  1. Shit. Cops just can't get a break from any direction. Their superiors, the media, their peers who bend the law and then invoke the Code of Silence, the public, Attorneys bringing civil suits. Makes one wonder how anyone lasts more than twenty minutes as a cop. One can only guess the reward in putting one arsewipe behind bars for a looooong time or saving one life makes the BS worth it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Are you guys using the same avatar or is it just slightly different? I'm SO confused. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  4. When I first got back in the sport, I bought a Raven 249 DashM. I met a freeflier (about 5'5" 160#). We were trading off RW skills for FF'ing skills. At one point, I noticed how large his reserve pack tray was and asked him what size reserve he had which was the same as mine. I asked him why so large for his size. His comment was, "I really don't want to look up and my last thoughts be; I should have went with a larger reserve." 6. Kinda off-thread, but I'm thinking a Pink Mafia sisters bikini calendar would sell really well. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. Perhaps a protest march in front of McDonalds will get things rolling. Let us know how it works out. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. Please give my best to Roger and Richard. Give JP some shit for me about his skydiving-related dislocated shoulder. Keith Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. The whole sheep thing didn't work out? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  10. Denis, You have a couple of options: 1. Contact one of the Master Riggers on here and ask them how much they would charge to install a "Pillow" against the backpad of your main pack tray. It's been done hundreds of times over the years and work well. 2. Start with Sunrise and talking to Ankie. Their specialty is odd sized main pack trays for inordinately sized reserves and may be able to completely re-do your main pack tray or add the pillow. 13. LMAO - What's even funnier is watching someone do that and thinking, "WTF?!?!?!?, that's gonna hurt." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  14. The fault wasn't in the police department's operational execution, nor her reaction. The fault was in the intel phase. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  15. Do you realize that a predominate amount of this audience is exactly as you described? We have Executives, Doctors, Lawyers, Pilots, Physicists, Engineers, Professors, Police Officers. And, we have those with one child, multiple children, some children who come to the DZ, some kids who go on to become skydivers, some whose grandchildren have gone on to be 3rd generation skydivers? Having said that, let's talk a little about Gambler's Fallacy. You have just as much risk on your first jump as you do on your 10,000th. You have a personal decision to make and it shouldn't be based on a movie. Good Luck. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  16. All of them. Is there another method? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  19. You don't have to go thru all that trouble, man. You can just ask me to leave... I'd lose some weight if you and Chi wouldn't lay so many cows on Saturdays. Thanks having me over while home. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  21. We don't hero worship soldiers. There are average Americans who voluntarily choose to put on a uniform and perform their duties up to and including dying whether they agree with the administration or not. We as fellow Americans respect them for that. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  22. I agree with this. But, as it stands right now, Pilots, crew and "Elite" passengers" get a pass - special lane, no extra checks, etc. If the argument is emulating a soldier, the same argument could be applied to pilots and crew. If one; then all. I have expressed my views on TSA's nonsecurity "security" on here before. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  23. I've been an a plane roughly 40 times this year. Me; I understand. Soldiers in uniform? We should be ashamed. Write a Congressman, would ya? http://www.sftt.org/cgi-bin/csNews/csNews.cgi?database=Unlisted.db&command=viewone&id=52 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  24. Welcome... my coldest skydive was 22F on the ground. My coldest military S/L jump was north of the Arctic Circle and it was -30F on the ground. Myself and another Jumpmaster were verbally wrestling for JM priviledges to claim the title of JM North of the Arctic Circle... I'm glad I lost that one. They were challenging when I was in my 20's and I have fond memories of those jumps and surrounding events. Kicking 50 in the ass, I'll hang with around 30F at altitiude, but below that, my ass is heading for a hot toddy. Keep us posted and have fun.
