  1. Evidently, HEMA has a drop-down menu. The top selection is "Test Warning System," the next one down is "Sound Warning System." You would think they'd be at opposite sides of the menu, in separate drop-downs. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Its a fairly long article. Some will agree with other points; while others won't. For me; I believe the gate-wage (amount a convict receives when out-processing) should be higher to reduce the recidivism rate. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. Well, that is definitely the other side of the coin, Bill. And, I believe your statement, "...become ever more pervasive, to the point that people will feel crippled without it" is going on right now. You'll understand that I hope that I'm more right than you. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. In reading the whole article; this would probably be a good thing for the Democrats. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. You and me both. I wasn't on facebook very long and that was at the insistence of a few close friends. In fact, it was a grand total of 36 hours before I deleted my account. In that 36 hours, I observed an exponential division among friends over topics that would usually be discussed over a beer and respect for a differing opinion and still friends the next day (not result in a "unfriending"). I had been geo-tagged twice (they didn't have the opt-out setting yet) and I feared that 1) any sense of "personal" would be lost forever (anything posted became their intellectual property according to the ToS), and 2) a deluge of posts that aligned with one side or the other in a childish game of, "Told you so." For the past few years, I've been predicting the end of the social media era; but I do think that is a five-year proposition from today at best. The division between the two parties is only growing wider and for that I blame social media. The engineers at facebook and other social media platforms may not be responsible for "fake news," but that doesn't mean they don't have blood on their hands. I truly believe (maybe misguided hope) that someday in the future, people will look back on the era of social media and say, "What the hell were we thinking?" 6. 1. Dyslexic man walks into a bra. 2. "I said to the gym teacher: 'Can you teach me to do the splits?' He said: 'How flexible are you?' I said: 'I can't make Tuesdays.'" 3. "Doc, I can't stop singing The Green, Green Grass of Home. He said: 'That sounds like Tom Jones syndrome.' 'Is it common?' I asked. 'It's not unusual' he replied. 4. I'm on a whiskey diet. I've lost three days already. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. This is article is a long, but important read no matter which side of the aisle your on. You'll get a pop-up box asking you to subscribe, or enter email, or facebook to gain acess, but you can just "x" out of the box and read the article. An early investor explains why the social media platform’s business model is such a threat—and what to do about it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  8. Wait, What?!?!?!? The Jeff Mullins I know ain't old enough to drive.... much less be a Major and a fighter jock. Must be someone with the same name. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. And, just to let you know... I did read the article. Not a big fan of WaPo; but have liked most of what Aaron Blake writes. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  10. That's not what I said. I was pointing out the obvious statement of "even more legitimate than Breitbart" and the political agendas of most opinion pieces as news. As with your "Guardian" and many others. Thanks for your opinion piece. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  11. Liberal Wolff writes, what Bannon said, to an admittingly left-leaning publication about Breitbart's legitimacy. "or maybe some other more legitimate publication." [I don't even know if that exists anymore.] Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  12. Only once... and then after she beat me with the wire coat hangars - not so much anymore. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  13. This is what I've told my girls from time to time when they did something and got hurt. "You won't be doing THAT again, will ya?" That reminds me of another one of mom's quips: "If you break your leg; don't come running to me!" Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Yeah, even GPS shows my house a good 200-300 yards down the street from where it actually is, but at least there aren't any other houses near that point. It's why when I'm expecting someone to come and know when they're showing up and they haven't been to my house before, they blow right by my driveway, then a couple minutes later, pull in after turning around at the next side street. The GPS no doubt is very accurate at determining where it is within a few feet. The error is in the database or algorithm it uses to figure where your house is. I have a friend in nowhere, Montana. If you put his address in Google maps; it'll take you approximately a mile and a half on the wrong side of the river. However, he usually gives out long/lat which takes you right to his property. Fortunately, him living in nowhere, Montana - the UPS/FedEx drivers know who he is and where he lives, so he got my gift with no problem. Moral of the story: Try Nowhere, Montana rather than Chicago. Course, I didn't see a dropzone till I road down through Moab. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Bezos is a liberal.. he can't be doing it wrong. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  17. We didn't have AFF back then. Static-Line Progression only. First jump (Abbreviated instruction since I was Airborne Qualified) $50.00 Paracommander & belly wart reserve with altimeter and stop watch dashboard $350.00 Each subsequent jump $1.00 per thousand feet + a dollar for the pilot. 18. This is my setup (attached)... Having said that, I've passed many a police officer and nobody has yet to pull me over. Maybe its their discretion or maybe its because most of the cops in my area have bikes also. But, eventually, I'll get that all enforcing code guy who'll pull me over because he can. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  19. Well, in Oklahoma - everyone except civilians can have red, white, blue police looking lights as long as they are some form of Police, DOT, emergency responder, (Wreckers are considered emergency responders) etc. The only exception I found in the code was - pilot vehicles can only have amber lights. As for those blue (or other color) undercarriage neon lights people use to accentuate their antique vehicles or motorcycles - they can be installed, but not turned on while moving. I put blue neons under my motorcycle and ran them at night so cages could see me better. I guess that was a waste of money cause I found out its a $90.00 fine. Short Course: It would appear its by jurisdiction. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  20. You are not mistaken and I have recently noticed a significant increase in their use outside law enforcement. It just so happens that my front road is going from two to four lane and even the guy with the slow/stop sign has red/white/blue strobes on his vehicle. I been meaning to check this out. Back with more findings.... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  21. I think you replied to the wrong person, but am glad to see that people like Billvon are addressing you directly. My position is this: We have been discussing this for at least 12-15 years (I would encourage you to use the search function to get some history on the matter), but I am in the camp of - If you're the flattest, fastest tracker; there's no need to be doing aerobatics at the bottom end of the dive. I would also encourage you to attend one of Billvon's (or another) bigway camp. The importance of turning from the formation at break-off; maintaining your heading; flat/fast tracking and a great wave-off will become very apparent. @Gary: Brother, I think we beat this horse to death some time back and even took a poll and came to the consensus that barrel rolls at the bottom end were to join the ranks of the 45 degree rule. I am sorry for your loss. Condolences and respect to the family & friends. Keith Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  22. NSFW How is a girlfriend like a laxative? They both irritate the shit out of you. What do you call the useless piece of skin on a dick? The man. How do you make your girlfriend scream during sex? Call and tell her about it. What do boobs and toys have in common? They were both originally made for kids, but daddies end up playing with them. Having sex is like playing bridge. If you don’t have a good partner, you’d better have a good hand. What does it mean when your boyfriend is in your bed gasping for breath and calling your name? You didn’t hold the pillow down long enough. I was sitting on my own in a restaurant, when I saw a beautiful woman at another table. I sent her a bottle of the most expensive wine on the menu. She sent me a note, “I will not touch a drop of this wine unless you can assure me that you have seven inches in your pocket.” I wrote back, “Give me the wine. As gorgeous as you are, I’m not cutting off three inches for anyone.” A redhead tells her blonde stepsister, “I slept with a Brazilian.” The blonde replies, “Oh my God! You slut! How many is a brazilian?” A little boy with diarrhea tells his mom that he needs Viagra. The mom asks, “Why on Earth do you need that?!” The little boy says, “Isn’t that what you give daddy when his sh*t doesn’t get hard?” Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  23. Mind if I add that having a jumpsuit with colors that strongly contrast the terrain will help that jumper above you seeing the wave off. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  24. I agree that qualifiers need to be codified. I don't think it requires a constitutional amendment. I don't see why it couldn't be added to the US Codes. There's currently rules in place for "gifts" of value from the lowest to the highest levels. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
