It is not hard to understand, it’s rather simple. They like his policies better than those of any alternatives. It’s not like they actually have to personally interact with the man.

I was just informed of a price increase on a European made AAD that is being blamed on the 10% tariff being imposed on imports into the USA. Of course I am in Canada, but the distributor of the product is in the US. I will be exploring the possibility of bypassing the North American distributor, or perhaps direct shipping to Canada.

One of the strengths (which can also be seen as a weakness) of USA politics is the fact that there is no federally controlled electoral system. It would be hard for a POTUS to stop or control 50 independent state systems like Marcos, or Putin.

Pretty much had to. There was nothing you or Nancy or Chuck really could have done. The man was still strong enough to be stubborn and the only real argument was that he could not last four years. Just like with RBG stubborn pride screwed the nation and it is only themselves that are to blame. Actually Biden should not have been nominated in 2019 either. And that is where the party went wrong.

I can remember doing so. Actually I remember that many people knew that all along. But once it became clear that he was going to run anyway everyone just grabbed onto the thin straw of hope that it would work out. Politicians are vain by nature. You have to be to go through what they must. Biden is no different.

I think you are missing the fact that most on the right are believers who do indeed know for sure that their policies are best for their society. Most of them are sincere. Which is why they also believe that the ends justify the means.

Most films can be made anywhere. So many are made in locations that give financial incentives to film makers, as you know. The real question is do you want to force film production to be only in the US for those being shown in the US market? The international market is actually now larger than the US market and most revenue for the big budget productions comes from outside of the US. Or, do you want a tariff war on films that fragments the market and forces less expensive productions to be the only ones made.
