Who ever flies the furthest gets some scholarship for flight school from red bull... or something like that. I was at Flugtag NY last year and it was wicked cool. They open it with the Red Bull Swoop team http://www.redbullflugtagusa.com/ http://www.redbullairforce.com/ (I bet the Billionaires for Bush thing was a total gag, judging by the scarcasm of the signs... seriously, Cheney is innocent?)

They did... and it's in the news

If you can see abover him, and his air space is clear, you give him the pull sign, which is to point at him (just like AFF)... Most people on bigger track jumps will understand what it is you're doing. Also, when you break off from a track jump, your vertical speed is quite slow compared to a regular FF jump, so you do have a couple "extra" seconds to get your own space. On a side note, if you have someone right above you when you break off from a track jump, chances are that one of you didn't leave in the right direction. Tal kit up with the person who organized the track jump and see if you turned the correct angle away from the leader... If that's something that they didn't mention during the dirt dive, or don't know what it is you're talking about, then I would suggest not tracking with them again because the jump was not set up as as safe as it could have been right from the dirt dive! Have fun

When was that? are you talking about 30 years ago or last week? Specifics here... You keep on saying he's a liar and I honestly doin't know what you're referring to. So how about it... Enlighten me... Do you label Bush as a liar also? Or is it only Kerry?
-
What exactly are you referring to here... I see you writing about Kerry the liar all the time, but I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. Is this somehing from Vietnam or something?

err, aahhhh, ummmmm.... Clinton!

The parts that I quoted were so ridiculous that i can't take an article like that seriously, nor the people who are saying it... Perhaps thats why people are ignoring it? I have a tough time labeling that wit. "See you in 35 years"... Ha ha ha... silence

Initiate the barrel roll with your head, shoulders, arms, torso and legs... Try slowing down first, and taking your time to do the barrel roll... What's important is that you check your air space and then deploy, not barrel roll, then slow down, then deploy... Besides, when you slow down before you barrel roll, you'll be more stable when you come out of the barrel roll, and have a more stable deployment sequence. It is imperative that you barrel roll on every track jump that you participate on, and you should get into the habit of doing it on every skydive that you are on, regardless of it's angle of descent.

Nice objective commentary... "...creating phony film footage of his exploits with a home-movie camera, and recommending himself for medals and Purple Hearts in vainglorious reports he wrote himself. (This was apparently before the concept of "fragging" put limits on such behavior.) After three months of combat, Kerry had collected enough film footage for his political campaigns, so he went home. He even shot three different endings to the episode where he chases down a VC guy after test audiences thought Kerry shooting a wounded teenager in the back was too much of a "downer." After filming his last staged exploit, Kerry reportedly told a buddy, "That's a wrap. See you at the convention in about 35 years." It's that a direct quote from kerry, or is that paraphrased? You gotta love articles that mention kerry, clinton, and paula jones, and are looked at as objective. Plus, when the advertisement on the side of the article reads "Take 3 Conservative Books for $1 each", it's safe to assume that it's a little politically motivated? Nice article , Vinny

I agree, but I think that what's more important is a freeflyer's ability to react sooner, and not faster (unless I misinterpreted what you're saying). We need to see "it" happening before "it" happens, and not just be able to move and dodge real quick right before a collision... In freeflying, when somone is coming at you, they tend to pick up more and more speed until they put on the brakes, and you don't want to react late to their speed. Being able to dodge quickly isn't the best approach to safety. Awareness, a dive plan, and the ability to communicate effectively in the air will also help you avoid collision type situations. When you see the dive plan go to shit, and everything is about to get real chaotic, put up your hand in a "stop" position... Hold it there until the chaos settles... Even if you just sit there until the end of the skydive waiting. Eventually this will make the skydives much more productive. It's actually really difficult to fly with one hand out and hold your position without moving all over the sky yourself. Take a deep breath, regroup, relax, go on with your skydive.

Allies not in formation on Kerry's exit plan

Nice "slam" attempt... I could have sworn that the CIA has taken the blame for the bad intel leading up to the war in Iraq... maybe it's just me, but wasn't that a big thing in the news a couple of weeks ago? And that's great that you think that going into Iraq was "the best thing to do"... Let me guess... military background, right? There have been around 15,000 civilian and military deaths, tons of money wasted, saturated foreign relations, and the threat from terrorists is greater than ever, and you think it was the best thing to do? Read the news about how completely out of control it is over there lately? Everyone voted to go to War! Don't sit here and blame Kerry for supporting the misguided president. The fact that they focused on Iraq even before the CIA was able to offer any evidence or ties to Iraq leads me to conclude (and many others in the US) that going into Iraq was an immediate objective and obsession of GWB, and not related to the attacks on the WTC, and not the best move for the country, the fight against terrorism, or global stability. I think the world is going to embrace Kerry... In fact, I think that the world opinion of the United States will be much greater as soon as GWB is taken out of office.... It really doesn't matter who replaces him (as far as global opinion is concerned). Obviously morals aren't bad, buddy... What is bad is a President who dictates the future of the United States based on the word of God, whom he believes speaks directly to him. "And you're either with us or against us" -
to add: I know it sounds corny, but you can also start waving your hands at them to try to alert them to how fast they're coming at you. They may be concentrating so much on their position that they don't even realize how fast they're moving. Flail your arms or start kicking your legs and it may snap them out of their trance in time. Have fun!
