    I get the same reaction from Canadian USPA members who don't want to buy a CSPA membership to jump at our DZ. We honour USPA memberships for American visitors, but if you are Canadian and want to jump at a CSPA DZ you will need to buy a CSPA membership. No sympathy for you at all. You do not have a right to a jump ticket anywhere you want. Buy your own airplane, start your own DZ, or go to Lodi or another non USPA DZ. My DZ, my airplane, my legal risks, my rules.     Dude, calm down. There is no rule saying DZs have to belong to USPA. Go ahead and open your own non USPA DZ. Take 12 YOs on tandems. USPA will not bother you about it. Others may though...... Good luck with the US legal system if a minor gets hurt on your DZ. The waiver they, or even their parents sign will be invalid.     I pretty much 100% agree with you about the Skyhook. But not quite on this: I have been injured by reserve line twists. I walk with a limp from the broken heel that I got landing a 5 cell Swift on the tarmac with the brakes still set because the canopy was still in line twists. It opened at about 200 feet. About 20 years ago. My talus joint is now full of arthritis. If I had Skyhook on that jump I do believe I would not have had that particular problem and I would not need my special orthopedic shoes. With O2 in the atmosphere being only 20% I can't see how sticking that little tube in your face or even under you helmet is going to make much difference. Is it just compressed air, or is it higher in O2 than that?     The best thing that asshole has done so far is just be himself and act like a total jerk. It keeps him from being effective at pursuing his American Idiot agenda. In the meantime here in Canada our PM has decided that appeasing him is not an effective strategy. We are now committed to waiting out the storm. Trump is not going to be there too long at this rate.     Search the incidents forum for examples of people dying because of an RSL being used. I'll bet you can't find one. However, several highly experienced jumpers have died from low cutaways who may have lived with an RSL, and especially a MARD. The only discipline that should not use one is CRW. This whole article is not a good examination of the issue. It is nothing but a bunch of opinions and anecdotes with no data at all. It serves only to stir the pot.

    Why bother? It's not that they don't believe you. They don't care. Their restraint systems are life limited because of UV exposure as well. It's aviation and they accept the expense.
