Ya know, I kinda wondered about that. I didn't know if C9A meant parachute or A/C and didn't know of a C9A parachute, but when you spoke of 5 or 7TU, those I did know and when I saw the picture gallary of C9A aircraft - was kinda scratchin my head doin the math. Forty years is quite a feat and I wish you the best of times on your anniversary. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

Yes, 20 sq.ft. is that much of a difference. Believe it or not; the difference between going from the 288 to the 220 was not as significant as going from a 210 to a 190 will be. After awhile, 10 sq.ft. will be an exponential difference. There's been more than one experienced skydiver who've gone down 10 sq.ft. only to wind up injured or scared enough to sell their new canopy and upsize. It uses Fedora Linux. Same looking "environment" as the new improved Vista or Mac OS. Check it out... http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=linux&gbv=2 And if one chooses to use OpenOffice.org... don't have to pay nuthin for "MS Office" type apps. In addition to the suggestions above, there are several reputable riggers who will allow you to ship your rig to them (SDD, Derek (HooknSwoop on here), Chuting Star, SkyWorks, Etc. Etc.). Also, www.rigminder.net has a rigger locator. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Desert Storm seems like yesterday; not 17 years ago. It's reached the point where I'm afraid to go take a dump and lose another 5 years. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
I think the 3 year "in-sport" rule is a good one and should be the same with all Instructor Ratings. Course, some of that went "POOF" when they changed the JM to I ratings. The short course to this is; I'm with you on, "It's time for change. Lots of it in Skydiving Instruction." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

It's not about the main, it's about the reserve. Does it have to be a 7 Cell ZP, rather than a 9 cell? How many jumps does he have? If you're looking for something comprable to a HALO rig, Depending on the person's experience, W/L, etc.,,, You could get by with a Rig that's TSO'd at 300# A Manta 288 ZP (9 Cell) Square A PD 281 Reserve. Our pilots do it on every load. In fact, they communicate 5 minutes out, 3 minutes out, 1 minute out. Jumpers Away Jumpers on the ground. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Thanks for the info. Understood everything you said regarding pix resolution & sizing... they can be cahnged from 72 dpi back to 300, but has a tendency to be grainy. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Shit, there's only four skydivers and two SF guys I'd trust in my house. (j/k) I think it's a good idea. I travel an inordinate amount during the week and stay in hotels from Washington State to Florida. It'd be nice if I could know which DZ's would charge me nothing, ten, twenty, thirty, etc. for a night's accomodation during the week. Even if there's only a few skydivers around or even none, Let me use the DZ lounge to watch tube or if they have a WAP so I could get some work done in the evenings... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

You have some of the finest Instructors on the planet. As long as they haven't given up on you, don't give up on yourself. Using a grease pencil; write this on the mirror in your bathroom.
