Hey Val, I used to do some running, and they say to eat something light but with a lot of protein and some carbs, like a bagel with peanut butter. This is a really good Web site on running and training for races. Has some pretty good forums, too. Skydiving is for cool people only

When I was in junior high, we once dissected these pellets that owls regurgitate after they swallow a mouse whole. It's this little brown oval ball, completely innocuous-looking, but it contains the fur and bones of one complete little mouse. The TSA sucks, doesn't seem to be effective, and we're paying for it. This has got to start going to our federal representatives. Call and write your congressman or congresswoman.
