Yes, I agree with all of that. Just don't blame it on alarmists!

The ethanol for fuel business in the US, and Brazil, has nothing to do with carbon emissions and everything to do with past fuel shortages.

I NEVER eat at truck stops. I have a fridge with a freezer and a type of slow cooker. I eat large amounts of fresh fruit and I tend to cook frozen vegetables. I brew my own coffee. The only reason to even pull into a truck stop is to get fuel. I only sleep at them if I'm in an unfamiliar area and I can't find a quieter place. The vaping culture will not go away, but it can be regulated.

The recent deaths have drawn attention to vaping. They may have been an impetus, but they are not an "excuse". Your use of that word is just your way of denigrating regulations that you are philosophically opposed to. Your scare mongering that it will lead to more damage through experimentation is ridiculous.
-
This is incorrect. The jurisdictions that are banning, or working toward banning flavoured vape juice are not confused about the cause of those recent deaths. They are banning favours to lessen the appeal to children. The same reason flavoured cigs are being banned.

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

I for one do not suffer fools gladly. -
And every other country.

I have seen a person taking the TI rating course there who also had a lazy uncommitted Tandem Examiner who did a very poor job. It was arranged through their tandem division. I was very surprised that they allowed such people to work there. I guess nowhere is perfect all the time, but SDAZ is usually top drawer.

Bullshit. No one ever told you any of those things. Why are you being such a drama queen? -
That's no stupider than the Bush team reaction to 9/11. And exactly what Iran is trying to do. Provoke America into stupid behaviors to unite the Islam world against the west. Just as Bin Laden did so successfully. The only difference is that despite all the bullshit tweets escalation actually goes against Trump's instincts. Keeping America from wasting it's resources in foreign adventures is the one good thing about Trumpism.
-
In the meantime, how much money did Iran spend to get their proxies to disrupt the world's oil supply a couple days ago? That's a lot of "fuck you" bang for the buck right there.

Teacher I am fully aware of the rules, everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school.

This is why I support suppressing, but not banning vaping. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/12/health/vaping-detectors-school-trnd/index.html

Go for it. It will definitely make you a better man.

Don't worry yourself about it. You'll be fine. -

The "bury our heads in and sand and leave the problem for our grand children" crowd are so delightful. -
That puts you in the one category of vape users who are better off vaping than not vaping. Nicotine withdrawal can also be managed by gum and patches. There is not a definitive answer to the question of how harmful vaping is. But given that our lungs are not designed to cope with vaping, are quite sensitive, and are very good at transferring many chemicals into our bloodstream it is extremely unlikely that it is harmless. If I were in charge of it you would require an Rx to get your medication. This would make it more restrictive and less likely for children to become nicotine addicted. I would also restrict your ability to vape in common areas. Partly to protect others from the clouds and partly to keep it where children don't see it.

So, no one said capitalism was to blame. Kallend made the point that it was fueled by capitalism. The source of funding was only one of many factors.

That completely misses the fact that heating these substances changes them. It also ignores the fact that different people and companies add things to their juice. Asthma inhalers are prescription medications and are indeed known to have bad side effects in some people. They are only allowed because their therapeutic value for some people is greater than their potential harm. It only took a little quick research to find that propylene glycol is a potent contact allergen for some people. I am going to assume that you are a user and therefore feel a need to defend vaping. I'd advise you to give up both vaping and defending it. Especially defending it as it is not defensible. And exposing other people to it is completely indefensible. It is roughly the same as a smoker defending smoking. You are likely addicted and your addiction is clouding your judgement. I am coming at this from the point of view of a man who smoked for 25 years before quitting roughly 15 years ago. Two packs a day. In a closed car with both my wife and myself filling the cabin containing my two helpless children with smoke. One of my most shameful actions. Far worse than what you are doing.
-
Inhaling foreign substances is bad for you until proven differently. It's not up to non-users to prove anything.
-
It's not practical to ban smoking. Instead we regulate it and work hard to discourage it. Same as we should for vaping.
-
Well... it is stupid. But it's also highly restricted. Mostly by the cost. It is also not sold to children. (mostly) But the main difference is that there is a good reason for jumping. There is no good reason for vaping.

The Soviets were attacked by Nazis fueled by capitalists. The professor is schooling you. Again.
