  1. Morning Jerry, Both sides of the spectrum are responsible for false narratives. One of the issues is copy/pasting stories from other sites and reporting them word for word as their own without vetting it (not unlike what you posted), and 2) getting a story from social media and blowing it out of proportion without vetting it, and 3) the haste to be the first to print without vetting it. In summary; without vetting it.
  2. ". . . are demanding that Tree's and Delisha's remains be returned to them. They want apologies from the universities and an investigation into how the girls' remains were handled." I don't care if they were assholes. 5 of the 11 killed were children. The city and the universities could at least put up a memorial of some kind - for the children. FFS. Children <hangs head in disgust>.
  3. I'm really not sure how to address this. Perhaps it comes from being taught properly and butt slides were frowned upon. According to whom? I used an Icarus 365 and didn't have any problems with it.
  4. My bad. I was agreeing with what Bill was saying to Rich's post (as in not true), not disagreeing with Bill.
  5. Mandy at Skydive Dallas was shorter than most of her tandem students. Can't remember her sliding any of them in.
  6. So, there is a plan. What happened to the whole, "I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat" thing. Now, you guys got all organized and shit? It would explain a lot. :)
  7. I'd need to ask you to paint a verbal picture for me. The student is attached to the TI's harness at the shoulders. If the TI is standing, then the student can't be bent in half. The only way for the student to be bent in half is at the waist with their legs lifted up (The side harness connectors are loosened to max extension).

Two separate instances; I'm talking with fathers with daughters the age of mine. Have you gotten the Vaccine yet? "No. Not sure I'm going to." "Why is that? "Not sure what's in it." Change the subject. Wait a bit. "Hey, my daughter's getting to that age of getting the HPV vaccine; are your daughters going to get it? "YEAH!" "Know what's in it?" Sometimes I get a kick out of that fucked-up look someone gets on their face.
  9. Seriously? I'm really not sure what to say about this. Have we gotten to the point where we can no longer land our canopies on a dime? Just how small will we go, how long will we continue to accept the lack of canopy control that we need to really add an air bag to our ass. We have gotten to the point where we accept that its OK for a tandem Instructor to need this? C'mon. Upsize your canopies and learn to fly them and anything other than the "occasional" butt-slide from a TI is unacceptable. And, don't give me any shit about it. I've done 14 Tandems in a day and not butt-slid one of them.

Simple. We'll convert 'em first, then vaccinate 'em. Why you always got to make shit so hard, Brother?
  11. Not true. He thinks plugging in the Hoover vacuum is a contribution to cleaning the planet.
  12. If you smoke weed; you get high. If you study; you get educated. If you smoke weed while studying; you get highly educated.
  13. Alright. I get where you're coming from. You can have some fajitas.
  14. In your first post - you stated you were still re-habilitating. I would encourage you to make sure it's fully healed. Once injured; the ankle is susceptible to reinjuring fairly easy. I've reinjured mine more than once being a dumb ass. But, you could be a Doctor and I should shut up now. :)
  15. Excellent - have some fun.
  16. Great Advice. I might also add that it should be an no stress, all about me, maybe sunset, slight breeze, Hop-N-Pop. No additional variables.
  17. OK You got my attention. You're opposed to Mail-in voting? Or, is this the IRS/Political Organization satire.
  18. Untrue, Ken. From Justice Scalia in Heller v. DC in post #338: Scalia concluded. “The Constitution leaves the District of Columbia a variety of tools for combating that problem, including some measures regulating handguns. But the enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table.” He explains those positions ARE compatible. Beers on me.
  19. For twenty years in the Army - that was my only way to vote. :)
  20. If you're saying we should do away with the 2nd, then yes, we disagree. If you're saying can better regulate the 2nd, then we're agreeing. Even if we disagree, I still hope to have a beer with you this year.
  21. Jerry, Revising interpretations (regulating) is different than doing away with the 2nd - which is what I believe Biden is saying. If he means less than that; I'd ask him to be more specific. In Heller, the issue was a complete ban on owning handgun weapons. It also stated that the right to bear arms is not unlimited and that guns and gun ownership would continue to be regulated. But, after that - it was like everyone just dropped a hot potato on regulation. Hence, my continuous point on "Well-Regulated."
