What is your point? It’s hard to tell if you’re just being a troll or if you have something to say.

trump to Ease Restrictions and FOX News Agrees
gowlerk replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
Your fascination with a reaction to trump is noted. It shouldn’t take coronavirus to see that Trump is evil. Evil is evil does, and he has done a lifetime of evil. But I’m not sure why you hijacked his post in order to talk about Trump -
trump to Ease Restrictions and FOX News Agrees

I am somewhat amused to hear people talking about going back to normal to ease the economic pain. Obviously those people don’t have family working in healthcare. They also don’t seem to grasp what the panic that will go through the population if this thing is just allowed to run rampant will do to the economy. Just biting the bullet and getting it over with is not a realistic strategy for limiting the damage. The damage will be worse in the end. -
And it’s 100% completely irrelevant. What is relevant is not your chances of dying, it’s how likely you are to give it to someone else. I wish people would just fucking grow up.

China 'willfully inflicted coronavirus upon the world'
gowlerk replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
Race baiting by your POTUS was not enough. Now you need to start a race baiting thread here? Did you really need to do that? I'm struggling not to drop my opinion of you by 4 or 5 places. -
What would make me "feel good" is this surreal period to end. There is nothing "feel good" about the situation. It feels horrible to see the moral decline of the USA under it's current POTUS. Leadership matters.

I think that the tech industry is full of arrogant engineers who think AI will be able to power autonomous vehicles. Maybe someday, but the level of complexity that will need to be dealt with to cover the unknown unknown situations, coupled with the breakdown rate of electronic components and keeping sensors working properly will cause it to be impractical for large numbers of them to interact with each other safely. Unless the level of traffic changes what would happen is a small number of failures leading to massive gridlock and few but memorable accidents. Computers can only assist drivers they can not replace them except possibly on dedicated roads. Which is where the low hanging fruit should be picked first. They have not managed to create AI planes or trains yet. Those are both far simpler problems. The 3 pounds of grey matter in our heads is an imperfect control unit. But far more able than any machine ever built yet.

Or, are you just plain stubborn as a mule?

You didn't really read what I said.

Trump has earned the hate. But hating him or loving him will have no impact on the course of this event at all. They are not related in any way.
-
Ya, they're almost as crooked as R senators.

Depending on how long the delay is there could be a currency plan put in place. I am hoping to be able to do staff training jumps on a limited basis and to keep at least one aircraft flying for pilot recurrency. But it will not be easy if there is no revenue source.

There is practical reality to consider. Do you have a better solution?
-
Yes, that is true. And that error led to the Ayatollah coming to power. Iran had a democracy, and it probably still would. But it wanted to nationalize its oil industry. That was not to be tolerated, so the British talked the Americans into overthrowing the democratic government and installing the Shah. This led step by error filled step to where we are today.

Excellent. Trump will invoke it and use it to provide funds for a wall to keep the virus from pouring across the southern border. But more seriously, this Act looks like a tool designed to help a state or region get Federal help in an emergency. I could be a valid tool, I don't know. But I will point out that this is an event that will affect the whole nation. The Federal Government is likely to be spread pretty thinly. Everyone is going to be competing for the same resources. In most disasters a state can usually count on its neighbours for some support. This is going to be a different matter.

The CIA put the Ayatollah in power.

Shelter in place? That's for the little people.

"Chinese Flu" is race baiting. "Trump pandemic" is political posturing. Like "lock her up". If you can't see the difference I would say it's likely because you have pulled your head into your shell and are refusing to look. As usual. -
We all do.

Wrong thread. Please ;leave the race baiting for the race baiting thread. -
She sent it here to punish America. It’s always about America. She is offended by Trumpism.

Nonetheless, he has been trying: Bill Gates Last year they donated an estimated $4.78 billion. Overall, though, the Gates have given a total of $45.5 billion through their foundation and other family foundations, dating back to 1994, the Chronicle of Philanthropy notes.

But I'm hearing we can not sustain that much longer due to the same shortages.

Do you really think the people you are addressing care even a little? Hell, most of the will see this as a good thing.
