Does your boss get mad you are on dz.com at work?
BIGUN replied to pfloyd's topic in Speakers Corner
Mirrors can be used with the explanation of "jumpy with someone behind me." The Win+M keys minimize everything. EDIT: I am the boss Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
Suggestion: Talk to your local rigger about doing your harness sizing when you're passing thru the 177# mark and ask for 2 extra inches of chest strap. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

OK... I'm there. I didn't even catch the 147/4 - currency's going to make me agree with everything said on here. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Perhaps it wasn't the camera so much as it was the L bracket. Would you have any objections to start doing RW with a side mount as a learning path with 147 jumps? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

He now has 147 jumps... Enough to get a Coach rating and work with students, but would be considered "reckless" to learn to fly with a camera? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Ahhh... eat what you want and get bigger freefly pants. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

My being a skydiver helped when I got my PPL too. Most PPL's I've had as skydiving students do a great job with canopy control and allow me to communicate with them using a common frame of reference. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

AFF level 2 gone wrong...but worked out beautifully!

Yup, just relative wind.

He's a visionary. With the growing popularity of wingsuits, how long before someone lays a tunnel on its side? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Very nice. I'm more of a truck fan, but the white w/silver wheel and interior all looks clean. Wished I fit in it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Well, I learned something new. I never knew it wasn't official until 1986. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Was the schedule for SkyFest moved up?!?!?! Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

I have the same setup at home... but here's the goal. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Dave, Like you said in a further down thread, it just becomes a floating hackey, but I still found it a bit unnerving on the second one where it had floated up and little high and my pinky happened to graze it so I knew where it was. Took it to my local rigger nd had him sew a _small_ piece of velcro to the FF handle and the opposing piece on the inside of the right closing flap. As with any velcro, just got to keep an eye on it, but it hasn't floated since. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Brian: Do you think an educational path associated with USPA B, C, & D licenses taught by USPA rated canopy coaches for HP canopies would reduce the number of hook-turn related fatalities per year? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

If you are taking over the business, does it have any contracts (existing or new) that can be used as collateral to secure the loan? What type of business? How much do you need? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

According to the Princeton on-line dictionary; "Judgment is the cognitive process of reaching a decision or drawing conclusions." IMO that can be done one of two ways. 1) as you state, "through [often bad] experience," or 2) proactive education. In either case, it is education. The question is; can one afford to learn from their own bad experience if the result of learning is fatal? What have others learned from these fatalities? Dr. Kallend - You're the man who gave us a computer model that taught exit order to an entire industry. How many lives did you save by demonstrating the FF'ers should get out after BF'ers? Between yourself, Billvon, and Winsor, shattered the notion of a 45 degree rule and taught us it was wrong. I know you saved my life at least once when my four way refused to get on the plane over the ff'ers protest of, "we always do it this way" and we pointed them to your model. Because you taught us, we learned and exercised judgement. Because we exercised judgement based on your educating us - they learned and are now exercising judgement. John, sometimes I just don't get you. An educator opposed to education who's demonstrated education works and can save lives.
