The Cooper thread was allowed back in as an attempt to regain lost usership and generate traffic to the site. Why it got put under Skydiving History & Trivia is beyond me. It is neither. It should have it's own forum to make it easier to ignore.

My feeling is that simple misogyny made it easier for the talk show hosts to paint her as evil over a period of many years. A very pushy woman. You know, the worst kind. They spent years making her a target and using her as one of the enemies they love to hate. And it worked very well. On top of that is the simple fact that she lacks the charisma that any politician needs to be successful at that level.

The whole enterprise is not legit. It has always been unofficial. That's the whole point. All these clowns have done is to add an extra layer of foolishness to an already outlaw activity. These guys probably did not need to go quite that fast in the present conditions. They are actually safer and more responsible than the current "record holders". ALL OF THESE GUYS SHOULD BE IN JAIL. -
Trump and his supporters will continue to tell the world that he is a hero who saved America. They will obfuscate and try to argue about what happened when. It will work for those who want it to work. But in the meantime America is leading the world in bad news from the event. And that will continue because without good leadership small numbers of people who think the economy can be "saved" will be allowed to undermine the efforts of those who are working for the public good. Which will backfire and cause even more damage. The situation could have been written by Joseph Heller.

I don't like Joe very much, so I'm biased. If this allegation turns out to be credible, and there is strong indication it will, it will and should be very damaging to Joe. But if a damaged Joe means Bernie I would go with Joe. Good luck America. -

I heard the mayor of NY interviewed yesterday. De Blasio was asked about the late response in NYC and if he had any regrets or would do anything differently. Pure politician, may as well be Trump. Well.....actually no. I do make money as a rigger and doing tandems. But no one in our ownership group is expecting to make money on it. We are hoping not to lose any. But that aside, I work to make money. And I see nothing wrong with making money, it is a necessary part of living a successful life. "The Left" is not against people making money. But it is aghast at some of the excesses of unchecked capitalism.
