Joe, If we can get Snowmman to do a tandem, will that take him off WHUFFO status? I'd like to get him to jump at Lodi CA for a bunch of reasons: 1. cheapest tandems in the entire universe, great value 2. he could meet the DZO Bill Dause who many thought was Cooper 3. Bill Dause is a master rigger and knows all about Cooper era gear, Snow could get some questions cleared up. 4. Snow just might get hooked and become one of us. Ckret too. He is either Johnny Utah or James Bond. They jump. To stay credible and in character Ckret needs to jump. The guys most qualified to do what Cooper did are USAF PJs, Pararescue Jumpers. I wonder if Cooper could possibly have been one? Doubtful, but an interesting thought. There was a rescue squadron at Portland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Air_Force_Pararescue 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Just a tiny step away from perfection. Less scrupulous investigators would have said Cooper was McCoy and closed the books batting 1000. I wouldn't have questioned the conclusion at the time. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Is that really true Snowmman? I think we have some solid facts about the parachute gear. I emailed Galen Cook to ask him when his book was coming out. You can find an email address by Googling his name. Who knows, he might answer, but I doubt it. A big welcome back to Sluggo, and to Jo too even though she wasn't gone for more than a second. Relax Jo, this is just an obscure forum. It's like Vegas, what happens here stays here. You could be dishonored, discredited or worshipped here, but so what? It is a microcosm, a grain of sand on a huge beach. I am glad to have you back. I don't share your conviction that Duane was Cooper, but how interesting is a forum where everybody agrees? Welcome back. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Thanks for the kind words Snowmman, but I am not as stable as I appear. I am brain phase locked to Loran C. If they stop broadcasting continuously I will come unhinged. Ckret knows that. Everyone knows that the FBI, FCC, CIA, NSA and USCG collaborate on VLF mind control sigs daily. Whats the frequency Kenneth? Well, in my case it's between 90 and 110 KHz. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

There is a cynical guy on eBay who designs custom mind control signal analysers for that crowd. He used to show up when you'd search under direction finders. It is funny how so many unrelated people can share very similar delusions. I had at least half a dozen criminal defendant clients over the years who sincerely believed that the govt had implanted electronics in their brain to monitor and or control them. Their description of the implant, how it was done and how it affected them were remarkably similar. They were NOT trying for a fake insanity defense either. They really believed it. I guess the UFO abductees also have similar stories, but they probably are influenced by book and web stuff. These defendants were usually homeless/indigent and not part of any organized community of people sharing similar delusions. I wonder how many people have claimed to be Cooper? How many of them really believed it? Still waiting on Ckret and Galen Cook. Promises promises... 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

All true, but how will you choose between whether the exit point selection was foolish/ignorant or experienced/well planned? The old timers at my DZ in the late 60s were talking about night jumps and the dangers of hitting mountains if your spot was off. They said if you can't see lights directly below your exit point that give you some idea of altitude, don't jump. They thought car headlights were good markers because you had an intuitive way of relating to their separation distance to altitude and there wasn't much variation in headlight separation from car to car. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. "Really? This is now, what, the 4th time you have threatened to stop posting?" Jo only promised to stop underlining and bold facing. She can continue to post without breaking any promises. I hope she keeps posting even though I disagree with most of her conclusions. Jo provides the basic fuel of controversy which helps to keep the dialogue alive. Jo wants to convince us that Duane was Cooper or an accomplice and that the FBI has hidden motives that have kept them from examining evidence which corroborates her claims. We try to convince her that she is obsessed, ignores evidence that is contrary to her beliefs and exaggerates or overemphasizes evidence that supports them. So keep on posting Jo. Hell, you can even italicize, boldface and do any other typographical stunts you wish. Nobody has disproved your Duane is Cooper claim, just as you have failed to prove it. Your posts do no harm and the lively controversy they fuel helps to draw Cooper newbies to the forum. Every newbie is a potential case solver, so keep em coming. I didnt know about the real USB toaster, I was just joking. Somewhere back in the 80s I saw a report on C 9 canopy opening forces. It was a govt study and incuded some amazing high speed movie camera footage of C 9 openings including one that destroyed it. The movie was on the Internet for a while, but I can no longer find it. Dan Poynter is the man on canopy data. Google him. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

