  1. Pentagon: Bush military records destroyed http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/apwashington_story.asp?category=1151&slug=Bush%20Military%20Service I just had to post this... how ironic that the piece of microfilm that was not backed up, was destroyed, and contained Bush's "payroll information" Ha Ha Ha
  2. I don't know what you mean? Do you mean if He was more specific with his information what would I do? or do you mean "you" more as a generalization? Regardless of what they are saying, unless they say when and where, I'm going to keep on going to work everyday, and go to the dropzone every weekend... Is that what you're asking me?
  3. I know that this can be easy disputed by those who believe that Saddam was really a threat when we went into Iraq, but here's my thoughts anyway... I think that the UN was actively enforcing it's resolutions... There were economic sanctions on Iraq, and there were weapons inspectors in Iraq searching for banned weapons, and WMD programs. The UN uses force as an absolute last resort, and I think that it's safe to say that without the US's pushiness, the UN would not have seen that point in time as an appropriate time to militarily go into Iraq... They wouldn't have been able to have unanimous support from the 5 main members. There was and still is no clear threat that Saddam had any intention of attacking any other countries, nor using any banned WMDs. That's why the UN wasn't pushing for an attack. Before anyone says it, I would also like to say that's it's ridiculous to think that the Oil for food scandal had anything to do with that decision. The UN was using non military means to "enforce its orders"... without any clear connection to 9/11, what made their decision to not rally up an international force and enter Iraq so wrong? I mean, representatives from around the world voted and did not feel it was appropriate! It's not like the UN is a private organization... it's made up of members of the global community. I know I just opened a whole can of worms... drew
  4. he's going to quote a website since he hasn't seen the movie...
  5. I had pretty much assumed at this point that Al-Queda has been moving forward with plans for a large scale "attack" this whole time... Good thing Tom Ridge is here to make that announcement, with no specific intelligence about anything at all... not even any "increased chatter" this time... Guess we'll all just keep on going on with our regular routines.

  7. Wow, this is a low point for Kennedy... it's just a comic, broh' Just because you disagree doesn't mean that you should insult someone.
  8. There is literaLLY NO proof that he kept them, yet that doesn't seem to make their justification for war less convincing. Heck, it's only been a year and 89 days since we first attacked Iraq and we still haven't found them, the UN inspectors never saw any evidence that there were programs, the US inspectors have left Iraq without finding them, and now Tony Blair says we probably won't find them... Bush won't say a word about it before the election as it will surely sway votes from him in November. There's no arguement against the war being unjust...
  9. how's about me you and ian try to get together for some 3-way action... In the tunnel, bi-atch!!! Seriously, let's make it happen
  10. nice vid, Ian... Good to see you turning 180 before the track Hopefully we'll see you for the fest.
  11. I have a tough time imagining that when the US is apparently under attack, or there's a major catastrophe, that the protocol is for him to remain seated and after at least 5 minutes politely excuse himself from where ever he is. IMO---> I think the whole discussion is a little stupid (It's a silly point by Moore, who's work I enjoy, and an endless discussion of speculation of what is or isn't an appropriate response by someone we don't understand in a situation we had never been in before)... I, personally, didn't freak out when I first heard what happened. It took a little while to understand what exactly was happening. I didn't fathom the extent of it until I saw people jumping out of the windows, the 3rd and 4th planes crashed, and the 1st building went down. I'm sure that when the president saw replay of the airplanes hitting the buildings, the people jumping of the building, running down the streets, and the building going down that he reacted appropriatley... And I don't even like the guy! There's so many other valid points to discuss.
  12. I just read that Edwards has only served one term in the senate and has next to no other significant political experience... It doesn't sound exactly ideal when considering the next pair to lead the country... But, he is against tax cuts for the super rich, he doesn't believe in a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, instead leaving the decision up to individual states, and he wants to protect the right for "women to choose" and put their privacy and health ahead of politics. I'm all about that. So IMO there are definitely some Pro's and Con's to Kerry's decision. Hmmmmm.
