I'm not sure that it can be a religion if it is non-theistic. Just looking at the standard dictionary meaning of the words theist and religion that is.

So Aesop's fables would work just as well? Stories and moral lessons have gone together for as long as there has been a campfire to sit around and tell them while keeping the wolves at bay. You just don't need a god to have morals. And the god of The Bible is an altogether immoral creature himself.

Everybody lands better on a Sabre 2. It's because they are designed in such a way that they are easy to get a soft landing. That is why they hold their value used better than any other canopy. There is a very high demand for them.

You think that fear of Hell is a good foundation for morality? I would argue that it is not. For if you are convinced you are going to be damned anyway you would have nothing to lose. And the world is full of people who know they are not good enough. And to get back to the topic of the thread, some of these people think that WWIII is a good thing because it would be part of the end times. Religion is a scam that developed along with government and organization. It's not necessary, but it does go hand in hand.

This question will get you different opinions from different people. This is mine. As long as you are reasonably competent on the 230 and have not developed bad habits you will be fine. You will notice a fairly significant increase in the responsiveness of the canopy to your inputs and you will also find that you will need to up your game a little on timing your flare. Mostly you will enjoy the change.

I too figured out that it was a lie at age nine.

You sure do love drama don't you? Have you ever posted anything here that was not critical of a DZ or person? Seriously, if you have real and verifiable information about a serious violation why don't you just post the details and name names. Otherwise you are just making noise.

No one puts Billy Baby in a box. Especially a green one, that's cruel.

Yes, this is where I always use the +/- .25 inch on the plus side. I've found that 1.5 inch is not quite enough to hold, but an extra 1/4 goes a long way. Even so, in the student size Reflex we were using the cap would still need to be tightened at least once a season. I'm not sure that you can do it on a smaller one though.

The dimensions are not in the manual. But there is a note in it that they must be made pretty exactly. Better instructions are in the attached HTML file. Reflexclosingloop.htm

Here is the drawing with the dimensions.

An amusing thought I just had about you and other "Christians" is that your belief in an afterlife and savior is something you wear "just in case it's true".

It does make you no better than a racist.

Most Trump supporters will deny being racists. But they are willing to tolerate racist behavior and don't see a problem with that. How is that different from being racist? Racist is as racist does.

The US economy is already showing clear signs of going into at least a moderate decline within the next year. Trump's chaos is coming home to roost soon. I normally don't credit or blame the POTUS for the business cycle, but the coming troubles are going to be clearly traced to his policies. Which is kind of amazing given the advantages the US economy has in the age of fracking.

All your basic 9 cell regular ZP canopies pack fairly big, especially if they are newer. Pretty much any container that is built to fit a 150 as it's best fit will be fine with a 135 9 cell. If you are talking about a container that is built for a 170 and you currently have a 150 in it then you are probably at the down sizing limit. Do you already have a rig or are you asking because you are deciding what to order?

What Mark said. I would also say “good work” for being one of the few jumpers who actually inspect their gear properly.

Can You Install a Skyhook Into any Rig? How?
gowlerk replied to Bkleven7's topic in Gear and Rigging
Yes, if your Vortex was made in the last few years it will have the necessary Skyhook sub flap built into it. The parts you need will probably cost about $200 USD. You would need to order it either directly from PS, or from a dealer. Non standard simply means it is optional and costs extra. -
Unfortunately it's very hard to know how well it will fit until you try it on. Even then you need to know what to look for. A miss-fit can range from a serious problem to a minor inconvenience. Only large ones become unsafe, as long as it's reasonable it will work. A bad fit can hinder you in some type of flying but not be a problem with other types. As others have said a re-size can usually be done, but not everything can be changed and used gear may or may not be worth the cost.

Can You Install a Skyhook Into any Rig? How?
gowlerk replied to Bkleven7's topic in Gear and Rigging
The realistic answer is no. Only rigs that are set up for a Skyhook when they’re made can get one. Other MARDS by other manufacturers can sometimes be installed afterward, some of them fairly easily. You need to check with the maker of the container for a final answer.
