  1. In this position, it is absolutely imperative that I be able to gather, process and act on information very, very quickly, therefore, I know skydiving would be a great asset. Where it gets iffy about skydiving, is that the company is making a significant investment on the employee and may in turn see it as a risk. I'm starting to think that if put forth in the right light, it may be beneficial and help set me apart from the crowd. I'm still worried about the quiet masses that are against divulging it. 2. I showed my mom the video of my first tandem. The woman freaked the f out. She was just really scared but happy that I was there to show her the video My father was also afraid of skydiving because "it's just like drugs, if you do it once, you just can't stop" My mother now thinks that I'm in a long distance relationship with some "fluzy", since I spend my weekends out of the house Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  3. You should have called the cops on those little thief bastards, a nice long sentence in "Juvy" and a daily dose of beating would have taugh them a lesson Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

  6. It seems to me that by the way you worded your question, other than comfort, the racer has more to overcome than the Vector Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  7. Tenting, while not the most comfortable of accommodations, it its the best way to guarantee, you'll be there for the the first (dummy) load and to be there as the last beer bottle is finished, without having to worry about driving. No time lost Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  8. No worries. I'm not uncomfortable jumping without an RSL. If an option were available, I rather have my nice and new Skyhook hooked up. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  9. How can you tell if a girl from Alabama is a virgin? Ans: If she can run faster than her brothers Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  10. Ok, a couple more of non PC jokes Two gay guys die while having sex. Who goes to heaven first? Ans: The guy in bottom. He already has his shit packed up Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

  12. I got a demo canopy, and after packing, I noticed that the mini risers don't have RSL ring. I think I know the answer but I'll ask the stupid question anyway. Is there a way to connect the RSL (skyhook) if the ring isn't there? Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

  17. If you had a really important interview, for a great new job/parternship, or a postgrad professional school, or whatever, would you mention that you are a skydiver? I'm debating, because it can be seen as positive or negative thing. Negative perceptions: You're crazy, have a death wish, immature, may die or become incapacitated and therefore not worth the investiment, etc Positive perceptions: Meticulous, pays attention to detail, energetic, etc P.S. What are your hobbies or what you do for fun is a possible question and likely to be asked. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  18. Clicky I don't know about stupid, but definately not a smart move Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  19. Make use of this site. I bought my rig, form a dz.com poster (ChrisL), and it jus so happened, he had always used my rigger. He had the gear inspected the reserve repacked just before putting it for sale. My transaction consisted of him at meeting at the DZ, having the rigger, confirm that I had indeed the correct rig, tried it on and gave him the check. The whole thing took 15 min. and I'm still ecstatic about the gear. Since the seller was a DZ.commer, I was able to read most of his previous posts, which gave me an excellent idea of how he had cared for the rig, how well he flew and landed, etc. P.S. ChrisL, if you reading this, thank you again. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  20. I agree. The seller sends the rig for an inspection, and if the inspection goes as expected, the buyer sends the seller the money. Once the money is received, the rigger releases the rig. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  21. Do you smoke cigarettes? Tobacco The other stuff is a whole different poll Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  22. Actually, I'm one of those Bush hatin' liberal types and yeap I'm from the northeast too. I couldn't give a twirling F as to what you as an individual do or do not do. I think that smoking is stupid, ugly, dirty, stinky and expensive. That's why I don't smoke. I just found that skydivers as a group seem to smoke a lot more than the average population (at least around me). Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  23. I'm very surprised by the number of skydivers that smoke. I find it very odd, that these people for the most part are relatively intelligent, educated, and physically fit or at least somewhat active. It's a disgusting , dirty, and expensive habit Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  24. I just tried to stuff a 210 sabre2 into a 190 d-bag. After lots of sweating and a equivalent amount of cursing, the canopy is folded nicely in a plastic bag, waiting for a packer to put it into that motherf'ing d-bag Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
