enforcing healthy living habits on anyone.