OK Jo, we are making progress here. You are admitting to the possibility that Cooper and Duane were not the same person. It will take more steps, but you are moving towards a less dogmatic position. I am encouraged. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Come on Georger. With your tech skills you could make Duane or Cooper toast. Jesus toast is like so yesterday. QuoteQuote Is there some way we can program the above as a stock answer to the by-now-familiar broken record of "claims"? p.s. Have you seen my fish?[/reply Orange, I think anyone who can write code could come up with a Jo autoresponder. The real challenge would be to make a Jo autoposter that would take stuff randomly mined from Google and weave it into her Duane is Cooper theme. Bet you Snow and Georger could do it. Your fish? It's the one that got away. Ckret, we are all waiting for the info you teased us about. Galen, you too. Where is that book? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. yes, side door exits in a tailgate plane, but dont ask me why. Maybe some ex Airborne can enlighten us. Looks to me like the FBI is still investigating, at least when new evidence comes to light. That found chute got FBI attention. Anyhow, it wold be great if the forum solved the crime. That would be a first and a good model for solving could cases through public participation. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Budget. The only reason that government does stuff. Cooper is an FBI industry. You have 5 people looking for him and now they need a supervisor and a staff assistant. Office space, webpages... If they had other stuff to do, they'd be doing that. I get the distinct feeling that Ckret is giving us taxpayers a free ride on much of the Cooper investigation. I think it is nights and weekends and doesn't show up on any overtime claim. Wish more fed employees had that kind of work ethic. Am I right Ckret? 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Jo, I think you need to EXPLAIN yourself and your expertise when arguing that it makes perfect sense for Cooper to go back and retrieve a car, but to leave all that money behind. (And remember one of your original arguments why he left the money there was that he did not have a car... ) and she's yet to SPLAIN why the FBI would want to do anything other than solve this old case and why she thinks an ongoing FBI cover up conspiracy is credible, especially in 2008. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. weird. Tina said the same thing to Cooper. (of course, Cooper might have just been bullshitting me about that). Jo, I agree, Snow knows more about jumping than he is letting on. Confirming clues abound. His Whuffo act is a little too slick. Only a jumper could be that perfect a Whuffo if you catch my drift. And speaking of drift, that is no Whuffo analysis that came up with 8 miles. No way Jose'. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

If I had a telephoto lens, would I have photos of you banging Ivana Nizich in Iraq? Or was that Duane Weber? Didn't you see the movie Snow? Johnny Utah (who is really Ckret) was doing TYLER! Shroud line doesn't tangle very badly when you just throw it in a box. Shouldn't be a lot of knots in any line that Cooper left on the plane. Might be a lot of knots in the line that Cooper jumped with, but surely Ckret would tell us if he had that... ??? Wild speculation: knotted line was found on the ground that matched line left on plane. Length is being precisely measured to see if it might be the length removed on the plane. 377 I want to join the Boeing Jump Club. 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. some people have an obsession for such endeavors: Entry for December 21, 2007 My entire life I have had an obsession with knots. I don’t like to tie knots, but I love to disentangle them. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a piece of string wrapped up and over and under itself in a clusterfuck of twists and turns. To follow one end through that maze until the whole thing is laid flat is a challenge that I am always willing to undertake. http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-DHJXQ8A1dKrt.KtWZwUZhwLAJh_rKPw-?cq=1 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Snowmman, You must be an engineer or scientist. You are experienced in the design of experiments. I thought a tunnel bag test would be dispositive but you have given me pause. Where is Sluggo these days? I hope he isn't in Ckrets basement. I eagerly await Ckret's next Cooper news release. Sleepless (because of someone in) Seattle. And what has become of Galen Cook? His book will miss the Christmas season. Georger, good job on the force calcs and estimates. I think the Boeing engineer was flat out wrong about the certain death of Cooper. If he died it was a landing death not an exit death. And, no black eyes from a jet jump w/o goggles. Many including me had googles stripped off doing one of the higher speed DC 9 jet exits. Irritated eys and surrounding tissue, but no bruises. 377 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Anyone else out there like me, a charity case SCR? It was in the mid 70s at Elsinore. Some kind hearted RW geniuses decided to give a kid a break and put him into a star. We exited the DC 3 and all of a sudden people were docking on me. Then, suddenly, I was in a big star. Holy cow! I had only done bad two ways before. I was walking on air after we landed. When I came back to my home DZ with the SCR patch the Sky Gods thought I must have stolen it from someone. Mark 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Did my first tunnel flying recently. Really fun. Would be a perfect venue for testing Cooper money bag ideas. They wont allow anything that could break loose, (they have dings on their turbine blades caused by loose coins) but you could probably rig a test to see if something tied with shroud line could stay closed. They can crank up the speed to simulate jet exit velocities. It is pricey, but when I looked at their electrical panel I understood: over 600KW at higher speeds, about 400KW at 100 mph. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver.
