1.) What made you want to go skydiving > I was a military jumper and hoping to go to HALO school so I thought skydiving would give me a leg-up when I got there (hehe, I said, leg.) Fell in love with it. 2.) What did you feel prior to jumping out of the plane. >My Jumpmaster smacking me on the ass. 3.) What was the free-fall like > It's like jumping into a windblast and then riding a cushion of air. 4.) When you touched down how did you feel > Like going and doing it again. 5.) Anything else you want to say about skydiving. Don't listen to Airtwardo Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

You might run a search. We've done at least 4/5 Psychological Profiles geared towards skydiving over the years by various under/grad students. All said results would be provided upon request, I requested and never received results, therefore, me no do anymore. Your character would have difficulty becoming "elite" and to carry a tandem as trained by the military on a first enlistment - it's "usually" a second re-enlistment. A more plausible scenario would be one who chose the military in lieu of jail; signed up for Airborne Infantry and found himself assigned to the 82nd Airborne. Jumping out of planes changed his life and gave him a way to channel his thrill-seeking behaviors in a positive way. He chooses to pursue his new found passion for jumping by concurrently becoming a civilian skydiver while assigned to the 82nd Airborne. Within a year or so, he racks up enough skydives to become a civilian Tandem Instructor. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

May I suggest you place an ad/editorial in the newspaper with the highest circulation in the area explaining the details and thanking your guardian angel. They may even pick it up as a Humanitarian piece and do an article on it to ensure he gets the recognition/thanks deserved. I voted no. And, I thoroughly disagree with the "Yellow heart for cowardice" comment. While PTSD, is a real psychological condition based on environmental factors which program the adrenal gland, it is not an injury resulting from physical external factors like a bullet, shrapnel, IEDs, etc. Medals and awards have been dumb-downed enough. The Purple Heart should be left alone. The Purple Heart is for a physical injury during combat. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

What dropzones offer AFF for big students, 245 lbs?
BIGUN replied to lewmonst's topic in Safety and Training
Lew, I'm not sure there's any DZ in the US that can offer an opportunity for a "FAA TSO C23d for up to 350 lb. gross weight at 150 kts." For example, my home DZ has a VIII, whereby the weight limiting factor of the harness is defined by the reserve max. So, for example, our VIII has a PDr-281 (therefore, max weight is 300#) with a PD 300 F111 main which has (if memory serves a 304 max weight), so we cannot go over the 300 total exit reserve max weight. While an advocate for the Anvil Brothers; over 300, you're looking at a two choices, 1) the MC-4, or a modified tandem rig (which there's not a lot of DZs willing to go thru the mod expense for the occasional one-time cargo drop). If I can be of further assistance, shoot me a PM and I'll give you my cell number to see what I can do to help or give you a better azimuth. What to use as the "spine" of a wind blade?
BIGUN replied to everymansaved's topic in Gear and Rigging
Crappie rod and a tent stake. Wal-Mart Loop on bottom of wind blade around tent stake so the blade doesn't blow right off the rod. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

While I agree with the statement... I can tell you that I'm tired of having to reboot Vista SP1 about three times a day. It's almost like the old kernel32.dll mem leak of XP v.1, I know that I could revert back to XP SP3, but let's face it;. at some point M$ is not going to sell or support XP anymore. I agree. w/r/t S|S|T|R being linear or concurrent. IMHO - S|S|T|R must be planned linearly, components can be executed slightly concurrent and should be based on advisement from field officers. For example, S| _S| ___T|R| or S| S| ___T| ___R| But, I do not see where |T|R| can be mutually concurrent with S|S| Whereas, I can see |T| having a "slight before" finish relationship before the completion of |Stabilization Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