  13. I don't know enough about Edwards to form a solid opinion, so I'm wondering what people who oppose Bush's re-election think of Kerry's choice for VP? Right wingers should respond to the thread started by the Anvil... Let's keep this thread constructive, ok?
  14. Cheney must not read terrorism reports, nor the news... The scary thing is that the people who hear it from Cheney probably believe it! HA! He should say, " I know it's been a year and 82 days since we attacked Iraq on the basis of their possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and because we will not admit that those reports were completely inaccurate, we should assume that the world is much, much safer because we literally have no idea where all those stockpiles of Weapons of Mass Destruction have ended up. Even though most of the world resents the bush administration, and Bin Laden is still at large, and the population of the USA is entirely split on their support of the direction we've taken in the war on terror, we are much much safer than we have ever been. And if you wanna question the bubble that i live under, shut the F*ck up!". Cheney is a very funny guy!
  15. You shoudl check out the keynote... It's pretty awesome.
  16. You're totally right... Mindless Sheep... Must be uneducated! For a second there I thought your posts weren't constructive or objective, and that you hadn't seen the movie, but I stand corrected! Clearly constructive and objective, and you must have seen the Movie/Documentary/Propaganda to have such insite into it's content! Don't include me in your "We"... "We" don't all agree with you. Sometimes I think the mindless Sheep are the ones running around pointing fingers at other people calling them Mindless Sheep!
  17. Those are some dope pics...
  18. I was unaware that Saddam had said he was going to attack the US...Congress approved the war in the wake of 9/11... They believed, god knows why, that Iraq did in fact pose an immediate threat, and that it was some how directly linked to Al-Queda and the "war on terror"... The UN approved it because the US and the security council passed the resolution saying that Saddam had to account for all the weapons, which he didn't. Powell went in front of them and talked some serious shit (even he has since admitted the intel was all false), as did Bush and the there you go. No one vetoed the use of force. But was it a UN backed international armed force, or was it the US and all the countries they promised part of the prize to? And is Iraq no longer a breeding ground for terrorism? Are they no longer harboring terrorists? Are we really safer as a result of this conflict? What impact has the last year and months had on our nations safety? A year and 71 days have passed and still no sign of any Weapons of Mass Destructions. It's super easy to point fingers and call names, generalize, and categorize, but the fact of the matter is that there is a growing number of people on this planet who are growing more and more skeptical about the decisions this administration has made... and i think it's safe to assume that most of us don't feel any safer as a result of this conflict.
  19. Why does is seem so clear as day that there wasn't a Weapons program in effect, there wasn't a grave threat, tons of resources have been wasted, and the administration told untruths to the American people. If I didn't know that this was all about oil and about the US relocating it's middle eastern military bases to Iraq, I would be really puzzled as to what exactly was going on here. It seems clear as day!
  20. That's exactly what i was saying about the larger size stilletos... so many people jump the stilleto because it has incredibly ideal flight characteristics, unbelievable openings and, for some time, was the highest performance canopy available... It's definitely an appropriate canopy to follow a sabre, but only for the right type of canopy pilot, with the right amount of experience. From the PD Website: "Since its release, the Stiletto has become the most sought after high performance "elliptical" nine cell canopy in the world... Whether it's the soft openings, responsiveness, extremely fast rate of turn, flat glide, or incredible landing capabilities, the Stiletto is the canopy of choice for those pilots who have taken the time (and jumps) to hone their piloting skill. The Stiletto has been the canopy flown by more national and world champions than any other canopy in the world. From formation skydiving to free flying, Blade Running™ to skysurfing the Stiletto has become the canopy of choice for pilots who desire a canopy that performs as well after opening as they perform in free fall. The Stiletto is that canopy. If you are ready for the transition from what you currently fly, to the canopy regarded as the premiere high performance elliptical in the world...the Stiletto is ready for you." PD Stilleto Page
