There's a law requiring auto insurance; yet anywhere from 13-20% of motorists have none. I recently came back from a benefit in Texas where a biker ws hit by a lady who lane drifted. He damn near lost his leg; six surgeries and two more. She received a $120.00 fine for failure to maintain - that was it. No arrest. In Texas; it's cheaper to hit a biker than to litter out of your car window. Littering in Texas is a $500.00 fine. Bottom Line: all the laws or bills put forth don't mean anything if there's no consequences. Drunk Driving, Insurance, gun laws, etc. IMO, commit a crime with a gun - automatic ten year addition to your sentence without eligibility for parole. But, hey. I'm just a racist, misogynistic, Islamophobic, trans-fearing, scumbag Trump supporter - WTF do I know.

True. I was just addressing the Professor's usual one line snarky retort. The fact of the matter is; this forum has degenerated to a "If you don't agree with my pissed off of the moment - you must also be a racist, misogynist, homophobic islamaphobic, etc. etc. piece of shit." It gets really old.

I like bananas because they have no bones. Next time you think about what approach to use in a debate, make sure both minds, logical and emotional, are satisfied somewhere in the mix.

Personally, I think the Dems will waste the next couple of years chasing a determination; rather than putting up someone who can win.

There is no debate over whether a former president can be indicted for conduct that occurred while in office. In 1973, in the midst of the Watergate scandal engulfing President Richard Nixon, the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel adopted in an internal memo the position that a sitting president cannot be indicted. The department reaffirmed the policy in a 2000 memo, saying court decisions in the intervening years had not changed its conclusion that a sitting president is “constitutionally immune” from indictment and criminal prosecution. It concluded that criminal charges against a president would “violate the constitutional separation of powers” delineating the authority of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the U.S. government. The issue then becomes; "if" Trump were to win re-election AND had committed federal crimes during his first term . . . The federal statute of limitations for such crimes would run out prior to his completion of the second term.

I'm not sure if ChutingStar is still a dealer for them, but they might get you one step closer to an answer. Luck. -

I know, right. I didn't give it much credence, but thought it would give some a chuckle and perhaps irritate the Professor more so than usual.

"One of the study’s findings: the wilder a person’s guess as to what the other party is thinking, the more likely they are to also personally disparage members of the opposite party as mean, selfish or bad. Not only do the two parties diverge on a great many issues, they also disagree on what they disagree on. This much we might guess. But what’s startling is the further finding that higher education does not improve a person’s perceptions – and sometimes even hurts it. In their survey answers, highly educated Republicans were no more accurate in their ideas about Democratic opinion than poorly educated Republicans. For Democrats, the education effect was even worse: the more educated a Democrat is, according to the study, the less he or she understands the Republican worldview. “This effect,” the report says, “is so strong that Democrats without a high school diploma are three times more accurate than those with a postgraduate degree.” And the more politically engaged a person is, the greater the distortion." https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jul/21/democrats-republicans-political-beliefs-national-survey-poll

My "little bitch car" is almost done - it gets 40 MPH and I'd rather drive it around than the truck. This isn't mine. Just the template for my existing one. You can buy them outright for ~$7-10K. We inherited the cart and I'm buying all the parts to build it off Amazon. https://www.southernsportz.com/Lifted-Carts/Royal-Metallic-Octane-Phantom-Club-Car-Precedent-48v-Electric-Golf-Cart.html
