How many jumps before your SCR?

Ummmm... Rule Breakers!! I'm telling Bill. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
How many jumps before your SCR?
BIGUN replied to steveorino's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well, that's one ugly crew to have to spend pictures with for the rest of your life. Sorry I couldn't be there to add some big handsomeness to the jump. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
How many jumps before your SCR?
BIGUN replied to steveorino's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
One does not need to be a member of USPA to be an SCR, SCS, etc. Recipient. Any skydivers on the planet can make the dive, submit the application (with membership funds). As you'll find on the website Steve provided - it's one of the longest standing awards skydivers can make. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

My first weekend as a skydiver. (AFF experiences)
BIGUN replied to mijnjiku's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
One cannot fail an AFF level. They can only not move on to the next category. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
I'm sorry, you jumped in front of the other contestant before ringing in. So, even though you had the right answer, I'm afraid your prize package will be reduced to a trip to Yugoslavia. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

You and I could have some good long conversations about this. First point is, we're talking about the difference between a Instructor Training Program versus and Instructor evaluation program (the current process). I "suspect" that you and I are of the same school where it should be an Instructor Training Program, not an evaluation program. If that is true, then I agree with your disagreement. But, from the evaluation courses i went to, there's no reason that one could not get evaluated on their abilities to perform in an FJC ground school, then be evaluated on the practicum of S/L IAD and AFF in a week. And, you and I have a similiar philosophy except my line is, "You're not an Instructor until you've been scared by several student's creativity." Please consider making the Reply Text Field larger. Monitor resolution changes over the years keep making it smaller. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
Have to agree with everything you just said. Just got a new HP 9000DV with awesome docking station - took six hours from opening the boxes to configuring everything. Had to develop workarounds for the printer drivers. P.S. for them what use Filezilla.... not ready for Vista yet. That one kinda tossed me... backed my files up to the webserver and then... well, shit... had to go to the XP computer to download them to a flash to upload to the new laptop... All in all - Once it's tweaked; it's pretty good. And, it was kinda fun to get my head back in the IT game for a little while and see that my skills were just rusty and not gone. I like the new MSOffice 2007 environment. They have some really good features in it. The network wizard isn't... use the manual configuration. Because a Doctor decided you can function based on the prescription for you. If one takes a Vicodin from a friend; they have decided they can function and may not. But as you say, you choose to accept it because they are the employer. For those on public assistance, that is their employer. No worries, mate. Explanation or correction by Rob. I envision that someday one will go to a week long course and get IAD, S/L and AFF and the title will become "Instructor" with the only differentiator being Tandem Instructor as an additonal skill identifier on the USPA Card. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

This implies an AFF Instructor is needed/required once the S/L student becomes a freefall student. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Very well put. Do you remember the Washington Plan a few years back... Not that much unlike your model; where the basics were taken care of, but there was a declinging scale of benefits with a inclining scale towards independence and self sufficiency. One had 8 years to get off the program. By year four, had to be enrolled in college or trade school., Upon competion, and getting a jiob, the rug wasn't yanked out from under them, but adjusted to increase in wages - so if they needed Health Care, or child care, it wasn't just removed. But, in no case could anyone be on any assistance for more than 8 years. Now, the flip side of thatt coind was - they did what they weere supposed to; but in the 8th year moved to anoterh more lenient State. Need a national program like TSA.... Ya know thousands standing around not doing anything concrete, but enough to earn a paycheck. Sorry, been traveling a lot lately and am seriously not impressed - almost embarrassed. SkyFest 7: July 11th to 16th 2007 @ SD Spaceland!

For those coming from up north.... If you've never been to Houston; the humidity will suck you dry -quickly. Please consider "prehydrating" yourself for at least 4 days prior to arriving and then "overhydrating" all day long. If you wait until you get there and start drinking water then, it'll be too late. And we do hope you'll visit the Skydiving History and Trivia Forum. In looking at your D number, there's bound to be some folks you know and some great skydiving stories to share. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

That's 2.25 tickets every hour for 7 hours ( one hour lunch on an eight hour day). Seems awfully aggressive schedule to find, stop, check, write ticket, hop on scooter.... do it again. Here's a performance measure for ya... Ask every officer to get 12 community service awards or letters of commendation from citizens per annum. By the time you fulfill all the requirements for completing the "A" License card, it really doesn't matter which instructional methodology you took. All three instructional methodologies are designed to get you at the same place in roughly the same amount of skydives.
