  1. So, Tall Guy at 6'9" and 265#, Anthony at 6'4" 250#, Dano at 6' 260# Myself at 6'6" 250# "Bigfall" How tall? That is all. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Same here, Brother. Same here. Hooah. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. Have the TI at your DZ write up his/her step-by-step tandem instruction and translate it. Or, if you need assistance on getting it translated, I can help with that. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. Some build habits, some become complacent. It "could" have been that Instructor's habit is to do a check of threes on the way up and get a pin check prior to exit. 1. Check your gear before loading. 2. Get a pin-check before exit. 3. Maintain a tight closing loop. 4. Better to blow a formation, than blow thru a formation. 5. Learn to track and do it faster, flatter and further than anybody else. 6. Pull time is pull time. 7. Always do a controllability check after opening. 8. Always make your decision at your decision-making altitude - keep it black and white. 9. Check left or right before turning left or right. 10. Wings level at landing. 11. It's better to PLF and be wrong; than not PLF and be wrong. "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong" ...DM Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  6. You can have her, Bro. She's really only 6'5". Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. Everyone has a purpose in life. For some, it's just to be an example of what not to do. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. Sounds as though you provided enough information to allow someone to make an informed decision. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. You might get off a little cheaper and get some third-party testimonials to grow your business by putting out some eats at the DZ on a table with your company name and get some pictures of the feed. All travel/expenses to and from would be deductible. Skydivers remember them what feeds them and will help down the road. You could use it as a photo op to add to your gallery of satisfied customers. Perhaps even an opportunity for pics and textual references to add to the website. My $.02 is to not use the business for skydiving tax deductions, but to grow your business so you can afford to skydive. 10. First mistake... you spend too much time in the house. Go outside and play. PM Dr. Kallend, Winsor or BillVon with a hyperlink to this thread so they can all take a peek at it. I'm sure out of all of them, you're bound to get some guidance. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  12. WooHoo!! PLF's are your friend. What I like about this is... that in the future you will not hesistate to use the PLF. Congratulations on a great chain of good decision making! Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

    I am so 100%...

Oh PUhlease... Rush Hour in Arkansas?!?!?! It was good to meet another .commer last week. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  14. OK. So after I wrote that to Mark last night, I'm laying in bed thinking about it. I was half tempted to jump up and write where I think the communication gap is, but was starting to drift off... What I demonstrate is a between the lines flip through from the Rig up and flip the canopy thru the same way resulting in the twisted lines at the connector links, that are not quickly identified by a standard "Group Check" as the skydiver walks up holding the brake lines and four groups. You and Mark are correct and I apologize. One can undo what I've done if they take the time to unflip correctly. The communication gap was in my focusing on the portion of the original post of The learning point I focus on is demonstrated with my example above; 1) This is not always true, and 2) That young rigger can get it done faster and there will be no doubts in his or the skydiver's mind that everything is correct. I hope you and Mark will accept my apology for focusing on one area while trying to explain another. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  15. Anyone coming to WFFC? I would like the opportunity to demonstrate. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  16. A parachute does not have be disconnected to warrant a full continuity check. One can tangle the parachute enough to warrant a full continuity check... Let me give you an example. You can take the rig and pass it thru one side of a line group (in between lines) and walk the steering lines and four groups up and everything looks peachy. Except, if you look at the connector links (or slinks) you will find line "A" & "B" of the same group rubbing on each other from a single twist, rather than running straight up to its attachment point. That one twist is like taking two pieces of cord and rubbing them together creating heat and friction... Not so good an idea for suspension lines. A full continuity check is just that... It's not a four line check or a walk-up... It's a procedure to ensure that every line is in its proper place and takes a whole *maybe* five minutes if the canopy is hung up and two people work in tandem on it. One person at the connector links and one at the canopy. Better to do a full continuity check and be wrong; than to not do one and be wrong. 17. I stole the, "Whatever happens to you; happens to me a 100th of a second later" routine. It seems to be quite the attention-getter. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  18. There's two DZ's on our airport. Our sister DZ is a USPA GM DZ, while we are not. We both require USPA Membership and we both have to pay $500.00 in "slip & slide" insurance and provide a certificate of insurance to the city. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  20. Thank you very much, Tom Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  21. Mine is a "non USPA Group Member." We are on a municipal airport, but abide by the USPA SIMS/BSR. In fact, if you check out the site www.tulsatandems.com under training, rules, etc... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  22. OK... now I'm going to have to check.. I was under the impression that if both parties were members of the USPA, that it would not apply. Kinda if one skydiver hit another skydiver's car, that it was between them. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  23. However, if a fellow skydiving USPA Member owns the C-152; is it covered? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  24. Just for the record... not my design. This was floating around the Internet when all the replacement proposals were being considered. I thought it cute, but am not too far off BillVon's position. I think the Twin Towers should be the way they were, but for a different reason. It could serve as a memorial, but it would mean that "they" did not change the landscape of America. To me, a different landscape would serve as a constant reminder of their success. The original landscape would serve as a reminder to us that we remain strong; no matter what adversity we face. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
