  1. There's also a free website http://www.leftseat.com/medcat1.htm updated fairly regularly. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Hope you didn't think I was addressing you... It was directed to humanflite's RFI post. Sounds like you made the right decision. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. There's more than one way a rig can inadvertently be flipped thru the risers. Please get with an Instructor or Rigger at your local DZ for an explanation, demonstration and decision-making processes if faced with one in the future. 4. SO IT'S YOU!!! You're the "we gotta go girl." Good job. edit: figured I better come back and let everyone know that I know Jason is a guy and was using the sarcasm from the "we gotta go girl" comedy routine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceasq8j4pXU Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. You know what? Your having to repeat a dive don't mean a thing. Well, it means one thing: You're human. Some of the worst students have gone on to be world champions; or well-respected in their discipline; or great mentors; or great Instructors. It takes time. It takes more than just a couple of jumps. Everyone has brain locked - no one can say they have done every dive perfectly. No one. Technically, you know what you're supposed to be doing, what you're failing to do is relax. "Alright, smart guy, just how the fuck am I supposed to do that?" That's easy... as your headed to the door, get your instructor to look you in the eye, stick your tongue out at him/her and smile. Hey Mike!!! Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

    Advice?

Thank you. I'm very proud of her drive and determination. At one point, she had networked her way pretty deep into the movie set community and met numerous celebrities. Being a young skydiver and knowing that one of my "heros" was Dar Robinson, she managed to get him to call me for my birthday. We chatted for a few minutes, he was encouraging about skydiving and I thanked him for the B'day call. One of the best B'day presents I ever got. edit: wonder how many people know that Harrison Ford had a small bit part in American Graffitti, but afterwards had difficulty finding acting work for a long time. He changed careers while pursuing his dream and worked as a movie set carpenter for many years before his next break. Advice?

At 22, my sister (edit: without a degree) left for California with little more than a dream of working behind the scenes on movie sets and enough gas and food money to get there. She met a couple of other girls "pursuing" their dreams and they teamed up and lived in a garage. The other two bailed cause it didn't happen fast enough for them and they wanted in front of the camera. She stayed, networked and worked twice as much. Today, she has three personal movie credit listings (her name is actually in the credits list). She eventually came back and had enough money to open her own restaurant. At 46, she is retired and going back to college. You gonna talk about it or do it? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  13. Did you find them? You've caught a lot of shit on here... welcome to the family. Ya better be thick-skinned in this sport. I must admit to a little laughter after reading that your bag-lock resulted in an instant opening and a safe landing and thinking, the only thing instant on a bag lock is that "Oh shit" feeling and if you landed it safely; you sir, have the first documented safe landing of a pilot chute. 22. My brother-in-law gets laid off from a large police department after ten years of being on patrol. Not ONE of his brothers in blue that stayed on the force even gave him a call. That made him the angriest of anything. Supposedly, his brothers who "had his back" all those years thought he caught a plague of some kind. The others that were "laid off" rallied on occasion, but eventually drifted away to other jobs or left the area. SO... I couldn't agree with your recommendation more.
