  1. Please help me to understand. If there is no intention of doing away with the paper ballots in lieu of on-line voting; why are you going thru this exercise? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. ...in this song and even more so when baby's got blue eyes. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. Do you have access to her log book where you could put down some of the names she may have had in there; so those on here who know them can reach out for you? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. I think there's something in the SIMS about flying around bodies of water? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. At what point during the 4 million cheese burgers and 8 million Twinkies does one think - Ya know, I think I'll do some dancing and put it on youtub (sic) Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  6. Well, it took a whole 34 posts to kill this thread. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. Bill, would you consider this statement still true or could we still accomplish the same; spending the money on earth/ocean exploration? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. My thoughts also... Not only as a staging post, but more as a "can we go further" based on what we learned here. As to cost, the combined total spent since 1969 might have covered the cost to place a small colony on the moon. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. Political positions aside, it's an opinion question about the space program. For at least the past 20 years, I have been curious as to why we have not settled on a goal for space exploration. It's been 41 years since we put a man on the moon and I question, "Why haven't we "colonized" a small contingent on the moon yet?" In addition to those thoughts; have been - If all we're going to do is keep going up and down, then why not spend that money on earth/ocean research? Is it more advantageous/likely that as the world's population continues to grow that we should explore ocean dwelling, clean fuel, etc. more... can we learn more from ocean dwelling that could be applied to space colonization? Do you think the NASA program should be "re-engineered" with some definitive goals and time-lines, scrapped in exchange for earth/ocean exploration, combination of both? 13. What I am implying is that "if" what the OP is saying is true, then to point at a Dolphin and laugh is undeserving of a damn fine rig and says more about those pointing; than it says about the Dolphin. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  14. Because most Aussies are more impressed with something shiney, than functional? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  15. How much pre-Cat F are you talking? Can the holder of any Instructional license in any discipline still do Cat E? EDIT: ENHANCED TO CLARIFY After re-reading this far, my only comment is, "silliness" when one takes a student on a skydive without the appropriate rating. It's a danger to the student and could result in a major civil or criminal action, Does one really want to stand in front of a jury and say.... "No, I don't hold an Instructor's rating from any recognized organization or association." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  20. Years ago, a fellow skydiver and I took our dates to a Rodeo. During the bronc riding event, the first two guys outta the chute headed off to the hospital, Then, during the bull-riding event; the first three guys outta the chute went to the hospital. Jim and I looked at each other with the exact same thought. "And, they think we're crazy!" The fact of the matter is; some or most of us have been injured a whole lot more working on the house, or during drunken bonfire episodes. or weather holds than we have skydiving. I promise you; I've seen a lot more DZ injuries during weather holds than I have during blue sky, big white puffy days. We have a saying, "Nothing more scary than a bored skydiver." 21. Container opinions are reserved because all three are good companies with excellent products, great service and friends in the industry. Think of it as apples. Each one good, just your personal preference as to royal red, granny or Arkansas black. Most have jumped many and some have jumped them all. You will be happy with any choice you make. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  22. I'm sorry to hear that, he's always been a favorite. I just watched him playing Billy Clanton in "Gunfight at the OK Corral" on AMC Westerns. The movie was made in 1957 and he was only 21 years old. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  23. Any good southern'er will tell yea; yea can't explain nothing without usin no pitchures... Oh, and... for those heading down to these here parts, when you're told: Ya need to go up and turn "thisaway," it means left. Ya need to go up and turn "thataway," it means right. Unless you're getting your directions from a lady, then you have to watch her hands to see which way it means. And if there are no turns involved; "thisaway" probably means you need to turn around and go back, while "thataway" means you need to continue going in the direction you were headed. 24. It's an associative process. For most, there is a frame of reference between all the memories of swimming and scuba. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  25. You may want to double check that... http://www.import-car.info/customs.shtml I don't know if it means you must live in the US; or own it in the US. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
