Interesting concept that just might gather some momentum. http://taxdayteaparty.com/ Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Whereas, I found stats and cost accounting in grad school to be exciting. Part of it is; the Professor. And, on that note, your professor probably has a roster of tutors in their hip pocket. But, take at least one or two classes to see if a tutor is necessary. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

The success of drug decriminalization in Portugal
BIGUN replied to nerdgirl's topic in Speakers Corner
OK. We'll do it your way... ***A Reuters news story quoted Dr. Nuttall as saying, "Smoking cannabis on a regular basis actually depletes your lung of protective antioxidant substances...and this may have chronic long-term implications for young individuals." Those antioxidants protect cells against damage that can lead to cancer. The study found that marijuana users showed more signs of damage than those who smoked only cigarettes. Marijuana- and tobacco-smoking are damaging to the lungs, but marijuana smoke has 50 to 70 percent more known carcinogens than tobacco smoke. In 1999, Dr. Zuo-Fend Zhang of the Jonsson Cancer Center at the University of California Los Angeles linked marijuana-smoking with head and neck cancers. He said, "Many people may think marijuana is harmless, but it's not. The carcinogens in marijuana are much stronger than those in tobacco." A year before, Dr. Marinel Ammenheuser and her colleagues at the University of Texas Medical Branch found evidence that marijuana-smoking causes the same kind of damage to DNA as tobacco. Source: http://www.aim.org/media-monitor/medical-marijuana-causes-cancer/ http://www.motleyhealth.com/articles/2009/02/marijuana-causes-testicular-cancer.html http://www.fitsugar.com/997104 And, yes there are studies upon studies for both sides... but what we don't need a study for is DUI and fatalities.... so, let's not add additionally impaired drivers to the road, please. Don't really care what you do in your house, drink, smoke, toke, coke, etc. Just please don't take it out on the road. Unfortunately, once things get "legalized" people will push the envelope. Okay, we're making progress here... what if HH were to completely take off the classifieds section and tie the hyperlink to his ebay store. He could make money on both the front and back ends and un-cloogie the site somewhat. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

Here's my empirical data - Once there's no more drunk drivers, then lets talk about legalizing marijuana. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -
He may have given the correct speech at the correct time. My impression from having experienced it before is that he was given a platoon of dipshits and was trying to hit every button to get some kind of verbal/nonverbal reaction out of them to see where to begin fixing it... You'll notice he didn't shut down any questions. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Are you asking for a 50% raise or to be appropriately compensated for your services. If it's the latter, do not go in and ask for a raise, you will fail. First, draft up an employment agreement (Google it) and spend a few days on it. New title, role & responsibilities new compensation package (Salary, bonuses (metrics for bonuses [EBIT] is usually a good one], 401K contribution, health care, short/long term disability, life insurance and any other perks [stock options or stock purchase program], be sure to include a clause of confidentiality). Then, send him a meeting planner with a couple of days advance lead for him to chew on it - embedded with a nice LONG positive cover letter about your wishing to stay with the company for a long time along and why with the proposed employment agreement. Good Luck. Keith EDIT: Please understand that employees cost employers ~20.25% more than what they are being paid. Creating a box which makes a lot of generalizations about segments of society only stands to reinforce those prejudices of race or sex. And, when that box is forced on one; it is the same as getting the ugly lime green sweater from Aunt Tilda and made to keep it in the closet only to be worn for those occasions that Aunt Tilda visits. Forcing Aunt Tilda's box on one only serves two purposes, 1) to perpetuate resistance, rather than education, and 2) only reinforces to those in the 'box" that they are of "lesser value" and need regulatory assistance. How to get rid of spammers and Scams and increase site revenue
BIGUN replied to BIGUN's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
BIGUN: Does your proposal include all the forums? In that case you'll get rid of an awful lot of legit users too.*** The initial proposal was for "everything" meaning all forums would be 30 days free, etc. etc. The part about Speaker's Corner was with some levity... Here's what I do know... 1) any site that is generating sufficient revenue wouldn't need to cloogie up their site with nine bazillion adwords which most are going to adblocker anyway (not the banner.... that's a good thing for those in our sport... I paid for a banner ad a couple of years ago), 2) Use your ATM card to subscribe... the final objective was to have a complete profile, associated with a credit card to give pause to the scammers. Is it perfect; "No." But, is it a start and a direction for the powers to be - perhaps. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

No need to hang on to their CC# anyway.... they're not buying a domain name... it is a subscription and upon approval, delete and at the end of the subscription period; an email of renewal goes out just like on the ad renewal. First 30 days use = free trial - no transactions allowed (either buying or selling) or use of email. After 30 days... $30.00 for 90 days = everything except email. $60.00 for 6 months = everything + email $90.00 for one year = Everything + what's currently available in the Premier Membership + additional email gigs. $100.00 for one year = Everything + what's currently available in the Premier Membership + additional email gigs + SPEAKERS CORNER. How does this get rid of scammers? Proper and full profile with * mandatory fields and payment by CC (now making scammers somewhat traceable). Members could switch off any mandatory fields to the outside world. While you're at it; would you create a form for the incidents thread with informational fields before one can post Male/Female: Name if released: Location: H/C Manufacturer: Main Canopy: Main W/L: Reserve Canopy: Reserve W/L: AAD? Type: RSL? Helmet: Injuries or Fatality Description of Incident: Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. -

In addition to communicating with the local Air Traffic Control facility, all aircraft in the Persian Gulf AOR are required to give the Iranian Air Defense Radar (military) a ten minute 'heads up' if they will be transiting Iranian airspace. This is a common procedure for commercial aircraft and involves giving them your call sign, transponder code, type aircraft, and points of origin and destination. This conversation was overhead on the VHF Guard (emergency) frequency. The conversation went like this... Iranian Air Defense Radar: 'Unknown aircraft you are in Iranian airspace. Identify yourself.' Aircraft: 'This is a United States aircraft. I am in Iraqi airspace.' Air Defense Radar: 'You are in Iranian airspace. If you do not depart our airspace we will launch interceptor aircraft!' Aircraft: 'This is a United States Marine Corps F-18 fighter. Send 'em up, I'll wait!' Air Defense Radar: Total silence - no response.
