Angels are mighty creatures. Glad Dad is OK. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Just draw up a short little agreement of exchange. I; so and so accept X's canopy (insert make, model, S/N here) in exchange for my canopy (insert make, model, S/N here). Both parties agree no additional monies are to be exchanged and the trade constitutes payment in full. Both sign and date it. This has to be one of the wisest statements I've ever heard. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Notice in the first one (From the USPA SIM), the arms are in the groin area since that's where they should be when you flare... The other pictures are of military training in which they don't flare since they're jumping rounds. http://www.uspa.org/publications/SIM/2004SIM/images/PLF2.pdf http://www.nomi.med.navy.mil/STD/ASTCPens/PLF.htm http://herbertholeman.com/para/units/plf.htm http://www.tpub.com/content/parachutes/TM-10-1670-213-10/css/TM-10-1670-213-10_28.htm Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

I love Falcons. Has anyone showed you how to roll the four cells on either side of the center cell tightly and then stuff the rolled cells about 4-6 inches into their respective sides of the exposed center cell? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

You still can. My JM in the early 80's was the same one when I came back into the sport in the 90's. I've done mucho to thank him for helping me both times, but never did the first time. Keith Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

First read this. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=640825;search_string=PLF;#640825 Then go find someone at your DZ whose been to AIrborne School and ask them to follow my outline. I've said it before and I'll say it again....EP's are taught a lot more than PLFs, but you'll use PLF's hundreds more time than you will EP's. Thoughts on tunnel training for a new skydiver?
BIGUN replied to hexadecimal's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
No, it could not. It would enhance and/or accelerate your training. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

It's been my experience that most great stupid human tricks in skydiving have the following two phases: 1) Beer Light's ON!! 2) Here; hold my beer - watch this. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

I thought that way too... then as I got older, my parents got smarter and smarter... Yeah. After I got off my first enlistment at age 20 and came home from Europe, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much my parents had matured and finally understood me.... I kinda balance the checkbook...'cept I round up on everything. At the end of each year, I do a real reconciliation to see how much padding I've accumulated through the year. I also take all my change and throw it in a five gallon water bottle, sprinkled with a few couple of dollars left in the wallet. The checkbook padding and the change throughout the year becomes my Xmas budget. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Sparky's right. It was around the TI's neck and he was blacking out. Videographer was the hero of the day. Bottom line - do not use the drogue to get stable. Get stable first, then pitch the drogue. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Without cabin pressure, mine stopped at 18K on the way up, then picked up at 18K on the way down. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Spilt Slider D-Ring Slider D-ring Lip Slider Differences and recommendations? I know the first one... not sure about the second two. Do you do seminars elsewhere than Raeford? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Make your own? I know a couple of folks who make their own using a spreadsheet and binding it at their local Kinko's. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

My opinion is a little different than most. I don't and won't accept tips. Should one decide to become a student and I their Instructor, I would not want any conflict of interest. I'm more comfortable with a student making a beer run for everyone at the DZ and us sharing information after the light comes on. Just me. Before it gets too close to Christmas and folks start scattering to the four wind Gods. I wanted to tell you Merry Christmas and a very special New Year. It’s been my experience that skydivers don’t do well with endings or memories as much as they do with beginnings. Sunrise loads, the smell of new equipment which can only be overpowered by the smell and incessant whine of an Otter. Once again, I reflect on times lost this year and vow to make up for them the next…, but that seems to be the case each year. I hope to do more, usually wind up just a little short on someone or something. I thank everyone for a most wonderful year of banter, education, frolic and skydiving fun. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

You're kidding me, right? That's just ONE commitment. And it's based on GDP. Not an accident - intent. Ya know, if a war is going on in your country, civilians are going to be a casualty. We'd be mixing apples and oranges on casualties of war in that country versus commitment in the aid of assisting that country with their war. The same as leaving off the 3,000+ killed in one day in NYC. I'm proud of this nation, it's history, it's people - of all creeds and cultures, its constitution of democracy and the constitution of its people. Each year, millions of immigrants seek refuge to become an American. They are proud to become American by choice. I feel sorry for those who are embarrassed or feel like they have to apologize for being American. Feel free not to be an American. I am done with this. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
