Yes, even then the US will continue to lead and drive the world economy. Maybe even more so.
-
I’m still clear that the US economy is and will continue to lead the world. Even Trump won’t change that.

A period of recession is likely. The exact timing is not known. It will bring the drop in interest rates you are speaking of. At a historical level the current rates are not particularly high.
-
Mostly the consumer confidence numbers being reported and the slowdown in hiring. Spending is slowing the last time I checked. However if it does come it may not be until after the election.
-
Or more likely it becomes clear by fall that the US has fallen into a recession.

Slowest start to Atlantic hurricane season…

Paying your CC off every month is only for people who understand math. -
Every damned car I buy some government forces me to buy seatbelts and airbags and emission controls and headlights and a long never ending list of stuff that I would never spend my money on if they didn’t make me.

I generally check one AAD against another AAD. If there was a difference beyond the spec then I would find a third one to see which one was bad. But that has never happened so far.

If he does he will become one of the biggest failures as POTUS in history. And Trump will likely become one of the most important ever. But not in a good way.

I’m of the opinion that many of these goals are unreachable and will fall by the wayside.

Maybe where you live. In my part of the world the service entrance and main come overhead to a mast on the highest part of the house and go through a conduit to a panel often in a basement. I guess you may be used to attached garages and service lines underground.

Their business model is to develop you into a client who depends on them and schedules regular treatments. Preferably for life. A qualified physiotherapist gives you a treatment plan designed to help you move along. The ones I know personally are also antivaxxers and see real doctors and medical practitioners as enemies.

Disagree. Strongly.

I have relatives who won’t go to “that shithole country” anymore.

The neo-cons sure did a number on your nation. The hubris is hard to believe.

Sigh….. the answer is yes. Get one.

Agreed. If Biden were to resign as POTUS she would get the job for the remainder of his term. If he drops out as a contender for the nomination then she is still his VP, but that is all she is. She was his choice and she goes down with him when he drops out.

Biden, Ginsberg? No one seems to be able to tell powerful people it's time to go. Like I said earlier, if the D party foists this choice upon the nation then it deserves the result it will inevitably see.

I've seen plenty of fast paced Trump blooper type edits. They are funny and the make him look like the buffoon he is. Biden edits show something a little more sad. I don't envy America its choice. Happy 4th!

I was struck by the refusal of the DoJ to release the tapes of the interviews. Probably because Biden sounds very old and confused in them.

How hard can you buck the trend? UK moves hard to the left in a huge landslide!

Does the special prosecutor's report begin to make sense now? https://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/the-impossible-role-of-robert-hur Hur’s report stated that his investigation “uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice-presidency when he was a private citizen.” Yet Hur concluded that “the evidence does not establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.” He reasoned that “at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” In Hur’s view, “it would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him—by then a former president well into his eighties—of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

Pump up the stock? Didn’t he have a little trouble with the SEC over that?
-
There is also little to no reason for it. Voter fraud is a difficult and low reward activity with a fairly high penalty attached.

Just in. Biden thinks this will help to restore confidence in him. I shit you not. Biden tells Democratic governors he needs more sleep and plans to stop scheduling events after 8 p.m. https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/04/politics/biden-governors-sleep/index.html
